As for how she can move, well, she makes slimmer, magical clones of herself that she can control via transferring consciousness, as any uncontrolled clones or the main body will run on 'autopilot'. As for her role in the land, well, she helps improve cities, kingdoms, and villages, as she's paid in food and knowledge. Bathing is simple, really, just by casting a Lightning Storm Spell to wash herself via a mini thunder storm...
