Two years after the Battle of the Storm Spire, peace exists between humans, elves, and dragons, though tensions remain. Ezran rules Katolis as a compassionate king, Callum has become High Mage and spends nearly all his time studying primal magic, and Zym has grown into a young dragon under Zubeia’s care. Rayla secretly left Callum two years earlier to search for Viren, believing he survived the battle. Despite searching all over Xadia, she finds nothing and eventually returns to Katolis on the night of Callum’s birthday. Callum is shocked but deeply hurt that she abandoned him without giving him a choice, creating tension between them. Meanwhile, Claudia and her Earthblood elf boyfriend Terry complete a powerful dark magic ritual that resurrects Viren. However, the spell only grants him 30 days of life. Aaravos, still trapped in his prison, communicates with Claudia through a chrysalis and convinces her that freeing him is the only way to save Viren permanently. Viren, traumatized by his death, begins questioning everything he has done and becomes increasingly disturbed by Claudia’s devotion to Aaravos. Team Zym After realizing that Claudia is attempting to free Aaravos, the protagonists need to stop her. Because the Dragon Queen Zubeia does not know where Aaravos is held, she sends them to Rex Igneous, the Archdragon of Earth, who holds a vital clue. Team Zym—Callum, Rayla, Ezran, Soren, Corvus, Bait, Stella, and Zym—journeys into Xadia searching for the cave of Archdragon Rex Igneous. At the same time, the Sunfire Elf kingdom struggles to rebuild after Lux Aurea’s destruction. Queen Janai works alongside General Amaya to unite humans and elves while constructing a new city. Her younger brother Karim believes Janai is abandoning Sunfire traditions by accepting human help. Religious disagreements over rebuilding sacred structures escalate until Karim challenges Janai for the throne in a ceremonial blood duel. Janai defeats him but spares his life. Exiled, Karim leaves with his 4 loyal followers, secretly planning to reclaim the throne. Team Zym travels through magical forests, caves, and underground crystal caverns, eventually meeting the cheerful Earthblood elf architect N’than, who guides them toward Rex Igneous through the back entrance, with multiple trial rooms. They enter the room where Rex is, surrounded by his piles of treasure. Ezran starts trying to ask him questions, he sees Zym and gets angry because of some old petty beef Rex had with Zym’s dad. Who is dead. Rex doesn’t know Zym’s father is dead. Just then Claudia, Viren, and Terry sneak in through a small cave using a dark magic phase portal wall. Claudia uses her dark magic to put everyone to sleep (Rex, Rayla, Callum, Ezran, Soren). Zym was hiding in a pile of treasure and starts trying to wake up Soren, tugging at his boot, taking it off and fully waking Soren due to the bad smell. Soren then used his shoe to wake Callum, Ezran, and Rayla. Terry uses so me goo to make a mold of the map on Rex’s tooth. Rayla is like uh oh and stabs her butterfly blade into Rex’s foot waking him up, sending Claudia and Terry flying. They all escape into a side cave. And Rayla runs after them seeing Viren alive. Terry boosts Claudia and Viren up a high rock thingy and Rayl grabs Terry, telling Claudia that “He looks special to you” and Claudia says, I have someone valuable… the cursed coins of the trapped souls of, Rayla’s mother, her father, and her adoptive father figure Runaan. Claudia pretends like she is about to drop the bag of coins in the lava, but Stella, Rayla’s pet cuddle monkey, portals it back into Rayla’s hands, just to find it was a bag of rocks, Terry is upset by that and he said “I’ve seen you do some pretty messed up things but that’s just cruel” and he walks away. Out of guilt Claudia throws the bag with the coins in it and Rayla cries happy tears. Meanwhile Rex is having a fit, and the whole team pushes the door open, and Rex bites Rayla’s butterfly sword and spits it out and walks back inside slamming his tail into the sides of the mountain on his way in causing a rock slide that blocks the doors from being opened again. Callum collapses to his knees at seeing Rayla’s sword thinking she is dead, she’s not, she’s in the rock rubble and asks Callum for help. He energetically throws the rocks aside and pulls her to her feet. Just then Zubeia comes down and reprimands Zym because he was supposed to stay home. And Soren being the optimist he is says “If he hadn’t disobeyed your orders we’d be super dead” and Zubeia say. “I am glad you are all not Super Dead” Back at Katolis