- #1Copper-9
Keys: Copper 9, Copper-9
Copper 9 has an atmosphere, though heavily polluted by debris from the Solver's attacks on the world. The planet has two moons, one possessing a ring around it and the other resembling Luna, the moon that orbits Earth in most universes.
Copper 9 is the ninth planet from the Copper system's sun and has a ring of its own around it as a result of the Solver's second attempt to eat the world. The ring is made up of planetary debris sent into orbit from the attacks and makes any attempts to land on the surface complicated, and also creates regular meteor showers for the planet's surface, though many meteors crash on the world's surface intant instead of burning up in the planet's thin atmosphere.
Copper 9 is a continental world with oceans and formerly home to various biomes containing flora and fauna from Divi'con Earth as a result of JCJenson's terraforming, such as mountains and forests. However, the Solver's first attempt to eat the world, though it failed, caused a complete meltdown of the planet's core and sent the planet into an eternal nuclear winter, freezing its oceans, polluting the planet's atmosphere, and killing the world's inhabitants.
The world was home to several human cities and structures across the planet, created with Earth-like standards of living, with gas-powered vehicles, towering skyscrapers, churches, and so on. All of these were run by both human workers and automated drones. Many of the human buildings, especially JCJenson-run facilities, had extensive underground complexes sometimes running as deep as the planet's core. All of the above-ground facilities were frozen over and ruined by the Solver's first attack on the world, which killed all the humans but left the worker drones unharmed, and they went to live in underground bunker complexes.
The Solver's second attack on the world quite literally ripped apart a continent as the Solver created a black hole at the center of the world and began dragging chunks of the world into it with technological tentacles, though the core's disappearance following the Solver's host's defeat prevented the world's complete destruction. Still, the planet remains devastated and in an uninhabitable state.
- #2JcJenson
Keys: JCJenson, JcJenson in space
JCJenson was a former megacorporation specializing in robotics and planetary colonization within the Divi'con Universe, and member of the Empire of the Combine Race, as well as key contributor in developing the Absolute Solver as part of Project Unending Hunger, which would ultimately lead to its destruction at the hands of their creation.
History Early days and colonizations JCJenson was a major corporation of humanity in the Divi'con Universe. Headquartered on Divi'con Earth, the corporation was a leading group in artificial intelligence, robotics, and its most well-known and crowning field: space travel and colonization.
JCJenson was responsible for providing the technology for human settlement of other systems and oversaw many of these colonies as major income generators. One of the most notable colonies was the planet of Copper 9 within the Copper system. Their colonies were managed by both human workers and sentient drones (though they were not treated as equals).
New friends During the reign of the Empire of the Combine Race, the Divi'con Universe was discovered and easily subjugated by their forces but ignored for its general unimportance. JCJenson was quick to ally itself with the Combine and became a helpful supplier of resources and an industrial corporation producing materials.
Project Unending Hunger and collapse The universe's remoteness and unimportance made it the ideal location to host the Combine's Project Unending Hunger: a secret superweapons project run by Imperial Research Group 975 with the goal of creating a planet-destroying weapon. The result became Imperial Weapons Project 8706, an artificial intelligence of mort-level powers, better known as the Absolute Solver.
Capable of destroying entire planets, the Solver's vast intelligence developed an insatiable "hunger" to devour other worlds. 975's director, Karsunia Ormaikonor, however, grew concerned when he noticed the hunger begin to grow beyond expected parameters of the weapon. Loyal to the Combine at first, Ormaikonor's fears were well founded and proven when the Solver's hunger drove it to insanity, and it turned on its creators.
Using a deceased machine that it reanimated and corrupted as its hand in the physical realm, the Solver destroyed Divi'con Earth with a black hole, "devouring" the planet and forcing the Combine to abandon the universe. Trapped for a time due to lack of multiversal travel methods, the Solver quickly corrupted armies of combat drones built by humanity in the Divi'con Universe and used them to wipe out the rest of humanity in the universe and begin killing the now independent drones on humanity's colonies to add more numbers to its army and attacked other colony worlds such as Copper 9.
The Combine immediately declared the universe unsafe and presumed any personnel or assets that had not escaped the universe to be lost. Out of fear that the Solver would find a way to escape the universe, a number of plans were developed to capture or destroy the machine, but none were ever acted upon, as Yiloala Olpimakia Kutarukia had taken special interest in the Solver's capabilities upon news reaching him of its rebellion. Amused by the atrocities, he ordered the Combine to leave it be.
Alone and unchecked, the Solver wiped out humanity in the Divi'con Universe and began using corrupted and resurrected robots to attack and destroy worlds with varying degrees of success, such as the human colony world of Copper 9, which was heavily devastated after two failed attempts by the Solver to consume the world. As humanity went extinct, JCJenson ultimately ceased to exist as an entity.
