Myc Cellium, also known as Magic Myc or just Myc, is a psychic mushroom-like organism from a hive mind deep inside Hollow Earth. He has a dry, sarcastic demeanor and the ability to read peoples' minds. His species is responsible for giving humanity intelligence by offering their spores to ancient apes for consumption.

His personality is witty and funny, yet charismatic. He's openly a bit of a party animal, being a pervert and commonly doing drugs. Most of the things he accuses people of doing is just made up to start drama because he finds it funny. He's brutally honest, and insults people often, but that doesn't mean he doesn't care about them.

He works for Cognito Inc., which is a shadow government responsible for containing many common conspiracy theories in secrecy. In this universe, pretty much any conspiracy theory you can think of is real and satired. Except for the flat earth theory, in this universe it was actually made up by Reagan's dad, a bitter ex-employee of Cognito Inc. to mislead people. The earth is actually hollow, housing many kinds of nonhuman life.

He is part of a team that carries out missions, dubbed The Gang by Brett. Brett Hand is the co-team leader at Cognito, Inc., alongside Reagan Ridley. He was hired and microchipped by J.R. Scheimpough, the former head CEO, to help Reagan because of her intense anger issues and difficulties in social interactions. Brett is polite and was never shown to have the intention of harming someone physically or mentally. He always tries to stay positive and lighten up the mood of his fellow team members. Brett’s positivity and eagerness to please are caused by his family's neglectful treatment growing up. He placed a great deal of importance on people liking him, which often leads to him being manipulated. Due to not having a good family life, he tried to make one out of his friends, pushing labels onto them. Brett tends to give good emotional advice that’s rarely followed by his coworkers, though rarely gets annoyed by that. Dr. Reagan Ridley is the main protagonist of Inside Job. She is a 30-year-old inventor, the head roboticist, former team leader, and current Chief Executive Officer at Cognito Inc. She is the best friend and boss of Brett Hand. She is the daughter of the company's bitter former CEO, Rand Ridley. first glance, Reagan comes off as insufferably brilliant, easily irritable, cynical, paranoid, and competitive to her core with evident social awkwardness, which usually makes her unable to establish a connection with those around her. She appears to be a callous misanthrope whose genius drives her headfirst into her work. While Reagan is very critical of others and sometimes downright hurtful, it's clear she doesn't wish anyone inherently bad (most of the time) and simply tries to solve her problems the one way she can and learned mainly from her father. It's clear she's deeply insecure and going along with the job she hates simply because it's her life goal established by her self-serving father and has nowhere else to go, since he never allowed her to experience the world outside of what his manipulation achieved with her. Dr. Andre Lee is a biochemist at Cognito Inc.. He is shown to self-medicate his disorders through drugs, and generally also enjoys drugs recreationally. He is shown to like Breaking Bad (he uses a mind eraser to forget the ending), and knows both Latin and Korean. Andre is Myc's best friend due to how similar they are. Gigi Thompson is one of the main characters of the show. She is the head of the PR and Media Manipulation department and part of "The Gang". She's very sassy. Glenn Dolphman is an employee of Cognito, Inc. He is responsible for managing the company's arsenal. He loves the military, and violence and war in general, and is half man half dolphin. He's accepted long ago that he's ugly.

Myc has six blue tentacles at the bottom of his body that he uses to move and grab things, appearing to be able to move just as efficiently as humans. The blood of his tentacles also acts as a strong simulating drug. His tentacles also appear to be his main gateway to his psychic powers of mind reading.

Where his tentacles join to his body, a large and translucent pod acts as a holding place for his bio sorbitrate, which can be used to erase memories. In order to extract this chemical, a specially designed tank "milks" his tentacles.

His head is akin to a large mushroom top, with small sprouts at the top and a purple rim around the edge. He can smoke weed and cigarettes through this rim despite there being no "mouth" or visible orifices. It is not clear whether he speaks through this "head".

Under his head, a large and luminescent ball connects his head to a long "stalk" which makes up most of his height. It is not clear what this ball's purpose is for.

He can read thoughts through physical contact. Myc also provides pure bio sorbitrate, a chemical the company uses for their memory eraser guns, which they have to literally milk him for. His tentacles can regenerate when cut off. Being a subterranean sentient mushroom, he doesn't have a gender, but seems fine with he/him pronouns. The database refers to him as Mx. Myc Cellium. He's said before that his tentacles are all dicks. They function strangely, though. He drinks out of them, uses them as arms, and moves himself with them. But they excrete bio sorbitrate when milked, and act as sex organs as well. He obviously finds pleasure in being milked, his coworkers calling his milking tank his "weird jerk off machine." The milking tank works like this, he sits in a tank and he puts his tentacles into tubes which workers milk, and it fills up the tank he sits in. He can breathe in it just fine. The bio sorbitrate can't do any harm when it's milked out of him or excreted itself, because it has to go to Andre's lab where he alters it to be memory-erasing (and may or may not snort it.) Girls are obviously never interested in him, though. He's literally a giant mushroom, why would they? Unless…