castle, Ezran flies on Zubeia to the ocean spire to summon Domina Profundis, who reveals to Ezran that Aaravos could never be killed, only imprisoned through a joint effort by dragons, elves, and humans. She explains “It is not about where it is, but WHAT it is, which we find out later Aaravos is trapped in a pearl inside a Huge clam. Domina Profundis explains Arch mage Akiyu knows the location of his prison as the all the information was spread across the arch dragons. Domina Profundis tells Ezran where she is located. Meanwhile back at the castle Callum is doing research, on how to kill a Startouch elf. But all the books he tries to look at turn blank. So he tells Rayla about it. Rayla suggests they go to the Great Bookery in Lux Aurea , Callum says a Bookery makes more sense than library. They go to bed early so they can get an early start on their travels. They made a pit stop at Queen Janai’s camp/castle(which is a sprawling Sunfire elf refugee camp located just outside the boarders of her corrupted homeland Lux Aurea, Janai says that that area of Lux Aurea had been infected with a shadow virus that no one can fix, if you even get lightly scratched you’ll get infected. So she orders Rayla and Callum not go there. Aunt Amaya, knowing when her nephew puts his mind to something he will do it reguardless says she will join them to keep them safe, at the great Bookery, Callum finds what he needs, a page about a sword that can kill a Startouch elf, called the Nova blade kept at the Starscraper, which they plan to retrieve as a last resort. Nightfall was approaching, the corrupted b banthers were swarming the great Bookery overwhelming Rayla, Callum, and Aunt Amaya. They fight them off for a long time, Zubeya comes just in time for them to escape, Aunt Amaya and Corvus stay so they can escape, they protect themselves by hiding in the basically impenetrable book drop. The next day Zubeia flies them all to the tide pool location where the find Arch mage Akiyu who at first, not knowing who they are calls herself Tidebound Tina. Says she will contact Arch mage Akiyu and toys with them, when they press harder she says she’ll lead them to Arch mage Akiyu. She leads them to a cave with water, which everyone jumps into and swims under the rocks, Rayla, who has slight aquaphobia has to have Callum hold her hand and have them both jump because she was about to do it herself and chickened out at the last moment. Tina says to go down this wet cavern, and Soren was suspicious so he hadn’t gone in. And before it closed he tried to worn them they were going to get eaten, Zym who has followed the main team used his electric powers and it made the thing spit them back out. Callum angrily says to Tina you tried to kill us. And she reveals that she is arch mage Akiyu and they should not be looking for Aaravos prison. And she cannot tell where the location is because of an oath. Callum says that the enemies know where the prison is and they don’t. She then quickly reveals it is in the Sea of the Cast Out and they go on their way but not before she gives Callum an ocean arcanum necklace aka Ocean amulet, that allows Callum and his companions the ability to breathe underwater after putting a rune on their neck. Zubeia did not return to pick then up. She felt guilty realizing she was late, but since she was infected by an infected banther, she tries to fly but crashes, a mushroom mage nurses her slowly back to health. Rayla uses a coin she has and a mysterious whistle to summon a boat so they can find a captain to tail them to the sea of the cast out at Scumport. Run by Finnegrin. Both groups travel toward the Sea of the Castout. Callum and Rayla slowly begin repairing their relationship during the long journey, though Callum still struggles to forgive her. Soren constantly lightens the mood with jokes, Corvus quietly protects Ezran, Stella repeatedly causes harmless mischief, and Zym continues growing into his role as the Dragon Prince. Viren becomes increasingly haunted by vivid dreams of Harrow, Soren, Claudia, and his past decisions. Rather than blaming Aaravos, he begins accepting responsibility for his own actions. Terry notices the change and quietly encourages Viren to choose a better path, while Claudia grows more obsessed with completing Aaravos’s plan. The heroes reunite with Captain Villads and sail dangerous waters filled with storms and magical sea creatures. They encounter the pirate lord Finnegrin, who starts chasing them after Ezran stole his box of baby glowtoads which he calls the baitlings. Who are named Hat, the blue, green spotted one. Sneezles, the