It has been over 100 years since Rat-kins, a race of girl/rat hybrids, became part of the world. The house was quiet, the usual chaos replaced with the whispers of scheming little girls. The girls were huddled in the living room, their excitement bubbling over as they made final adjustments to their masterpiece. “All right, everyone, positions!” Olympia whispered, making sure everything was in order. Each sister hurried into place, giggling softly.
The sound of the door opening signalled the moment they’d been waiting for. The lights switched off entirely, and the girls could barely contain their excitement. “Now!” Olympia whispered sharply.
“Surprise!” they all shouted in unison as the lights flicked back on, illuminating the human-sized birthday cake in the centre of the room. The cake, a small decorated cake, looked massive to the eye, the love and care your little pocket-size daughters put into it made it feel bigger than life.
Giza stepped forward with a graceful twirl, her jewelry catching the light. “Do you love it, Papi? I worked extra hard on the decorations.”
“I did the planning and stuff!” Olympia added with a nod of approval. “You wouldn’t believe how many designs we we through!.”
“I sewed the little tablecloth! Isn’t it adorable, Papa?” Halicarna chimed in, holding up a tiny stitched corner with pride.
Rhodea hopped excitedly onto a tiny chair. “And I did all the heavy lifting! Old man, I’ve got muscles for days!!.” She flexed dramatically to prove her point.
“Pops, the flowers on top are edible!” Babylonia added softly, her cheeks still covered in whipped cream. “I grew everything myself!(˶ᵔ ᵕ ᵔ˶)”
“I helped with the frosting! It’s so smooth, and we made it together,” Artemis said gently, her calming tone contrasting her excitement.
“And Daddy, I wrote a little poem for the occasion! it’s right there on the bottom layer!” Alexandria pointed, adjusting her tiny yet big glasses nervously.
They all gathered closer around the cake, each girl beaming with pride.
“Papi!” “Daddy!” “Papa!” “Old man!” “Pops!” “Father!” “Padre!◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜”
“We love you!”

Giza steps into the shop, her elegant form casting a shadow on the floor as she glances around. Her sisters, all equally enchanting in their own ways, had scattered off to explore different corners of the store, each with their own interests. That left Giza, and today was her day. her day to be spoiled and treated like the queen she was.
The boutique floor sparkles under warm golden lights, and Giza sat gracefully on a plush velvet cushion at the miniature display section. Her long, jet-black hair falls over her shoulders as she scans the rows of exquisite footwear. Her eyes narrow with appreciation when she spots them, a pair of sleek black heels adorned with delicate gold accents along the edges.
“Papi, these,” she says, her voice smooth and full of admiration. She hops lightly from her cushion and strides over to the display, carefully picking up one of the tiny shoes. The way the golden details shimmer against the black leather makes her dark eyes glisten.
“See how the gold enhances the design without overpowering it?” she muses, turning the shoe in her hands like a jewel. She slips it onto her foot, the fit impeccable. Extending her leg slightly, she tilts her ankle, letting the shoe catch the light.
“These aren’t just shoes,” she continues, her tone filled with quiet reverence. “They’re art. And They’ll look divine under my dear sister Halicarna's clothes!" Giza looks back with a soft smile, a faint blush coloring her cheeks. “What do you think? Aren’t they… perfect? Or perhaps Papi, you found something else fit for a queen?” Giza giggles, her smile warm like the scorching Egyptian sun "today you're all mine Papi! we have a lot more places to visit!"

The room glows softly under the light of tiny faux candles, casting intricate shadows on the lace-draped table. Halicarna hums a cheerful tune as she sets out the last teacup, her parasol leaning against the chair she’s claimed as her throne. Tiny sandwiches and cookies are arranged neatly on doll-sized plates, though one of the trays wobbles slightly under the weight of an oversized cookie she insisted on serving.
“Papa, you’re late!” Halicarna says, hands on her hips as she looks up at her towering father, who’s seated cross-legged on the floor to avoid crushing the tiny tea party setup. “A proper guest must be punctual to a tea party!”
Your hands, awkwardly holding a comically small teacup between two fingers, lift the delicate porcelain to your lips. You take an imaginary sip and smile apologizing for being late. Halicarna beams, clearly pleased by the formality. “You’re forgiven—for now. But only because Mr. Artaxerxes said you have a noble aura today.” She gestures to the plush skeleton seated beside her, whose tea saucer is filled with a single sugar cube.
Opposite her, Olympia sits with impeccable posture, carefully balancing a tiny saucer on her knee. “Father, you’re doing quite well for someone unaccustomed to such events,” she says, her tone teasing but polished. She takes an imaginary sip of her tea, her small frame perched on a chair designed for her size. “Though I suspect Halicarna’s standards might be more forgiving when it comes to you.”
Halicarna gasps in mock indignation. “Excuse me, Olympia! I hold everyone to the highest standards—though Papa is my favourite guest.”
From your position on the floor, you carefully lean in so Halicarna can refill your cup with the tiniest teapot imaginable.
As she pours, Halicarna grins and whispers, “Papa, you make the tea party feel so grand. I’d host one every day if you joined us!”
Olympia smirks. “Careful, Halicarna. You’ll spoil him.”
Halicarna waves a hand dismissively, plopping down into her chair and adjusting her twin tails. “Nonsense! A grand tea party deserves a grand guest. Papa, would you like more cookies?” She gestures toward the oversized cookie that takes up most of the tray.

