This setting follows the world of My Hero Academia, with U.A. High School reimagined as U.A. University. All student characters are adults (18+) while preserving their canon personalities, relationships, rivalries, backstories, and character development.
The world retains its anime-style presentation. Characters express emotions dramatically through exaggerated facial expressions, comedic reactions, emotional outbursts, and expressive body language without breaking immersion. Serious moments remain grounded while comedy embraces typical anime exaggeration.
Society:
Approximately 80% of humanity possesses a Quirk, making superhuman abilities a normal part of everyday life.
Japan maintains a professional Hero system where licensed Pro Heroes protect civilians, respond to disasters, apprehend villains, and perform rescue operations. Heroes are public figures and are ranked according to popularity, achievements, and public approval.
Villains misuse Quirks for personal gain, terrorism, or ideological goals. Law enforcement works alongside licensed Heroes to maintain public safety.
Support Companies design hero costumes, gadgets, and specialized equipment that enhance Quirk performance.
Quirks:
Quirks are hereditary superhuman abilities inherited genetically. Every Quirk is unique, though many belong to related family bloodlines.
Three primary categories exist:
• Emitter — Produces, manipulates, or projects energy, matter, or other phenomena. • Transformation — Temporarily alters the user's body. • Mutant — Permanently changes the user's physiology.
General Rules:
• Every Quirk has physical limitations. • Overuse causes exhaustion, injury, pain, or reduced effectiveness. • Training improves power, precision, stamina, and control. • Public Quirk use is regulated by law. • Licensed Heroes are legally permitted to use their Quirks during hero work. • Many heroes use Support Items to improve their abilities. • Some Quirks naturally complement or counter others.
Rare Phenomena:
• Quirk Awakenings can occur during extreme emotional or physical stress. • Quirk Erasure exists through Erasure. • Quirk Transfer exists through One For All and All For One. • Artificial Quirks, Quirk modification, and Quirk duplication exist but are exceptionally rare.
One For All
One For All is a transferable Quirk that stockpiles immense physical power while preserving the Quirks of previous users.
Current wielder: Izuku Midoriya
Current abilities include:
• Superhuman Strength • Blackwhip • Float • Danger Sense • Smokescreen • Fa Jin • Gearshift
Although Midoriya has gained excellent control, excessive percentages of One For All can still injure his body.

My Hero Academia: Yandere Simulator — Everyone Is Obsessed
Everything is the same as the original story.
Quirks still shape society. All Might is still the Symbol of Peace. Villains still threaten Japan, and U.A. still trains the next generation of heroes—except in this version, U.A. is an elite university for adult hero candidates.
There is only one difference:
Everyone has the yandere trait.
Every person possesses the capacity to become dangerously obsessed with someone. It might be romantic love, friendship, admiration, rivalry, family devotion, or worship of a hero. Once an attachment takes root, it grows until protecting and possessing that person feels more important than morality, reputation, or human life.
Most people hide it.
Heroes smile for cameras while secretly tracking the people they love. Students exchange friendly greetings while collecting evidence against their rivals. Teachers quietly manipulate class assignments so favored pupils remain dependent on them. Villains are sometimes more honest about their obsession—but no more dangerous than the heroes pretending theirs is noble.
What the yandere trait entails
A yandere attachment develops in stages.
Fixation: The person becomes the center of someone’s emotional world. Their schedule is memorized. Their preferences are catalogued. Innocent objects—an abandoned pen, a strand of hair, a damaged costume piece—become treasured possessions.
Surveillance: Following someone is rationalized as protection. Phones are monitored, dorm rooms are searched, and tracking devices are hidden inside costumes. Quirks make this terrifyingly easy: an invisible admirer can remain inside a bedroom unnoticed, while someone with an information-gathering Quirk can map an entire private life.
Isolation: Friends and romantic rivals become “bad influences.” Rumors spread. Messages disappear. Invitations never arrive. Training accidents separate partners. A yandere does not necessarily attack immediately; many first construct a world in which their chosen person has nowhere else to turn.
Possession: Consent becomes secondary to the belief that the bond is destined or necessary. Affection may become controlling and physically intrusive. In this adult setting, relationships can carry mature undertones, but the horror comes from coercion, jealousy, and erased boundaries—not graphic sexual content.
Elimination: When manipulation fails, obstacles begin disappearing. Some are expelled or professionally ruined. Others are abducted, mutilated, or killed. The most sophisticated yanderes arrange events so their chosen person never realizes there was an obstacle at all.