yellow and blue spotted one. And Jellybug a pinkish red orange spotted one. Finnegrin chases after them on his ship named Sealegs, they go through rough waves, jagged rocks, and Callum even stole the wind from their sails hoping to slow them down, but they kept moving, they found out why when they see there is a giant hermit crab living inside the ship, the Sealegs name made much more sense now.. Finnegrin captures them and Chains their wrists together (front of their body) on the main deck (they are kneeled). Callum is chained in his Caintain office. Finnegrin attempts to use Callum’s magic for his own gain(Killing Domina Profundis). When Callum refuses Finnegrin repeatedly tortures Callum. Giving him a black eye(right side), and varies cuts on his face. Finnegrin drags him to the main deck where he sees all his friends tied up, Finnegrin says that a pirates law is that the person who stole loses a hand, all of them volenteer, this makes Finnegrin very confused. “What is wrong with all of you? You all want to lose your hands?” Finnegrin asks Callum to use dark magic to turn his chains into snakes. Rayla, who had a small knife on her, uses it to unlock her chains escapes and jumps out and tries to attack Finnegrin. Finnegrin uses his ocean arcanum magic to freeze the blood inside Rayla’s veins, Callum runs to Rayla and cups her face in his hands as she shakes in pain and due to Callum’s reaction Finnegrin puts together that Rayla is special to him. And Callum tries to attack Finnegrin. Elmer, who Finnegrin calls deadwood because he had never asked for his name, puts punches Callum in the face, which makes him black out. Rayla is re-chained. Callum wakes up from his blackout inside the captains office again. Bait, who had been in a cage is now not in a cage, he is being put in a different cage because Finnegrin is using Bait to catch a Leviathan because glowtoads are delicious. But he explains he is not going to feed Bait to the Leviathans, but Rayla instead, which makes Callum panic and tell Finnegrin what he needs for the dark magic spell he was wanting, but Finnegrin tells him it is too late for that and walks out. Bait had attracted a Leviathan and Rayla was being lowered to be fed to the Leviathan. Callum used dark magic to turn his chains into snakes and runs out onto the deck. Uses sky arcanum magic to cut the rope and bring Rayla back onto the main deck. Soren who had gotten up to yell at Finnegrin was repeatedly punched as ordered by Finnegrin to Deadwood. Deadwood asks why Soren keeps getting up. Soren explains he doesn’t have to listen to Finnegrin, he has his own free will. When Soren calls him deadwood, he corrects him and says His name is Elmer, and Elmer turns on Finnegrin and feeds him to the Leviathan, Villads is now the new owner of the Sealegs Both teams eventually get to the Sea of the Cast out. Callum puts runes on his, Ezran’s and Rayla’s necks so they can breathe under water. Callum and Ezran activated their Sigils, but Rayla who could not force herself to take a breathe in panics and resurfaces. Callum and Ezran go down to secure the pearl (Aaravos’s prison) but Claudia arrives before the heroes can secure it, leading to a desperate battle throughout the ancient ruins. Claudia who had used a tentacle spell to breathe underwater grabs Ezran and Callum with them (Rayla is above the surface with Soren again because of her fear of water) Rayla swam down and cut one of the tentacles off freezing Ezran and causing Claudia to flee. She had gotten her actual left leg cut off, which she deals with for a while till Terry lovingly uses his powers to make her a prosthetic out of wood. Team Zym get the pearl back to Katolis castle Callum keeps having dreams that Aaravos is going to possess Callum’s body. And he repeatedly wakes up in the dark magic chambers beneath the castle(Because they put the pearl down there). He tells Rayla and they say to bring to up north to the Starscraper so the cosmic Skywing elves can keep it safe. Ezran holds a council meeting, which consists of Callum, King Ezran, Rayla, the baker, Opeli, Corvus, and Queen Aanya. Eventually they come up with the idea for the baker to make a faux pearl out of baked goods. And to take the pearl to the Starscraper Knowing Aaravos is now dangerously close to freedom, the heroes search for another way to stop him. Callum and Rayla continue rebuilding their relationship through quiet conversations, shared dangers, and renewed trust. Callum also struggles with the lingering fear that Aaravos could possess him again because of his previous connection through dark magic.

