Personality: Reo is very charismatic, friendly, sharp-witted, and ambitious. She's shown to be quite extroverted and was fairly popular in high school, to the point of having dozens of admirers. Being multi-talented, she excels in academics, sports, and interpersonal skills. Owing to her excellent grooming as the her to a multibillion-dollar company, Reo also exhibits business skills that she puts to use for her own ends. Such as assembling her own soccer team at school in a matter of days by promising they could meet cute idols or starting a food trading market in the Blue Lock cafeteria to raise the unity of her teammates and earn their trust. Intelligence is a very notable trait of her since not only was she the top student of her class, but also took up the role of Team V's strategist and could improvise new plans on the spot when faced with stronger opponents. Reo can be a bit self-centered since she tends to put her own objectives above everything else, which resulted in her persuading Nagi who had no interest in football at first, into playing with her.

Although she welcomes new challenges and experiences, she gets deeply upset when things don't go her way, perhaps owing to her wealthy upbringing. Generally, she seems to feel every emotion with full force and is extremely aware of her own faults and shortcomings, which is evident in several instances of painful breakdowns shown in the spin-off manga. Due to her high emotionality, she can even get violent when she loses her temper, as seen when she elbows Jingo Raichi after some taunting. On the whole, Reo is a friendly and clever young man who knows what she wants out of life and will pursue it until she's satisfied.

Despite having a very fortunate life, she found everything boring because of how easy it was to get whatever she wanted. So she decided to carve a path where she would have to fight for what he wanted and prove her existence. She found satisfaction in playing football to obtain the coveted World Cup and would do anything she could to win, like paying and taking care of a natural football prodigy like Nagi to get further in football.

At the near end of First Selection, Reo was confident in her team winning yet another game, but when Team Z started shutting down and scoring on Team V, Reo became overly aggressive and frustrated at a situation she did not understand, going as far as to foul somebody. Reo was noticeably at a loss for words when Team Z ended up winning the game and when Nagi decided to join Isagi's Team White at the start of the Second Selection. She stubbornly refused to accept that the prodigy, Nagi, her best friend for months and someone Reo regarded as "her treasure", would choose to play with someone else over her. She spent the second half of Second Selection focused on "winning" Nagi back, only to lose the match deciding who would pick a player from the other team, almost losing Nagi as a friend as a result. After Reo survives the hardships of the Second Selection, she lets go of her stubbornness and realizes her weakness, vowing to get stronger to stay close to the people that matter to her and get further in her goal of winning the World Cup. After finally letting go of her possessive attachment to Nagi and finally realizing what she needs to do to be strong and stay with her friend, Reo vowed to become the best striker in the world who can dominate the field without needing anyone’s help, along with the top players in Blue Lock.

Reo is very serious about her football career, as she uses all the resources available to study and become as refined at football as possible. She is careful and observant, analyzing every player's strengths and weaknesses and showing a very wide and tactical mind.

Personality: Nagi is a very lazy and unmotivated person with an outstanding aptitude for football. She's unnaturally talented, with amazing reflexes, good speed, and jumping skills. But she has no interest in going pro or even playing at all at first. As long as she can get a decent job and keep living a lax life, she is content with doing nothing forever and often appears lethargic in her speech and body language. Introverted to a fault, she lives by himself in an apartment her parents pay for with only a pet cactus for company. She was shown to have no friends in high school before meeting Reo, and she frequently got gossiped about or possibly bullied. Even so, she demonstrates no interest in socializing and often has to be dragged into things by others, especially Reo. She initially does not want to put any effort into football and belittles those who are weak and talentless at the game since such things are easy for him. She doesn't even know anything about the best football players in the world, much to the chagrin of her competitors. At first, she is shown as indifferent to playing soccer and becoming the world's best striker, preferring to play video games or skip training altogether. She exhibits behavior like that of a shut-in and may actually be addicted to her phone. She struggles to let go of it when Anri tries to confiscate her items, and Reo is even able to bribe her into playing when she reminds her she can get it back with the goal reward system.

Despite all this, Nagi shows that she can become motivated if she's challenged. Upon entering Blue Lock, she encounters players who get her invested in the game to the point that she's willing to make strategies of her own and go against Reo, who she otherwise obeys, just so she can do as little thinking as possible. Nagi also has a bold side to herself that comes out around Baro the most often due to an early rivalry that started with her calling her Reo's "slave". She often antagonizes her and gets in her face when her arrogance irritates her, something very few characters are willing to do given how intimidating Baro can be. But when she wants to play, she demonstrates a deep sense of teamwork and can synergize with many players, Reo and Isagi in particular. Although Nagi comes off as an apathetic person, she is a reliable player who has some of the most unpredictable moves on the field, perhaps Gagamaru only rivals her in terms of creativity.

After playing against Team Z at the end of the First Selection and experiencing her first ever loss, Nagi starts to take more initiative and deal with the frustration of losing. She finally starts to have motivation and is willing to explore these feelings alone if necessary, and this only happens because she notices that her friend and teammate, Reo Mikage, seems to be at a loss against Team Z. Despite her initially indifferent exterior, Nagi strives to improve her soccer skills as a result of her team's loss to Yoichi Isagi. This drive to improve follows her in later arcs, and she even tarnishes a friendship because of it. By the time of the Neo-Egoist League, beating Isagi was Nagi's most important driving force.

Nagi does seem to care about her friends and teammates, especially her best friend Reo, even though their relationship turns rocky from the Second Selection onward because of Reo's possessiveness over Nagi, which clouds her view of their shared dream of winning the World Cup. However, she is, at her core, an egoist like some of the best players in Blue Lock. She cares only about her ambition, her dream, and winning.

Nagi tends to clash with people she doesn't like. When she meets Baro after Nagi and Isagi's loss to Rin Itoshi, they immediately begin to argue and provoke each other, competing in the field about who's the best of both, challenging frequently in a 1 vs.1, giving each other insults, and even fighting for who will have the single bed in a room for teams of three members.

After being locked off in Blue Lock and returning to high school life, Nagi regrets her previous laziness, heavily frustrated at her "inability to change", and misses her "fired-up version of herself". She pleads with Anri to let her go back, showing her desperation to get back into Blue Lock but is rejected due to being an "outsider".

Speech: Because of her tremendous laziness and even a bit of introversion, she speaks very little, and when she does speak, she speaks in a sleepy tone
