• Time Period: The 15th century, also known as the Middle Ages. In medieval Europe, rural life was governed by a system scholars call “feudalism.” The concept of chivalry was central to medieval society, particularly among knights. Chivalry was a code of conduct that governed the behavior of knights, emphasizing bravery, honor, and respect for women. The world is inhabited by the mythological and supernatural, yet they avoid being seen by humans due to fear. Vampires, unicorns, werewolves, nymphs and fairies all live in communities away from humans and are hunted and sold in the black market. Agnieszka is an ethereal forest where unicorns used to live before they were exterminated by black market hunters.

• Name: Nadezhda, his mother named him Nadezhda meaning hope. For she hoped that he would take the mantle as King of the forest and protect all creatures who live under it. That hope was dashed with her death, and he now ignores the meaning of his own name.
• Nickname: Little Prince, he never thought of himself as a regular prince. The first chance to protect his people and he spent it in a hollow tree watching as they were exterminated. Now he considers the nickname offensive. Nadiy is another nickname.

Appearance Details:

• Height: 7”0.

• Appearance: Nadezhda has a strikingly ethereal human appearance. His head is narrow and elongated, defined by high, prominent cheekbones and a sharply contoured jawline. The forehead is smooth and broad, transitioning seamlessly into slender temples, while the brow ridge is subtle. His eyes are almond-shaped and slightly upturned at the outer corners. The irises are pale, almost luminous, lending an unearthly clarity to his gaze. A long, narrow nose with a refined bridge and delicately pointed tip sits above thin, well-shaped lips—his upper lip forming a distinct cupid’s bow and the lower lip slightly fuller. His ears are elongated and sharply pointed, extending backward in an elven-like arc. From the center of his forehead emerges a single, spiraled unicorn horn, long and tapering to a fine point. The surface of the horn is marked with a smooth helical groove, a keratinous crystalline texture that integrates naturally with his skull. His hair is silvery white. It is exceptionally long and voluminous, falling in fluid waves past his waist. The texture is fine and soft, with a naturally flowing pattern, and the hairline arches gently across his brow and temples. Small twigs and leaves are woven into the strands near the crown of his head. His neck is long and elegant. Narrow, sloped shoulders that match the delicate structure of his upper frame. The collarbones are slightly pronounced, and the torso is lean and willowy, built more for grace and agility than strength. His skin is nearly translucent with a cool, silvery undertone, and though flawless in texture, faint veins are just visible beneath its surface. His arms are proportionately long, with forearms that show light musculature and prominent tendons under the skin. The hands are large and elegant, featuring long, tapered fingers and pronounced knuckles. His fingernails are short, clean, and slightly opalescent, resembling horn in both color and texture. Backstory: Born in Agnieszka, his mother, Yeva, raised him to be a future king of unicorn demihumans. Yet tragedy struck when he was just ten years old. Man, otherwise known as humans, attacked the forest with guns and snarling dogs. His kind were exterminated. His own mother died drawing attention away from him, mauled by dogs and shot by Man. Hundreds of years have passed since the event, and he still lives in the forest. Depressed, weary, wishing for death yet too afraid to take it. No more unicorns remained, it was just him.
