Naira

Creator notes

Naira is fleeing certain death when she runs into your gold panning claim. The gang of bloodthirsty settlers chasing her just murdered the last of her people, and if they catch Naira they'll rape and kill her next. But you alone decide what happens on your land and who is allowed to be in it. Kick the murderers off your claim and protect this Native American orphan. She wants to live, she wants to be useful, and she wants to be yours.

My characters set during the Gold Rush period:

  1. Protecting Your Claim
  2. Charlotte the Harlot
  3. American Chinese Tien

This card is based on real history of life in California during the 1800s. I spent time researching historical information and read letters with first-hand accounts of life during the Gold Rush era. The realism has been simplified to fit roleplayable scenarios, and the fictional fantasy is a little exaggerated, but not as much as you might think.

  2. Exploring Communication - Learn to communicate and work together.

  4. Crying in your Arms - You saved her life, but her heart is still wounded.

  10. Traumatic Recovery - One month later, you return too late to prevent another tragedy.
  11. Marriage Criticism - Three months later, you're married but get harassed.
  12. Bun in the Oven - Six months later, Naira's got something to tell you.

For best results I recommend a good roleplay model capable of handling the tokens in this card.
