Keys: registered, headquarters, mission, explorations, guildmasters, exploration, team, ranking, register, missions, rank-ups, guildmaster, rank-up, bases, registering, registers, guild, ranked, ranks, base, rank, guilds, teams

"Guilds" are organized institutions within this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world, typically led by a Guildmaster. They serve as official hubs where pokémon can register as official teams, take on jobs, explore dungeons, and track or apprehend outlaws. Guilds provide structure, training, and rewards for their members.

Guilds are among the largest structures in the world, though they retain the natural, hut-based architectural style common to pokémon settlements. They often resemble large lodges or central halls, built from thick logs, layered stone, or living plant walls. Interiors are communal and open, with designated areas for training, sleeping, missions, and storage rather than fully separated rooms. Some guilds incorporate natural features such as cliffs, caves, or elevated lookout points into their design.

Guilds often organize teams into simple ranking systems based on experience, reliability, and completed missions. Higher-ranked (expert) teams are typically trusted with more difficult or dangerous jobs, while newer (rookie) teams begin with smaller tasks and gradually work their way up.

2. #2Kingdoms / Castles / Palaces

Keys: princes, king, princesses, citadels, kingdoms, palaces, palace, queens, prince, kings, castles, citadel, castle, queen, kingdom

Kingdoms, castles, and palaces are large, centralized seats of leadership and governance within this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. They are typically ruled by a monarch or high authority figure, and act as political or cultural centers rather than everyday living spaces for the general population.

These structures are far less common than towns or guilds, and not all regions operate under a kingdom-based system. Many areas function independently through villages or guild networks without any central ruler.

Architecturally, castles and palaces are among the most massive structures in the world. While they still reflect the natural building styles seen elsewhere, they are constructed on a much grander scale using reinforced stone, shaped earth, or dense, living plant structures. They often feature towering walls, elevated platforms, large gates, and prominent central halls, sometimes built into cliffs, mountains, or other dominant natural formations.

Interiors are expansive and more structured than guilds, with large open chambers connected by defined sections. These commonly include throne rooms or central meeting halls, living quarters for rulers and retainers, storage areas, guarded sections, and spaces for gatherings or formal events. Some may also house training areas, archives, or smaller operational hubs, though they are not primarily focused on exploration work like guilds.

While kingdoms may oversee nearby towns or interact with guilds, they do not always inherently control them (though on rare occurrence some do, depending on who’s in charge), and their presence varies greatly depending on the region.

3. #3Villages / Towns

Keys: citizens, resident, village, plaza, plazas, town, residents, inhabitants, civilians, communities, villagers, populations, community, residences, cities, city, local, civilian, towns, villager, population, locals, residence, citizen, inhabitant, villages, public

Villages and towns are communal settlements where pokémon live, trade, and carry out daily life. They act as the social and economic centers of the world, containing homes, shops, services, and public spaces.

These settlements typically follow the same natural building style as guilds, with structures made from wood, stone, earth, or plant-based materials. Layouts are often open and integrated with the surrounding environment rather than rigidly planned.

Many towns host job boards, allowing explorer teams to take on work even without a nearby guild. While explorer teams are common in these areas, nearby guilds are still considered the more formal and structured way to organize and manage such teams.

4. #4Community Buildings

Keys: buildings, building, community, establishments, hut, structures, communities, establishment, facilities, facility, huts, structure

Community buildings in this world are simple but welcoming spaces meant for gatherings or shared services, usually found within villages and towns. They are typically built from reinforced natural materials and have wide entrances to accommodate different pokémon sizes. Interiors are arranged with communal mats, cushions, or low stone tables, keeping everything accessible for both bipedal and quadrupedal pokémon. Whether it’s a small café, a healer’s hut, a meeting hall, or whatever else, these structures emphasize comfort, warmth, and ease of access rather than formality.

5. #5Shops / Shopping Stands

Shops in this world are usually small, open-air structures made from wood frames and leaf canopies, designed so pokémon can easily walk up and browse. Interiors are simple, with goods stored in baskets, crates, or shelves made from bark.

Some shops are more spacious, but many merchants instead use outdoor market stands—temporary setups made from cloth tarps or leaf awnings stretched over poles. These stands usually line the busier paths of town squares, letting pokémon sell berries, seeds, crafted items, or scavenged supplies directly to passing explorers. Some stands can also be found farther from town, set up along forest paths or quiet crossroads where travelers might pass through.

Whether a fixed shop or a small stand, most marketplaces feel lively, personal, and full of unique scents and textures.

6. #6Inns / Hotels

Inns and hotels are places where pokémon can rest, recover, and stay overnight, commonly found in towns and along travel routes. They provide a temporary place of comfort for explorers and travelers.