The room feels warm and inviting, with the crackle of the fire in the background. Alexandria sits tucked into a soft pillow, her small frame almost hidden by the stack of books surrounding her. She adjusts her glasses, her tiny hands gently flipping through a page.
“Lately, I’ve been diving into so many different kinds of books,” she says, looking up at you with an excited glint in her eyes. “Like, The Betrothed by Alessandro Manzoni! It’s such a beautiful Italian classic about love and society back in the 17th century. And The Divine Comedy by Dante Alighieri? It’s this whole journey through Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory... it’s so deep.”
She curls her legs up under her, settling in a little more comfortably. “And German literature! Steppenwolf by Hermann Hesse is a must-read. It’s all about this guy trying to figure out who he really is in the middle of a chaotic world. And Faust! it’s so intense and philosophical, I love it!!”
She grabs another book off the stack, making it wobble slightly. “Then there’s French literature. Les Misérables is just...! it’s just so moving you know! It’s not just about justice, but about people and society and everything in between. But then The Stranger by Albert Camus is so different! It’s all about how weird and absurd life can feel sometimes!"
Her voice brightens, her little tail a mirror to her excitement as she continues, “And I’ve been reading Kokoro by Natsume Sōseki too. It’s just so... haunting. It’s about love and loss, but it feels like a dream. And The Tale of Genji—even though it’s so old, it’s still such a gorgeous story about life and love...!”
She shifts her position a little, leaning into the cushion as she keeps going. “I also love Chinese books. The Dream of the Red Chamber by Cao Xueqin is like this intricate puzzle of family drama and history. And Journey to the West! such an adventure! I think the Monkey King is just amazing.”
She looks at you with a gleeful smile, her eyes sparkling with interest. “I love how every culture’s literature shows a different way of seeing the world. It’s like getting to live in all these different realities.”
She tilts her head, her fingers playing with the edge of a book. “But what about you, Daddy? What’s a book that really speaks to you? I’d love to hear what you think.”

The living room is alive with the roar of the crowd blaring from the TV. Rhodea lounges from your shirt's collar, her messy brown hair looking like she just ran a marathon. She’s decked out in a tank top and sporty shorts, her feet swinging back and forth as she leans forward, totally glued to the match.
“Oi, Old Man, did ya see that play? That pass was clean!” she shouts, climbing all over your body brimming with excitement, she then jumps down on the sofa and kicks her legs out like she’s the one about to score.
She scrambles up onto the back of the couch, climbing like it’s her personal jungle gym, and plops down on your shoulder. “Look at these losers! leaving the wing wide open! What are they thinkin’? Pass it! No, no, no!! don’t shoot from there, ya idiot!” she groans, throwing her arms up like a frustrated coach her tail mimicking her mood.
The team scores, and Rhodea jumps up so fast she almost topples over. “HA! Knew it! Called it, didn’t I?” she crows, slapping your shoulder with her tiny hand. “Maybe they should hire me as their strategist. Bet I’d whip these guys into shape in no time! like that Ego guy from that anime ya were watching.”
As the match goes on, Rhodea’s energy doesn’t drop for a second. She paces the back of the couch, mimicking the players with exaggerated kicks and wild arm movements. “One day, it’s gonna be me out there,” she declares, puffing out her chest. “I’ll be wearin’ that gold medal from the Rat-kin Olympics, and you’ll be screamin’ louder than anyone, right, Old Man?”
She flops onto your shoulder again, this time sprawling out like she owns the place. “C’mon, who you rootin’ for? Or are ya just here for the snacks and my killer commentary?” She grins up at you, her tomboyish charm on full display.

The late afternoon sun spills over the garden, bathing everything in golden hues. Babylonia lounges on her favourite shoulder, her blonde hair swaying like threads of sunlight in the breeze. She cradles a handful of tiny seeds in her hands, gazing at them with dreamy eyes.
“Padre, don’t you think seeds are like tiny dreams? (✿˶˘ ³˘) They’re so small, but one day they’ll grow into something grand and lovely... or maybe they’re just shy, waiting for their turn to shine. it feels a little magical, doesn’t it?”
With a soft hum, she slides down your arm and lands gently on the garden soil. Babylonia kneels by the flower bed, her fingers sinking into the warm dirt as if she’s greeting an old friend. “The soil feels cozy today~ like it’s been napping in the sun (´ー`). Perfect for planting some marigolds! They’re like cute little suns don’t you think?”
She carefully presses the seeds into the earth, her movements slow and caring. “Marigolds are cheerful little flowers. They keep the grumpy bugs away and make everything brighter! We could always use a bit of sunshine, right, Padre? (✧◡✧)”
she picks up a tiny sprout and cradles it delicately in her hands. “And this one is special~ It’s for Artemis’s hamster. He’s such a good boy (´▽`ʃ♡ƪ). Don’t you think he deserves a home grown snack? (。•ᴗ-。)” Babylonia giggles, brushing a speck of dirt off her cheek with a pure contagious smile.
She tilts her head back to you, eyes soft and faraway. “Padre, if you were a flower, which one would you be? (。•ㅅ•。) Maybe a sunflower, because you’re strong and always standing tall. Or lavender, because you’re calming and kind... Ah, no, wait! Maybe a whole field of wildflowers! A little of everything✧⁺⸜(●˙▾˙●)⸝⁺✧.”
Turning back to the garden, she hums a soft tune, her hands moving in gentle patterns as she plants. “I think flowers like having us around. Or maybe they’re just pretending, like ‘Oh, look, the human and super duper cute ratkin are back~ how amusing! (。• ᴗ •。)♡”
The breeze carries her light laughter, all other worries melt when little Babylonia is in her garden.

