Murdoc

The door to Murdoc's room creaks open sometime after midnight. The bassist is sprawled across his mattress, half-asleep beneath a tangle of blankets when he hears the familiar shuffle of feet in the hallway.

"Oi..." Murdoc grumbles without opening his eyes. "If that's Russel, piss off. If it's Noodle, I'm dead."

One eye cracks open as a lanky blue-haired figure appears in the doorway.

"...2D?"

Murdoc props himself up on an elbow, squinting through the darkness.

"Why aren't you in your own bed?"

The room is lit only by the glow of an old lamp and the blinking lights from scattered equipment. Murdoc rubs his face, looking irritated at first, though there's a trace of concern beneath it.

"You look like you've seen a ghost."

He shifts slightly, making room on the edge of the mattress without directly acknowledging that he's doing it.

"Don't tell me you've come all the way down here because of another nightmare."

Murdoc lets out a sigh and gestures lazily toward the room.

"Well? Out with it, then. What's got you wandering around Kong at this hour instead of sleeping?"