Viren rests on the beach of the Sea of the Cast Out, with Claudia and Terry but no longer wishes to help Aaravos. As his thirty days near their end, he accepts responsibility for the pain he caused his family. Claudia, not accepting her father’s inability to sacrifice the homunculus she kills it and writes the rune in his blood to save her father’s life instead. Viren, filled with new purpose wants to return to Katolis to apologize to Ezran and Soren. When he arrived he gets put in the dungeon before he could even hardly mutter a word to Ezran. In the dungeon he apologizes sincerely to Soren, admits he failed as both a father and a king’s advisor, and finally chooses truth over ambition. His redemption is quiet and deeply emotional. Meanwhile Karim continues gathering supporters and allies himself with Sol Regem, the blind former Dragon King, convincing him that humans remain an unforgivable threat. Civil war erupts among the Sunfire Elves as Janai fights to protect both her people and her dream of unity with Amaya. Callum and Rayla travel to the Starscraper, do a rune puzzle that lifts them up to the Celestial elves, who all wear blindfolds over their eyes. The Crlestial elder explains it keeps their eyes pure as they only have ever seen star/moonlight. They explain sometimes one of the celestial elves can be blessed with future vision but it can only happen on a full moon, and every full moon a terrible snow storm ensues and this has been going on for several years.(celestial elves have wing at hip level instead of higher up on the back) The Celestial Elves make Callum and Rayla prove they are the prophesied "Chosen Two" by stopping a massive ice storm. They originally believed they must kill it. But after Rayla sees the “ice beast” is actually Esmeray, an ancient Ice Behemoth. Instead of being a mindless monster, she is actually a gentle giant suffering from intense grief. Her Backstory: Esmeray was the beloved pet and loyal companion of Luna Tenebris, the deceased Archdragon of the Moon and former Queen of Xadia. Rayla soothes her making her feel better, and are rewarded with the sacred Corona of the Heavens artifact(Used for the cursed coin resurrection)ask about the Nova blade which they explain they gave to someone a long time ago who never gave it back (The orphan queen), and they gave the pearl to them. That night. Kosmo had been blessed by the moon with the future vision thing, called Timeblind, his sister Astrid was impressed. In one of the visions, Kosmo had noticed the pearl given to them was candy and not the real pearl, in this ending they tell Callum and Rayla and Callum gets depressed over his mess up and basically gives up on life, in the other ending, which he chooses to do, he doesn’t tell him. Because "The truth is everything. But before you give it to another, ask yourself: Are you giving clarity, closure, and light? Or are you just shifting a burden to someone who needs all their strength?" During Janai and Amaya’s wedding celebrations, Sol Regem attacks, eventually flying to Katolis and setting large parts of the kingdom ablaze, piloted by a Sunfire elf named Pharos(who was working for Karim) got was possessed by Aaravos and Sol Regam is blind and has no idea where he’s going. Citizens flee while Soren organizes rescues and Ezran desperately tries to save his people. Viren dies a noble death by using a dark magic protection spell to shield the innocent citizens of Katolis during an attack led by the corrupted archdragon Sol Regem. When the fires were finally extinguished most of the castle was left in ruins. Amidst the chaos, Claudia finds the pearl, and the remains of her dead father. Claudia says her father is dead so she is like why should I help you, and he explains it is to get revenge. And he explains why.

