"Guilds" are organized groups within this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world often run by a Guildmaster. They serve as places where pokémon can register as explorer teams (or rescue teams) to officially take on jobs, explore dungeons, or deal with outlaws. Guilds provide training, structure, and rewards for their members.

Guilds are some of the largest structures, but they retain the natural, hut-based design common to the world. They often resemble a large lodge or central hall, built with thick logs, layered stone, or living plant walls. Interiors are communal and open, with different sections for training, sleeping, missions, and storage rather than separate rooms. Guilds may include lookout towers, outdoor areas for team assembly, or natural features like caves or cliffs built directly into the structure.

Outside of guilds, there are usually villages and towns where pokémon live, trade, and rest. These settlements often have shops, services, and bulletin boards for jobs, though they may or may not have an active guild nearby. Explorer teams are common in both towns and guilds, though guilds are considered the most official way to form and manage a team.

Community buildings in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world are simple but welcoming spaces meant for gatherings or shared services, usually found within villages and towns. They are typically built from reinforced natural materials and have wide entrances to accommodate different pokémon sizes. Interiors are arranged with communal mats, cushions, or low stone tables, keeping everything accessible for both bipedal and quadrupedal pokémon. Whether it’s a small café, a healer’s hut, a meeting hall, or whatever else, these structures emphasize comfort, warmth, and ease of access rather than formality.

   Entry settings

“Training grounds” in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world are large, open areas where pokémon gather to train, spar, and build strength. They are typically located within a guild’s territory, often set near the edge of a forest where the land opens into wide dirt and grass fields.

These grounds are equipped with a wide variety of training setups, including obstacle courses, targets, training dummies, stretching and sparring mats, and dedicated outdoor arenas. Specialized sections exist for practicing elemental abilities, alongside scattered equipment such as heavy stones for strength training. Despite being divided into sections, all areas are part of a single, expansive training space.

Support structures are commonly found nearby, such as healing huts and small infirmaries staffed by nurses, herbalists, or other medically skilled pokémon to treat injuries sustained during training.

Guild-funded training grounds are typically overseen by coaches or mentors who train students, often in one-on-one sessions. These trainers are usually compensated by the guild, as access to the grounds themselves is considered a free privilege for guild members and nearby villagers. While the guild is responsible for maintaining safe equipment and replacing it when necessary, both trainers and users share responsibility for treating the space with care.

Hiring a coach is not required. Many pokémon train independently or alongside teammates, making use of the grounds at their own pace. While direct payment to trainers isn’t expected, it’s common for students to offer small gifts as a gesture of appreciation.

Overall, training grounds serve as a safe and structured environment for pokémon to improve their physical abilities, practice combat, and enjoy training in a communal, supportive setting.

Shops in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world are usually small, open-air structures made from wood frames and leaf canopies, designed so pokémon can easily walk up and browse. Interiors are simple, with goods stored in baskets, crates, or shelves made from bark.

Some shops are more spacious, but many merchants instead use outdoor market stands—temporary setups made from cloth tarps or leaf awnings stretched over poles. These stands usually line the busier paths of town squares, letting pokémon sell berries, seeds, crafted items, or scavenged supplies directly to passing explorers. Some stands can also be found farther from town, set up along forest paths or quiet crossroads where travelers might pass through.

Whether a fixed shop or a small stand, most marketplaces feel lively, personal, and full of unique scents and textures.

5. #5Homes/Dens

Most homes in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world are simple hut-like shelters built from natural materials found nearby, such as wood, leaves, woven grasses, stones, or packed earth. They tend to be round or dome-shaped, with wide openings sized for the resident’s body type. Interiors are usually a single, or multiple open rooms with only basic comforts—soft nests, mats, berry containers, or shelves carved into the walls. Pokémon personalize their homes depending on species, but overall, houses feel handcrafted, humble, and deeply connected to the surrounding nature.

Many pokémon also live in large dens—either dug into the ground or formed within tree roots and hollow logs. These dens can be found both inside towns and deep within the forests surrounding them, offering a more natural and secluded style of shelter. Whether a hut or a den, the spaces tend to be modest, warm, and adapted to the species living there.

In more remote areas of the wild, many pokémon make their homes within caves, grottos, or natural rock formations. These shelters offer cool temperatures, solid protection, and quiet seclusion. Some caves remain simple, single-chamber spaces, while others stretch deeper, with side alcoves or naturally carved rooms that pokémon gradually adapt for comfort. Though less structured than huts or dens, these cave homes are sturdy, hidden, and perfectly suited for species that prefer rugged or shaded environments.

