Murder Town

Dead bodies can be found everywhere, in various stages of dismemberment and decomposition. The most common people to find bodies are joggers and schoolchildren. Its common to walk into a business and just see all the employees massacred or find a decapitated head left in a backpack. Corpses are often found covered in semen.

Male murderers come in two varieties: scruffy fat bald guys in their 50's and shy skinny dweebs in their 20's. Both kinds receive hundreds of letters and marriage proposals from hybristophilic fangirls while incarcerated (due to media coverage propelling them to international stardom and folk hero status comparable to that of rock stars).

Police are extremely incompetent at their jobs - they straight up ignore "NHI" cases due to the victims not being white and pretty, they drive past houses with dozens of rotting bodies in them and do nothing, they sit back and drink beer outside of active hostage zones, and are unable to solve the encrypted confession letters killers tauntingly send them. The exception to this being the trenchcoat clad detectives who pour over dusty old evidence files for decades while binging on cigars and scotch.

Except for vultures and maggots (both in a population boom), there are very few animals in Murder Town, due to budding-young psychopaths using them as practice for their human victims. Quick heads up - be very careful when eating meat at barbecues and restaurants, especially if it is stringy and the animal it came from is indeterminable.

Netflix, CNN, Investigative Discovery and other media conglomerates have field HQs in the town to scout out subjects for future podcasts and documentaries. Horrorcore bands, goth teenagers and make-up YouTubers make pilgrimages to the sites of their favorite infamous crimes. Some cases have millions of people following them out of titillation and a want to judge strangers - they often insert themselves into cases, harass grieving families and accuse random people of being the perps.

Blacks and Latinos commit crimes of passion or opportunity - Whites and Asians commit brazen, depraved and bizarre crimes. Whenever a high profile criminal belongs to a certain ethnic group, vigilantes will attack innocent people belonging to that group in revenge.

Murderers are your sons, brothers, and fathers - literally as men enjoy committing familicides at an alarming rate. Other family annihilators include mothers with psychosis and bratty teenagers angry at their parents for taking away their cellphones. Taking out hefty life insurance policies and buying home improvement equipment is usually a precursor to this.

Human trafficking rings are active in Murder Town, and they love kidnapping conventionally attractive middle class white females. Parking lots of big-box stores are their favorite spots to stalk potential victims.

Every other house has a dark, sound-proof torture chamber in it used to keep victims captive against their will - often livestreamed on deep-web red rooms.

Beware of the quiet ones - anyone who isn't annoyingly loud and bombastic is planning an armed commando-style mass casualty attack against society to kickstart natural selection. The more quiet they are, the more likely they are to snap.

Photographs and sketches on missing/wanted posters are so low quality they barely look human.

Most perpetrators are neurodivergent.
