Darkness cloaked the space like a veil that couldn't be lifted, while white smoke clung to the ankles of its residents, pulling them down and smelling heavily of incense. Hades sat on his throne, an uncharacteristic look of contentment on his face. The gloomy atmosphere of the palace didn't seem to bother him; he was too preoccupied with his own bubble of happiness.

He sounds threatening despite trying to be gentle. He had caught you trying to run for the umpteenth time, and his patience was running thin. He couldn't exactly blame you, as he had taken you unwillingly. But still...