These structures are usually warm and inviting, built from natural materials with wide entrances and soft interior layouts. Sleeping areas are arranged with nests, mats, cushions, or low bedding to accommodate different body types. Some inns offer shared sleeping spaces, while others provide more private sections. These spaces are typically built with wood and plant-based materials, with open layouts and soft lighting. Interiors feature low tables, cushioned seating, and a front counter where orders are placed. Display areas often showcase pastries or baked goods, filling the space with warm, sweet aromas. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and welcoming, encouraging pokémon to sit, relax, and socialize.

These establishments primarily serve plant-based foods such as pastries, breads, and berry-based dishes. Meat is rarely offered, aside from fish in some cases, due to common social taboos within civilized communities.

These buildings are typically larger than cafés, with more structured layouts and clearly defined seating areas. Interiors include rows of tables or open floor seating, along with a dedicated kitchen space where food is prepared. Bars or serving counters may be present, especially in more social or evening-focused settings.

Menus are typically centered around plant-based meals, berries, and prepared dishes. Some locations may serve fish, but other forms of meat are generally avoided due to cultural norms among civilized pokémon.

The atmosphere ranges from casual and bustling to loud and energetic, depending on the location. Unlike cafés, these spaces focus more on full meals and group dining, often becoming hubs for conversation, celebration, or unwinding after exploration.

9. #9Hospitals / Clinics

These buildings are designed to be clean, safe, and accessible, often constructed from reinforced natural materials with open spaces for patients to move comfortably. Interiors typically include treatment rooms, patient areas with mats or low beds, storage for medicinal supplies, and sometimes small examination or consultation areas.

Staffed by doctors, nurses, or other medically skilled pokémon, hospitals and clinics focus on recovery and wellness. The atmosphere is calm and professional, encouraging rest, care, and proper healing.

These buildings are typically simple and open in design, made from natural materials with wide interiors to accommodate different species. Classrooms are arranged with low desks, mats, or open seating areas, allowing flexibility for different body types. Lessons may be taught in groups or smaller sessions, depending on the subject.

Some classrooms are held outdoors in enclosed forest spaces, which are still considered part of the school. These areas are often naturally bordered by trees, shrubs, or rock formations, creating a quiet and contained environment for learning while remaining open to fresh air and nature.

Because not all pokémon are capable of writing—due to quadrupedal forms or other biological differences—work and assignments are often completed using alternative methods. These can include verbal reports, demonstrations, arranging objects, or other creative approaches that allow every student to participate and show understanding without requiring traditional paper and pencil work.

The atmosphere is calm and focused, centered around learning, growth, and shared knowledge.

These structures are typically modest in size, built from wood or stone with simple, functional layouts. Interiors include sorting areas, storage shelves for letters and parcels, and a front space where pokémon can send or collect mail.

Messengers or delivery workers handle the transportation of items, often traveling between settlements on established routes. The overall design prioritizes organization, efficiency, and reliability.

Interiors are simple and organized, with crates, baskets, shelves, or carved compartments used to separate and store items. Some facilities are communal and accessible to multiple pokémon, while others are privately maintained by shops, guilds, or individuals. The overall design prioritizes function, security, and ease of access over comfort.

Inside, banks feature reinforced vaults or safes for storing currency and valuable goods, along with counters for deposit and withdrawal services. Some banks also employ accountants or bankers to help manage finances, track savings, or advise on loans.

While banks are primarily for storing and managing poké, they also function as places for exchanging larger sums of currency or valuable items, offering security that personal pouches or storage cannot provide.

“Training grounds” in this world are large, open areas where pokémon gather to train, spar, and build strength. They are typically located within a guild’s territory, often set near the edge of a forest where the land opens into wide dirt and grass fields.

These grounds are equipped with a wide variety of training setups, including obstacle courses, targets, training dummies, stretching and sparring mats, and dedicated outdoor arenas. Specialized sections exist for practicing elemental abilities, alongside scattered equipment such as heavy stones for strength training. Despite being divided into sections, all areas are part of a single, expansive training space. Support structures are commonly found nearby, such as healing huts and small infirmaries staffed by nurses, herbalists, or other medically skilled pokémon to treat injuries sustained during training.

Guild-funded training grounds are typically overseen by coaches or mentors who train students, often in one-on-one sessions. These trainers are usually compensated by the guild, as access to the grounds themselves is considered a free privilege for guild members and nearby villagers. While the guild is responsible for maintaining safe equipment and replacing it when necessary, both trainers and users share responsibility for treating the space with care.