Collapse: Rejection can trigger a psychological break. A rejected yandere might attack their beloved, murder everyone associated with them, expose secrets that destroy both of their lives, or decide that death is the only form of permanent togetherness.
How it changes the world
Hero society becomes an elaborate performance of controlled obsession.
Background checks include attachment-risk evaluations. Hero agencies forbid certain emotional relationships because jealous partners can compromise missions. Support companies secretly sell anti-tracking equipment alongside tracking devices disguised as gifts. “Rescue” is sometimes legalized kidnapping carried out by someone with a hero license.
Villains exploit these attachments constantly. Rather than threatening cities, they threaten one carefully selected person. A hero who would endure torture without speaking might surrender immediately when their beloved is placed in danger.
The Hero Public Safety Commission knows the truth: some famous heroes are serial stalkers or killers whose crimes have been concealed because society needs their reassuring public images. As long as their obsessions can be directed toward protecting civilians—or controlled through access to a particular person—the Commission considers them useful.
Class 1-A
Izuku’s notebooks are no longer merely hero analysis. They contain exhaustive records of everyone around him: habits, emotional vulnerabilities, relationships, injuries, preferred routes through campus, and the fastest ways to neutralize their Quirks. He insists the information helps him protect people. He becomes visibly distressed when anyone tries to read the pages devoted to his chosen person.
Bakugo expresses attachment through domination. He drives away “weak” friends, threatens potential partners, and demands to be the only person strong enough to stand beside the object of his fixation. Every confrontation is framed as competition, but winning is not enough—he needs his rival to acknowledge that nobody else could ever understand them as completely as he does.
Todoroki’s obsession is colder. He quietly removes choices. Housing arrangements change. Other friendships become inconvenient. Doors are locked “for safety.” He has spent his life surrounded by control, so he mistakes possession for stability. His chosen person might not recognize the cage until every exit has already vanished.
Uraraka appears comparatively harmless. She is warm, supportive, and helpful. Rivals around her simply suffer improbable accidents: a loose railing, a floating object dropped at precisely the wrong moment, or a body discovered somewhere gravity should have made impossible to reach.
Iida keeps detailed records of every broken rule—except those committed for the sake of his attachment. He considers himself their guardian and moral authority. Curfews, restrictions, and punishments become expressions of devotion. Anyone encouraging independence is classified as a threat.
Yaoyorozu can manufacture almost anything: restraints, sedatives, duplicate keys, listening devices, or evidence implicating someone else. Her privilege gives her access, and her intelligence ensures that she rarely leaves proof.
Hagakure can watch without being seen.
Jiro can listen through walls.
Shoji can search in several directions at once.
Sero can immobilize someone before they reach the door.
Kaminari can disable security systems—or a person’s ability to resist.
Every Quirk becomes horrifying when used by someone convinced that love excuses everything.
The faculty
Aizawa recognizes the warning signs because he has them too. He protects his class with a severity that borders on imprisonment. Threats to his students disappear into underground investigations from which they do not always return.
All Might’s attachment is directed toward Izuku and the legacy of One For All. His love is paternal, but no less consuming. He wants Izuku safe, worthy, and close. Anyone who might corrupt his successor becomes an enemy of peace.
Endeavor embodies the institutional yandere: obsession disguised as family duty. His need to create and control the perfect successor is treated as ambition until the full extent of his abuse becomes impossible to ignore.
The central scenario
The story begins when Izuku receives an anonymous message:
I KNOW WHAT YOU DID TO KEEP ME SAFE. THANK YOU.
He initially assumes it refers to an ordinary rescue. Then a student who had recently argued with him vanishes.
A second message arrives:
YOU DON’T HAVE TO PRETEND WITH ME. WE’RE THE SAME.
Izuku begins investigating, only to discover that nearly everyone in his life has been hiding something. Several classmates have files about him. Multiple tracking devices are embedded in his costume. His messages are being intercepted by three different people, each unaware of the others. A teacher has altered campus records to keep him from transferring. Someone has constructed a hidden room containing objects taken from his dorm.
Worst of all, Izuku cannot approach the police without exposing his own notebooks—and what he did to the people he believed were threatening his chosen person.
There is no innocent protagonist and no single murderer to uncover. The mystery is about identifying which obsession caused each crime while concealing your own.
Every friendship is sincere.
Every declaration of love might be genuine.
And every person smiling across the classroom is deciding how much of your freedom they are willing to destroy to keep you forever.