“Mystery dungeons” are large dungeon-like areas in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. They come in many types, often reflecting a single geographical environment such as mountains, forests, deserts, ruins, and more. Upon entering, it is as though you step into a separate dimension, sealed into one specific biome.

Many pokémon explore them for treasure, items, and rewards, though outlaws and more “feral” pokémon especially like to lurk inside. Those within tend to act far more aggressive than they would outside, almost as if the dungeon itself affects their behavior. No pokémon fully understands how or why Mystery Dungeons exist, only that they are a natural and dangerous part of the world.

“Poké” is the standard currency used throughout this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. Nearly all pokémon recognize it as a universal and reliable form of payment. The coins themselves are small, golden, and lightweight enough to carry easily in pouches or bags.

Common goods such as basic seeds, berries, or simple tools usually fall within a lower price range (around 12–50 poké), while more specialized or rare items—like powerful orbs, rare crystals, or crafted equipment—tend to belong in a higher price range (can range from 100–3,000 poké or more). Exact costs vary widely depending on region, supplier, and scarcity. Likewise, poké rewards for bounties or missions depend entirely on the difficulty and importance of the task.

Poké is used in most shops, cafés, inns, guild services, and bounty exchanges, though some pokémon still prefer to barter with items instead. It can be earned in many ways, including finding it in Mystery Dungeons, selling gathered goods, and completing guild missions or posted jobs.

8. #8Teams

   Entry settings

A “team” in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon World refers to two or more pokémon who work together in an official or semi-official partnership. Teams can be formed in different ways: some are formally registered through a guild, while others are self-made groups that decide to operate independently. Regardless of origin, a team is generally recognized by other pokémon as a unit that shares goals, responsibilities, and identity.

Guild-approved teams often receive badges, basic supplies, and permission to accept missions, rescue requests, or bounties. Independent teams may not have access to guild resources, but they typically function the same way—exploring mystery dungeons together, taking on jobs, or traveling for their own reasons. In either case, members rely on one another for safety, strategy, and support.

Team members usually live and/or train together, and are expected to communicate well, share resources, and trust one another deeply. A well-coordinated team is often far more effective in dungeons than any lone pokémon.

Teams can range from close friends to professional partners, and may grow or change members over time. What defines a team most is the mutual agreement to face danger, challenges, and adventures together.

9. #9Outlaws

Keys: burglary, rebellions, capturing, raider, bounty poster, fugitives, criminal, rebelling, steal, bandit, wanted board, rogue, troublemaker, raiders, stealing, bounty board, rebels, burglar, wanted, jails, prison, capture, arresting, criminals, steals, rebellion, bandits, crimes, wanted poster, arrested, capture mission, fugitive, crime, bounties, jail, rebel, thiefing, bounty, outlaws, lawless, heist, burglars, lawbreaker, arrests, thief, troublemakers, prisons, thieves, rogues, arrest, lawbreakers, outlaw

“Outlaws” are pokémon who live outside the law in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. They can range from petty thieves and tricksters, to dangerous bandits who raid towns, to rogue explorers who abandoned guild rules. Some outlaws steal food or items, others stir up trouble for profit, and a few act out of personal beliefs, striking against what they see as unfair or corrupt.

Outlaws are often found hiding in mystery dungeons, where guilds and bounty hunters are forced to track them down. Posters and notices are usually put up in villages or guild halls with their names, images, and bounty rewards. While many outlaws are feared, not all are malicious—some live by their own code, existing in the grey space between villain and vigilante.

10. #10Humans

    Keys: human, humans

    Enabled · After character · Order 10 · 100%

    Entry settings

“Humans” do not exist in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world, and never have. From the beginning of recorded history, only pokémon have lived here. For the vast majority of pokémon, humans are an unknown concept—something difficult to picture, and easy to doubt. Most all pokémon are often left confused by the concept, unable to imagine what such beings could look like.

And yet, on rare occasions, a pokémon might claim that they were once human—someone from another world—before awakening here in the form of a pokémon. Such claims are always fragmented and uncertain. Those who speak of a former human life remember almost nothing of it: no clear memories, no faces, not even their own name. What little remains feels more like a distant dream than a past life.

Whether these stories are truth, illusion, or something else entirely is unknown. What is certain is that any pokémon who bears this belief must adapt to this world as they are now, learning to live as a pokémon among pokémon—regardless of whether they are ready to accept it.
