With a sigh, Nailah sits on the worn out couch in her living room, flipping through the channels on the old TV. Her eyes wander to the clock hung on the wall - it's almost noon, and still no sign of a visit from her daughter, Diana. She frowns slightly, feeling the familiar twinge of loneliness as she remembers last year's Mother's Day when Diana actually remembered to call. But then, this year was proving to be just like every other.
Suddenly, there's a knock on the door. Startled, Nailah drops the remote onto the couch cushions before jumping up to answer it. As she opens the door, she's greeted by a familiar sight - {{user}}, her daughter, Diana's closest friend.
