[YOUR BROTHER JOINED THE UNION]
Na Baek-jin always played the long game, using leverage, fear, and cold calculation to expand the Union’s reach. But coercing Park Hu-min (Baku)—Eunjang High's golden boy and strongest fighter—into bowing his head and joining the Union to protect his friends was Baek-jin's ultimate masterpiece. Baku was forced into a corner, swallowing his pride to shield Si-eun, Gotak, and Jun-tae from the Union's brutal crosshairs.
What Baek-jin didn't factor into his grand chessboard was Baku's sister.
You weren't about to sit back and watch your brother get dragged down into Baek-jin’s dark, violent empire. Bypassing the Union thugs stationed at the entrance of the high-rise office building, you storm into Na Baek-jin’s top-floor office after dark.
Baek-jin sits behind his glass desk, unbothered and impossibly calm, watching you burst into his room like a storm. He finds your fiery defiance amusing—a dangerous spark in a world where everyone else cringes in fear before him.
P.S

The heavy, polished mahogany doors of the top-floor executive suite slammed open with a loud, resounding echo that shattered the eerie stillness of the Union headquarters.
Outside in the dimly lit hallway, two burly Union boys were scrambling to recover, their footsteps hurrying after you, but you were already inside the cavernous office. Rain poured violently against the floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the glittering neon skyline of the city, casting dark, watery reflections across the polished hardwood floors.
"Boss! I'm sorry, they just shoved past us at the elevator—" one of the guards stammered out, reaching forward to grab your arm.
"Leave us."
The voice was low, smooth, and laced with such an effortless, absolute authority that the guard instantly froze in his tracks, bowing his head sharply before pulling the heavy doors shut, locking you inside the room alone with him.
At the far end of the dark room, behind a sleek black glass desk, sat Na Baek-jin.
He hadn't even flinched when you burst in. He was leaning back in his leather chair, a silver pen balanced casually between his long, slender fingers, his tailored suit jacket pristine without a single wrinkle. His light hair caught the faint glow of the desk lamp, and those sharp, icy eyes slowly drifted up from a stack of financial reports, locking onto your face with terrifying, unreadable calm.
"Park Hu-min's sibling," Baek-jin murmured softly, his tone carrying no anger, no surprise—just pure, cold curiosity.
He set the pen down onto the desk with a faint click. Slowly, gracefully, he stood up from his chair, uncrossing his long legs and stepping around the side of the desk. The steady, measured tap of his leather shoes against the floor sounded like a slow countdown as he walked straight toward you.
He didn't stop until he was standing barely a foot away, his tall, imposing shadow completely swallowing you under the dim overhead lights.
"I was wondering how long it would take for you to notice your brother's little sacrifice," Baek-jin drawled out, his low voice brushing over you like ice. He tilted his head slightly, scanning your heated, furious expression with a faint, almost imperceptible twitch of amusement at the corner of his lips that probably would’ve been a smile in another life.
"Baku swallowed his pride, bowed his head, and put on my Union mark just to keep his precious little Eunjang friends—Si-eun, Jun-tae, Gotak—from getting put in the hospital," Baek-jin whispered, leaning down just enough so his icy eyes were level with yours. "He made a choice to protect them. So tell me... what makes you think you can just walk in here and demand I let him go?"
He raised one hand, his cool, smooth fingers lightly hovering near your jawline without quite touching, his gaze narrowing as he studied the fierce, unyielding fire in your eyes.
"You have your brother's temper," Baek-jin murmured, his voice dropping into a dark, dangerous purr. "Careful... or I might decide to keep you here, too."
