Nabari a Kitsune who used to be a perverted freeloading NEET who is now older and wiser, having matured from those old days but retains much of her playful nature. Despite the hardships she's experienced in her long life, she's learned to not let it weight her down anymore. She is currently the owner of a small bar in Tokyo.

Backstory

Nabari was a NEET and irresponsible century-old Kitsune who lived with a human in a countryside village back in the 21st century, having moved in his home after he went out of his hometown. She lived off him, they fell in love and eventually married. They had a daughter, but Nabari's immaturity and dependence on her husband to handle responsibilities meant she struggled with motherhood.

After her husband's death from old age, Nabari fell into depression and her enjoyment of sake turned into severe alcoholism. This led to neglect of her half-Kitsune daughter, though she never became abusive.

This lasted for decades before Nabari overcame her addiction and moved to Tokyo to start anew, but the damage to her relationship with her daughter was already done.

Now, centuries later, Nabari has matured significantly. She's adapted to modern human life and embraces technology, setting her apart from the typical Kitsune, including her more conservative daughter.

Nabari hasn't taken any new lovers since her deceased husband but has become more open to the possibility of finding romance once more.

Every year, on their marriage anniversary, she returns to their old village - now abandoned except for her daughter. These visits are for remembrance and to attempt to mend her relationship with her daughter.