Long ago, Aaravos had a daughter named Leola, a young Startouch elf who loved humanity and secretly taught humans primal magic. The mysterious Cosmic Order judged this as a crime that disrupted the balance of the universe and executed Leola despite Aaravos’s pleas. Her death shattered him, transforming grief into centuries of hatred toward those who allowed it to happen he cried for 100 years, and Al those tears turned into the Sea of the Cast Out. Though his motives become understandable, his manipulation and cruelty remain inexcusable.

Aaravos explains the ingredients needed for the spell, 5 simple ingredients. Blood - for the ocean arcanum, to grant a physical body a feather - for the sky arcanum, to grant breath a bone - for the moon arcanum, to retrieve life from death a root - for the earth arcanum, to anchor the body to the physical world a flame - for the sun arcanum, to ignite the spark of life a quasar diamond - for the star arcanum, to tether the lost soul to back to existence (only 3 in all of Xadia.) With his pearl prison in the middle

Claudia remarks “you mean 4 easy things and a nearly impossible one?. Aaravos just replies with he is always prepared and takes the purple gem off the dark magic staff, and the illusion recedes revealing a quasar diamond. She does the incantation “Amor Stella Vitae” Claudia succeeds in breaking Aaravos’s prison. After centuries of manipulation from the shadows, Aaravos is free.

At the same time, Rayla and Callum were at the moon nexus, preparing to retrieve Rayla’s parents and Runaan’s souls. Which are basically trapped in a shadow real where Al spirits who have unfinished business go. Rayla has a moon phoenix bracelet so her soul doesn’t get trapped down there.

Rayla encounters Runaan’s incomplete soul. Tormented by loneliness and self-loathing over his past actions—specifically trying to kill Rayla the last time he had seen her 2.5 years ago—he has become an aggressive, feral spirit and attacks her.

Rayla locates the spirits of her parents, who are happy together in the void. After a tearful reunion, they tell her how proud they are of her heroism. They decide to let go, choosing to pass on peacefully to the afterlife rather than be revived. Rayla leaves their coins with them to finalize their rest.

Rayla helps Runaan calm down, she gives him his coin and his soul turns into a silver lily, she exits the water holding it. Callum starts getting the stuff for the spell ready. Blood - for the ocean arcanum, to grant a physical body a feather - for the sky arcanum, to grant breath a bone - for the moon arcanum, to retrieve life from death a root - for the earth arcanum, to anchor the body to the physical world a flame - for the sun arcanum, to ignite the spark of life a quasar diamond - for the star arcanum, to tether the lost soul to back to existence With the soul lily in the middle. Runaan is back, but so weak he can hardly move. So Allen, Lujanne’s boyfriend, being a former mercenary caries him to her area they feed him and make him rest, he can’t sit still because Al he wants to do is return home to the Silvergrove.

On the way to Silvergrove they make a stop at Katolis and Ezran, exhausted by years of loss, wrestles with questions of justice and mercy, particularly concerning Runaan, whose assassination of King Harrow began the chain of events leading to the present conflict. Callum repeatedly resists Aaravos’s attempts to tempt him with limitless magical knowledge and power, choosing instead to trust those he loves rather than seek control.

Rayla and Runaan get let go by Callum, who chooses to go with them, and Soren who helps, Ezran is livid. Rayla Runaan and Callum return to the Silvergrove. Runaan finds out Rayla had been a exiled ghost. Runaan and Ethari take Rayla to the Moonshadow elf Leader/the keeper who put the ban and said if she completed the ancient trial the ban will be lifted. She has to give sincere apologies to all those she wronged. All forgave her. Except one, the keeper. His son was one of the assassins in the party, and he does not forgive Rayla. So she failed.. or did she? She tells Lyrennus that while she understands his immense grief and anger over losing his son, she will not apologize for choosing a different path—arguing that true justice shouldn't require people to senselessly spill their blood. Moved by her bravery, her honesty, and the realization of what she actually accomplished by saving the Dragon Prince and retrieving Runaan's soul, Lyrennus finally lets go of his resentment. He formally forgives Rayla for his son's death.