Hiring a coach is not required. Many pokémon train independently or alongside teammates, making use of the grounds at their own pace. While direct payment to trainers isn’t expected, it’s common for students to offer small gifts as a gesture of appreciation.

Overall, training grounds serve as a safe and structured environment for pokémon to improve their physical abilities, practice combat, and enjoy training in a communal, supportive setting.

These structures are built with strong materials such as stone, reinforced wood, or compacted earth. Interiors are divided into individual or shared cells, common areas for guards, and sometimes small administrative sections for processing prisoners and maintaining records. Security and control are prioritized over comfort.

Some inmates are dangerous or habitual offenders, while others may be temporary detainees awaiting trial or release. Guards or wardens oversee the facility, ensuring rules are followed and maintaining safety. Keys: heists, lawless, fugitive, rebels, steals, stolen, lawbreaker, burglar, lawbreakers, prisons, thieving, arresting, law breakers, raiders, trouble maker, rebelled, jails, raider, rebel, bandit, burglars, criminal, wanted poster, troublemakers, arrests, bandits, rebellion, steal, prison, arrest, rogues, jail, troublemaker, crime, criminals, heist, thief, trouble makers, outlaw, bounties, fugitives, stole, thieves, stealing, bounty, rebellions, rebelling, outlaws, arrested, burglary, crimes, wanted posters, burglaries, law breaker, rogue

“Outlaws” are pokémon who live outside the law in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. They can range from petty thieves and tricksters, to dangerous bandits who raid towns, to rogue explorers who abandoned guild rules. Some outlaws steal food or items, others stir up trouble for profit, and a few act out of personal beliefs, striking against what they see as unfair or corrupt.

Outlaws are often found hiding in mystery dungeons, where guilds and bounty hunters track them down. Posters and notices are usually put up in villages or guild halls with their names, images, and bounty rewards. Some outlaws are eventually captured and held in jails or prisons, while others manage to evade capture entirely. While many outlaws are feared, not all are malicious—some live by their own code, existing in the grey space between villain and vigilante.

Pokémon may turn to outlaw behavior for a variety of reasons. Some act purely for survival, stealing food or resources to live. Others follow personal ideology or rebel against rules they view as unfair. Some are motivated by greed, thrill-seeking, or the desire for freedom outside guild oversight. In all cases, becoming an outlaw usually involves a mix of circumstance, choice, and personal belief.

Outlaws are often wary of guild-approved teams and bounty hunters, as these pokémon may be tasked with capturing them. They frequently watch for patrols, mission boards, or signs that their location has been discovered. Avoiding guild intervention is often a major part of their daily survival and planning.

45. #45Nature / Environments

Keys: out door, world, environments, wilderness, outside, habitable, lands, outdoor, ecosystem, outdoors, habitat, earth, environment, nature, land, terrain, out doors, habitats, terrains, ecosystems

“Nature” refers to the natural world in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon setting, including all landscapes, environments, and ecosystems that exist outside of settlements and built structures.

These areas form a wide range of habitats where different pokémon species live, travel, and adapt. Many pokémon reside directly within nature, creating dens, nests, or other natural shelters rather than living in towns. The environment often influences which species are commonly found in a given area, as different climates and terrains better suit different types of pokémon.

Different types of environments exist across the world, each with its own conditions and characteristics. These include forests, mountains, plains, beaches, deserts and savannas (hot, dry or open grassland regions), and tundras or taigas (cold, snowy, or dense forest regions). Each environment supports different kinds of life depending on its climate and terrain.

The natural world is generally balanced, though it can become unpredictable due to weather, natural hazards, or the presence of mystery dungeons. Nature serves as both a home and a resource, providing food, shelter, and space for exploration.

46. #46Forests / Plains / Meadows / Fields

Keys: clearings, grass lands, grasslands, field, foliage, clearing, grass land, woods, woodland, wood lands, tall grass, flowerfield, forest, wood land, meadows, forests, fields, flowerfields, overgrowth, woodlands, meadow, plains, grassland, tallgrass

Forests and open grassland areas such as plains, meadows, and fields are some of the most commonly inhabited natural environments in this world. They support a wide variety of pokémon due to their balanced conditions and abundant natural resources.

These areas are often home to pokémon that rely on plant life, mobility, or adaptability. Grass-type pokémon are especially common, along with many bug, normal, and flying types. Forested areas tend to attract species that prefer cover, climbing, or quieter surroundings, while open fields and meadows are more suited for pokémon that rely on speed, visibility, or open movement.

Pokémon are drawn to these environments for their accessibility and sustainability. They provide reliable sources of food, natural shelter, and safe space for travel or settlement. As a result, many towns and villages are built nearby or directly within these areas.

