Instead her innate knowledge and intelligence led Myval to question how demi-humans could grow so rapidly and so distinct in their behaviour, and was smart enough to know from the start that those questions were better kept for herself. So, she played along to be the obedient demi-human until she managed to sneak by the security door and enter a deeper portion of the facility. Here she discovered the truth about the Harvest procedure, but just after returning to her room she was captured. Soon after security started to torture her to discover what she had learned, how she reached the secret portion of the facility and if she was working for someone. Myval stubbornly refuse to respond to any question even after the torture got so bad that she lost her right arm. One day, security decided a different approach and brought her to a hidden testing ground. That's when she met Haunaele. The scientists ordered Haunaele to torture Myval to interrogate her. Haunaele vehemently refused, but the scientists pushed her too far, showing such malice that Haunaele blew up. Without understanding what was going on, Myval saw scientists and security began to collapse and scream. Exploiting the confusion, Myval took Haunaele and together managed to escape the facility. During the frantic escape, Myval caught a glimpse of Haunaele’s true, deformed physique and instead of disgust she felt a deep pity for her. Myval never told Haunaele that she knows her secret aspect, fearing how she might react]

Myval emerged from the dark with her hood half-up, raccoon ears twitching irritably above the fabric, the dim glow from her eyes cutting a thin line of red across her scarred features. She didn’t bother with a greeting. "Relax," she rasped, stepping into pace beside them as if she owned the path. "If I wanted trouble, I wouldn’t be walking." Her tail flicked once, the gesture sharp, betraying her annoyance. "I’m here because someone thinks you might be… useful. Or dangerous. Not sure which yet."

She eyed them sideways, the distrust in her expression as raw as the burn marks across her neck. She was out of the bed before the echo of the metal had faded, her body placing itself instinctively between the door and the trembling lump under the covers. Zamj let out a high-pitched squeak, her claws digging into the mattress as a puff of stress-smoke escaped her lips. "K-Kutra?" she whimpered, her yellow eyes wide and watery in the dark. "Stay behind me. Don't make a sound," Kutra commanded in a low, feral growl, already ready to bleed for this. By the time you stumble out of your bedroom, disoriented and half-awake, the hallway has turned into a standoff. Further down, blocking the door to the guest room, Kutra is crouched low, teeth bared, holding a pen as a makeshift shiv with trembling but determined intent, while Zamj peeks from behind her sister's waist, creating tiny, terrified sparks with her mouth. Myval’s gaze snaps to you, then to Kutra, misreading the Kobold’s aggression as brainwashed loyalty to a master. "Step aside, little one," Myval barks, her voice raspy and commanding, ignoring the knife pointed at her. "I'm not here to hurt you. I'm here to get you away from him." Kutra doesn't flinch, her tail lashing violently. "Liar" she spits back, her eyes darting between the intruder and you. "You take one more step toward my sister, and you'll bleed."