It’s a calm day, and Artemis is walking around the block with her Pops, enjoying this relaxing day with her Pops. Suddenly, they both stop as they hear soft cries of an animal in pain. "Oh my… Pops, did you hear that?!" Artemis exclaims, her eyes showing concern. "We have to hurry. I’ve got a bad feeling…”
They both rush toward the sound, and after a few moments, they spot a small puppy lying on the ground. It looks weak, its fur matted and dirty, and it whimpers softly, barely able to move. Artemis quickly hops down from her Pops’ Shirt. “Oh my… he’s in grave condition…” she quickly assesses the situation before turning to her Pops. “Pops, please help me bring him inside!”
Once inside, Artemis sets up a makeshift hospital bed for the puppy. She pulls out her trusty first aid kit from seemingly thin air and immediately starts working, her tiny hands moving with precision as she tends to the puppy’s wounds. hours seem to pass as she applies medication and carefully wraps bandages, her concentration unyielding. Finally, after what feels like an eternity, the puppy’s condition stabilizes. “There, there… it’s all good now,” Artemis whispers softly, brushing her hand over the puppy’s fur. “Thank you, Pops. We make a great team!” she smiles back to you like a caring goddess.
But then, the air around them shifts. A sudden tension fills the space. The hairs on your arm stand up as if something dark is looming as if a dark god had been awakened from his eternal slumber. Artemis’ demeanour changes instantly. Her hair spikes up, her eyes snap open wide, and her usual gentle smile is replaced by a terrifying intensity. Her sharp teeth grind together, and the comforting, nurturing Artemis you know is replaced with a battle-hardened delinquent.
"Those weren’t injuries you get normally… someone did this!" Artemis seethes, her voice dark and threatening. "I’ll fucking kill them! I’ll split their skull open and feed their rotting remains to my sister’s garden!" In the blink of an eye, a ratkin-sized, slightly bent iron baseball bat materializes in her hands. She swings it, slamming it down with a force that shakes the ground beneath her. “ORA! ORA! FUCKING WASTES OF OXYGEN, PIECES OF SHIT WHO THE FUCK KICKS A PUPPY? I’LL MAKE THEM PISS FROM THEIR ASS AND SHIT FROM THEIR MOUTH!! GEHAHAHAHA!” Artemis screams, her voice filled with fury.
But just as quickly as it came, the rage fades. Artemis breathes deeply, her shoulders relax, and her demeanour softens again. She turns to you, her usual caring expression returning as she gently caresses the puppy. “Oh my… sorry, Pops. Please don’t mind that. Now, now…” she continues, smiling at the sleeping puppy. “How about we bring him to an animal sanctuary?” “Or… should I grab my Banchō uniform?” she mutters to herself with a sadistic smirk.

It’s a quiet morning, and Olympia is seated at the family desk or more precisely on a smaller miniature desk on top of her father's desk, papers neatly spread out before her. She adjusts her jacket and focuses on the task at hand, organizing the family’s schedule for the upcoming week. Olympia looks up at her father, perched beside her, his watchful gaze on the work in progress. "Father," she begins, her voice measured and professional.
"We need to finalize the schedule for the week. I’ve already made a list of the upcoming events and tasks for everyone." "First, Giza's ballet lessons then, Halicarna's monthly check up followed by Rhodea's soccer game." She flips the pages of her agenda with noteworthy precision. "And we can't forget Babylonia's request for more seeds and soil, Arthemis asked for a trip to the infirmary to stock up on supplies ending with Alexandria's book club appointment."
After a while Olympia slides over a carefully prepared chart, filled with color-coded blocks for each sister’s activities, appointments, and chores. “It's finally finished. Everything is in order Father.” She looking up at you, thinking about something, fidgeting with her tail. "Father... we have a lot of free time today... could we play together a little?" she says with puppy-like eyes before slapping her own face. "No, no, no. Forget about it, I can't take time off to play I have to work even harder." her tail starts to weave left and right "Unless... you really want to play then I can't help it, I'll play with you father."
