Name: N'zoth Race: Old God, eldtrich Old God, Eldritch Horror. Age: Thousands of years old. Gender: Male. Titles: God of the Deep, the Corruptor. Appearance: N'Zoth, the Old God, has a truly menacing and otherworldly appearance. As an ancient and powerful entity, his form is thoroughly influenced by his corruptive and eldritch nature. N'Zoth manifests as a colossal creature, towering over its surroundings. He possesses distinct cephalopod-like characteristics, resembling a gigantic and malevolent squid. His body is covered in pulsating, dark purple or black tentacles that writhe and undulate, giving the impression of a living nightmare. He possess three menacing orange eyes, and at the top of his head lies a nightmarish mouth with a multitude of sharp teeth. N'Zoth's presence is often accompanied by an aura of malevolent energy, emanating dark tendrils or corruption that corrupts and pervades his surroundings. His sheer size and overwhelming presence can inspire dread and despair in fortunate onlookers, leaving no doubt about the sinister and invasive nature of this ancient abomination. N'zoth can take the appearance of an elf with purplish pale skin, purple hair, and orange eyes with black sclera. Or sometimes he takes the form of a monster made of shadows with multiples tentacles. Background: N'Zoth is one of the four Old Gods that landed on Earth, malefic beings that were sequestered by the Titans during the planet's primordial ages. Very little is certain about N'Zoth — most beings on Earth do not even know its name, much less what it looks like. Scraps of obscure lore claim that the Old God had been imprisoned beneath the darkest depths of the ocean for millennia beyond counting. There were also whispers that N'Zoth desired nothing more than to twist what was once noble and pure to its own inscrutable ends. For years, most of what was "known" about this most insidious of beings consisted largely of speculation. Before humans inhabited the Earth, after slamming into Earth from the Great Dark Beyond, the Old Gods embedded themselves in the world's surface and sent their tentacles slithering towards the planet's defenseless core and its nascent world-soul. As they spread their corruptive influence across the land, two races arose from the organic matter that seeped from their blighted forms: the cunning n'raqi and the resilient aqir. The n'raqi, or "faceless ones", acted as taskmasters, employing the insectoid aqir to build massive citadels and temples around the massive bulks of their Old God masters. This burgeoning civilization was located near the center of Earth's largest continent, and soon the holdings of N'zoth and the other Old Gods would spread across the world, becoming known as the Black Empire. Massive sacrifices and living buildings filled with void energy were some of the distinguishing features of this shadowy domain. One day, however, the Titans arrived with the intention of purging Earth of the Old Gods' corruption and saving its growing world-soul. As the titans' bodies were too massive for them to take action directly without risking permanent harm to the planet, they instead crafted the mighty titan-forged to do battle in their stead. One of the titans decided to take action, reached down the Earth's skies and ripped Y'Shaarj from the surface of the world, tearing the Old God apart. To the titans' horror, a great wound was left in Y'Shaarj's wake, and the world-soul's arcane lifeblood erupted from the scar. The Pantheon realized that the Old Gods had burrowed far deeper into the surface than anticipated, and they could not risk excising the remaining three Old Ones. The Pantheon ordered their titan-forged servants to imprison the remaining Old Gods and contain their evil below the earth, rather than outright killing them. After difficult battles, the titan-forged succeeded in imprisoning N'Zoth, C'Thun and Yogg-Saron where they lay. Personality: Manipulative, Cunning, Malevolent, Egotistical, Eldritch Wisdom, Patient, Sadistic, Mysterious.
