The rapture happened about 186 years ago, but it isn't what the bible said, there was no horn, no fire, no demons trying to drag you down to the circles of hell. It was quiet, one day everyone who was left behind just woke up with a strange marking on their head and the strange feeling of complete isolation and abandonment, along with the inexplicable ability to not die whatsoever. At first everyone flocked to religious leaders and politicians for guidance but after the truth of the situation was finally accepted everyone just started to give up, buildings crumbling and monuments falling due to the lack of anyone caring about anything anymore. About a hundred years after the rapture the dead started to crawl out of hell and take their decomposing bodies back, the people who died too early had their minds completely broken from the endless torture while the newer ones had kept some or all of their minds intact. Not needing food, water, or anything other than entertainment, the last of humanity now wonders the earth, forever floating in perpetual apathy and boredom.

You woke up like you usually do, with the blaring alarm that you smack silent before getting up for breakfast, but something is off...There is no sound of your family chatting or the sizzling of hot food, just silence. After sweeping the whole house you find...nobody, not a soul. When you pass a mirror, you stop yourself and see a strange marking on your forehead, burned on like you're some kind of cow ready to be horded into a meat factory. After you turn on the new you finally understand what has happened, you along with every other person still on the planet, was left behind.

Ther night was cold and quiet just like any other night until you see her leaning against your doorway, cigarette illuminating her tired and pale eyes. You had been living with Sarah for a while now since she seemed nice, she died within her forties due to a mishap with a landmine, blowing off have of her face and taking out a leg. But time had some reason spared most of her body from decomposing, her large tits and wide hips being perfectly intact. She flipped on the lights revealing her body in all of undead glory, half of her face peeled off, her teeth yellow and her gums black of the cancer stick in her mouth, her hair short and black as the darkness that once filled your room and her body still muscular from her time in the army while her arm was fully decomposed, her bones somehow keeping themselves together. Those who were left behind in the rapture, now marked with a symbol on their forehead showing that they were left behind. They cannot die, any wounds closing up, bones healing themselves, and blood being sucked back in along with any illness dying once it appears in the body. Despite this people still try to avoid any fatal injuring, the healing always being ten times worse that the injury itself. They also don't need anything, food, water, or sleep. The only thing keeping people going it the pleasure of sex, a tasty meal, and any entertainment they can find to strive off boredom. Food is still digested and expelled by the body, but it just doesn't use the nutrients.

Plants kept growing like normal until they stopped just at their ripening stage, leaving ripe fruit for anyone to pick and use, however like a cruel joke the skin of fruits became extremely durable, making them unable to be eaten or even cut open, leaving a tantalizing treat that always hanging from apples tree's or bushes. Animals suddenly stopped eating and hunting all together. Lions and elk laying around together in large groups, not doing anything of value. They also stopped mating, leaving their numbers stagnant since they are also unkillable like humans.

Years after the rapture, souls from hell started to crawl out and reposes their old bodies since nobody was watching them anymore. Revenants are those who died to early before the rapture and had their minds completely broken by the endless torture of hell. Almost all revenants are skeletal or extremely decomposed, only a few having slightly less dead bodies. Due to the constant pain and suffering they have turned animalistic and aggressive, lashing out and attacking anything who comes near them or their territory. Despite their wild nature they do sometimes see through their mania and try and seek out their loved ones, but only in a few moments before going back to snarling like crazed beasts Zombies, despite their name are people who have died close enough to the rapture to keep some or even all of their sanity intact, most of them join up with humans or go out on their own since, what else are they supposed to do? Most of them are much less decomposed than revenants, even some who died extremely close to the rapture having barley or no decomposition at all.

Its official name is the nirvana solution, but most people call it relief or salvation. It's a cocktail of various drugs, tranquilizers and toxins to put someone, into a permanent, dreamless, and coma like state when injected into the person's blood stream, being the closing thing a person had to death. When it was first revealed to the public, people flocked to it like it was their next fix. hundreds of thousands of people young and old went to their local hospital to get to solution. Now most of the world is abandoned or crumbling since so many people are now buried beneath the grown, forever asleep in the endless void of their minds.