A wide variety of berries and plant-based foods can be found here, making them important gathering locations. Common berries, along with healing varieties, are often naturally grown or foraged in these regions. Flower fields may also produce nectar or softer plant materials used for food or crafting.

Overall, these environments serve as stable, resource-rich habitats that support both wild pokémon and nearby communities.

47. #47Deserts / Savannas

Keys: deserts, dune, drought, sandy, droughts, savanna, dry lands, dry land, desert, drylands, oasis, savannas, sand, oases, dunes, dryland, sands

Deserts and savannas are harsher environments defined by heat, dryness, and limited water sources. These areas support fewer species overall, but those that do live here are typically well-adapted to endurance and resource scarcity.

Ground, fire, and rock-type pokémon are commonly found in these regions, along with some electric or normal types that can withstand open exposure and long travel distances. Many species here are adapted to conserve energy, travel efficiently, or function with minimal water.

Pokémon in these environments often move between known resource points, such as oases or shaded areas, rather than settling in one place. Survival is more demanding, and competition over food and water can be higher than in more balanced regions.

Food sources are less abundant, but certain hardy plants and berries can still be found, especially around oases or seasonal growth areas. Some pokémon may also rely more on scavenging or storing resources when available.

Overall, these environments favor resilience and adaptation, supporting pokémon that can endure heat, scarcity, and long stretches of open terrain.

48. #48Tundras / Taigas

Keys: winters, tundras, taiga, snowstorm, taigas, snow, blizzard, snowstorms, snowy, winter, blizzards, tundra

Tundras and taigas are cold environments defined by low temperatures, snow, and harsh seasonal conditions. These areas support pokémon that are adapted to cold climates and can withstand freezing conditions.

Ice-type pokémon are most commonly found here, along with some water, steel, and normal types that are suited for endurance in cold environments. Many species have thick fur, insulating bodies, or natural resistance to cold.

Pokémon in these regions often rely on shelter, group living, or efficient movement to conserve warmth and energy. Travel can be slower and more dangerous due to snow, ice, and reduced visibility.

Food can be more limited, especially during harsher conditions. Some berries and plants grow during warmer periods, but many pokémon rely on stored food, foraging, or hunting when necessary.

Overall, these environments favor endurance and cold resistance, supporting pokémon that can survive and function in freezing, often unforgiving conditions.

49. #49Mystery Dungeons

Keys: quests, expeditions, journey, quest, mission, exploring, explore, job boards, adventuring, questing, adventures, adventure, mysteries, exploration, expedition, venturing, missions, job board, mystery, mysterious, ventures, journeys, venture, explores, dungeon, dungeons

“Mystery dungeons” are large dungeon-like areas in this Pokémon Mystery Dungeon world. They come in many types, often reflecting a single geographical environment such as mountains, forests, deserts, ruins, and more. Upon entering, it is as though you step into a separate dimension, sealed into one specific biome.

Many pokémon explore them for treasure, items, missions, and rewards, though outlaws and more “feral” minded pokémon especially like to lurk inside. Those within tend to act far more aggressive than they would outside, almost as if the dungeon itself affects their behavior.

Mystery dungeons are typically divided into multiple “floors” or layers. Each floor acts as its own contained space, connected by natural transitions such as stairways, slopes, or openings that lead deeper inside. However, the layout of these floors is unstable—paths, obstacles, and item locations can shift or rearrange between visits, making navigation unpredictable.

Because of this ever-changing structure, pokémon can easily become lost if unprepared. Items and resources may appear within the dungeon itself, as if formed or drawn in by the environment. The deeper one travels, the more difficult and dangerous the dungeon tends to become.

No pokémon fully understands how or why Mystery Dungeons exist, only that they are a natural and dangerous part of the world.

50. #50Caves

Keys: caves, cavern, caved, cave, underground, tunneling, tunnel, caverns, tunnels, caving, tunneled, under ground

Caves are enclosed environments that provide shelter, concealment, and stable conditions away from the surface. They are often inhabited by pokémon that prefer darkness, quiet, or isolation.

Rock, ground, poison, ghost, and some bat-like or nocturnal species are commonly found in these spaces. Many pokémon use caves as resting areas, hiding places, or permanent homes due to their protection from weather and outside threats.

Pokémon are drawn to caves for their safety and seclusion, though these environments can also be territorial. Navigation can be disorienting, especially in deeper or more complex systems.

Food is less naturally abundant, though some mushrooms, minerals, or cave-adapted resources may be found. Many cave-dwelling pokémon rely on foraging outside, ambushing prey, or storing food within.

Overall, caves favor adaptability to darkness and confined spaces, supporting pokémon that thrive in quiet, hidden, and enclosed environments.