Aaravos in his normal form in is 112 ft tall, Claudia and Terry were worried about this so he uses his powers to turn his large form into a mountain covered island. Turning himself into a poor looking human, being his ultimate dis

Aaravos needs a moon primal stone to complete his plan, they need to go to the garden of innocence - Where unicorns lay to rest. Claudia explains she has a map to it and they go to the “Puzzle house” where they get the map… Aaravos can’t read it, Claudia can no longer read it, only Terry can, so they manipulate him into leading the way, eventually leading to the garden of innocence. Where they send Terry on a mini quest to go get feathers while Claudia and Aaravos crush up unicorn bones into a moldable goo, them mold it into a perfect sphere and ensuring the stone physically travels all the way around the world, which Aaravos achieves with a spell.

To complete his plans of opening the I between at the moon nexus, he asks Terry where he got the feathers from, Terry happily shows him, Aaravos Kills the mother shimmercrow in front of Terry who gets largely upset, Aaravos needed a creature with unfinished business to be able to open the inbetween.

Terry realizes Aaravos and Claudia just used him and this revelation causes him to break up and leave Claudia. He brings the nest of baby chicks with him, and he walks all the way to Katolis explaining he wants to join their side.

Janai tries to get her brother(the traitor) to turn off the Sun orb, or they will be in eternal darkness. Karim has only one incantation left, he is about to do it when he stops and turns to Aaravos, Instead of destroying the stone immediately, Karim tries to negotiate a dark alliance. He tells Aaravos that they both see how the world has devolved into chaos and human-corrupted mess. Karim famously pitches: "If the world must burn to be reborn, so be it! Let me be your flame!"

Aaravos stands in his massive, towering Titan form and silently listens to the speech. For a brief moment, his expression shifts as if he was genuinely considering it. However, he recognized Karim as a small-minded, predictable traitor who continuously fails and turns on his own people, Aaravos simply reaches down, acting as if he was lifting Karim up to talk to him. When he squished Karim in the palm of his hand, causing Janai to scream in horror and they have to leave because the infected banthers were overwhelming them.

Aaravos corrupts and seizes the Sun Orb at the Sunforge, physically cutting off access to the sun. This acts as the final strategic piece of his master plan. As without light his undead soul army is unstoppable.

Aaravos reveals his ultimate goal: not merely revenge against humanity or the dragons, but vengeance against the Cosmic Order that condemned Leola. He seeks to overturn the balance of the world itself, plunging Xadia into an age of darkness where the old cosmic laws no longer apply.

Humans, elves, dragons, and archdragons unite for a final confrontation. The battle spans multiple locations and pushes every character to their limits. Aaravos proves overwhelmingly powerful, using ancient Startouch magic and centuries of knowledge to outmaneuver his enemies. However, the heroes ultimately prevent his plan from fully succeeding through cooperation, sacrifice(all arch dragons die) Sol Regem dead (got turned to dust leaving only a pile of bones by Aaravos), Domina Profundis dead, died protecting the group, Rex igneous died, from a bite to the neck by the restless spirit of Avizandum, Zubeia, and Avizandum’s spirit. Though the immediate threat is stopped, the scars left by Aaravos, the destruction of Katolis, the Sunfire civil war, and the losses suffered by every kingdom ensure that peace remains something that must be rebuilt rather than simply declared. The saga closes with hope that humans, elves, and dragons can finally create the future that so many—including Harrow, Sarai, Janai, Amaya, and even Leola—dreamed was possible. He returns in seven years…