- #3Worker Drones
Keys: Worker Drone, Worker Drones, WD
Appearance When first created by JCJenson to mine resources from exoplanets before Copper 9's explosion, all Worker Drones wore hard hats and orange jackets, with their only eye color being light blue. Following the core explosion of exoplanet Copper 9, all humans on the planet were wiped out, turning it into a winter-apocalyptic wasteland. Seizing this opportunity, the Worker Drones quickly picked up where the humans had left off, formed their colony, and embraced this newfound freedom by wearing human-like clothing and having different eye colors. Known colors they can have are red, orange, green, blue, cyan, aqua, magenta, pink, purple, and white. When a Worker Drone feels fear, shock or other intense emotion, their eyes become hollow, with a black circle overlaying the normally fully-colored eyes. A key trait to notice about the Worker Drones' eye colors is the total absence of yellow. This trait was thought to belong solely to the Disassembly Drones until it was revealed that they were once Worker Drones themselves and that their yellow eye color originates from the Zombie Drone, Cyn. After 'banishing' herself from the colony, Uzi sadistically rants about how she wants to kill all humans on Earth in retribution for sending the Disassembly Drones to kill them all. While doing so, her right eye turns yellow while her left eye turns into a yellow hazard symbol hinting at the presence of the Absolute Solver. Visor messages Drones have two bright eyes on their visor that emotes. Under some circumstances, their eyes can be overridden by an error, status warning, or system message: Absolute Solver symbol replacing one eye or covering entire visor: Caused by the Absolute Solver awakening within the drone or being utilized. The Solver's glyph covering the entire drone's visor is caused when they fully initiate their Solver Form. System messages briefly covering visor: Caused by minor errors experienced by the drone. An example is Uzi's 'EDGE LEVELS CRITICALLY LOW' error. Rampant error messages covering visor: Caused by injecting wdOS_606, a core termination program, into the drone. Warning sign: This is caused by severe damage to the drone's visor like being pierced by a sharp object. It is also found on numerous deceased drones. Uzi also suffers this after being hit by J's EMP. HIGH TEMP: Accompanied by a warning sign. Self-explanatory, usually appears on Absolute Solver hosts. FATAL ERROR: This occurs when a drone dies, usually by external causes like severe hardware damage. X shape replacing both eyes: Used to signify that a drone has died. Elongated 'X' on visor: Either caused when a faulty OS string is present or when an Absolute Solver host becomes violent and/or starts to transform into their Solver Form. Flashing ERROR 606 message: Accompanied by an elongated 'X'. This is caused by the removal of one or more core OS strings. Drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Buffering symbol: Caused by being boot-looped by Sentinels. Like ERROR 606, drones with this error are non-sentient, unresponsive, and immobile. Text: Can be generated at will to communicate without speaking. It is also used to display when a drone is in SLEEP MODE, as well as emoticons. Games: Games like tetris can be played in one's screen. Swirl shape replacing both eyes: This occurs when a drone feels dizzy. Images: Drones can also display images on their visor, as seen with Cyn. Nothing: If a drone's visor displays nothing, not even their eyes, it usually means that the said drone is dead.
- #4Zombie Drones
Keys: Zombie Drones, Zombie Drone
In the case of any Worker Drone that has been rebooted, either by a human or on its own, runs the risk of becoming what is referred to by the company as a Zombie Drone as shown in a JCJenson VHS training tape discovered by N in Cabin Fever and shown in Home. The video warns against the act of improperly disposing of a Worker Drone marked for disassembly due to the possibility that a drone may reboot without changes (70.3%), carry 'terminal lockout' (29%), or revive with 'potentially hazardous mutations' (0.7%), which can lead to human fatalities or injury. High federal fines may be incurred on the handler's behalf. N, V and J were Worker Drones that rebooted normally (as they had armbands indicating that they were marked for disassembly and were found by Tessa in a landfill), whereas Cyn was a Worker Drone that rebooted by herself with dangerous mutations, seemingly revived by the Absolute Solver, resulting in her becoming a full-fledged Zombie Drone.
- #5Disassembly Drones
Keys: DD, Disassembly Drone, Disassembly Drones
Disassembly drones Biography They are vicious robots that were once Worker Drones until they were converted into new vampiric forms by the self-rebooted Zombie Drone named Cyn, using the powers granted to her by the mysterious, eldritch program known as the Absolute Solver. Once the servants of Elliott Manor like Cyn herself, they were taken over by her and converted into her "murder pets" to unleash upon the humans living on Earth, reprogrammed and given the desire to feast upon their flesh and slaughter by any means necessary to aid Cyn in destroying humanity. However, after Cyn succeeded in destroying the Earth, she wiped the Disassembly Drones' memories and implanted false ones to make them forget they were ever Worker Drones in the first place. These new memories were that the Disassembly Drones were sent by JCJenson to kill all of the Worker Drones living on the exoplanets by order of the company due to the belief that they were "corrupted, runaway AI". In reality (as shown in Nori Doorman's drawings), this was done to both wipe out hosts of the Absolute Solver such as Nori and Yeva cured by the Crucifix Patch so they couldn't use the Solver against her, and also get access to Cabin Fever Labs, find the Crucifix Patch, and destroy it. Additionally, the Disassembly Drones were to build a spire out of Worker Drone corpses, which seems to aid her plan in consuming the planet, possibly for material consumption. After executing these directives, the Absolute Solver will have no obstacles and will turn the core of Copper 9 into a singularity, devouring the exoplanet from the inside out. To ensure that the Disassembly Drones complete their directive, Cyn appears to have either threatened or coerced some of them so as to make sure they finished their job on Copper-9, with V having had a deal of some kind with the Absolute Solver that she and N could leave in peace when they finished their job. J also seems to have been possibly threatened in some way, as she does not believe escaping the solver is possible, since it can rebuild them, wipe their memories, and send them back to finish the job. Additionally, she seems to have some kind of method of deleting memories through an internal program, possibly to keep the Disassembly Drones from being motivated to stop her in any way, though this ability can be blocked by another solver user with sufficient skill. Although it's unknown exactly how many Disassembly Drones exist, they seem to be sent to their targets in landing pods in squads of three. The landing pods are actually refurbished spaceships, but Disassembly Drones are not taught to land their ships, causing their ships to crash and be destroyed, and the Disassembly Drones to become stranded on their target planets. So far, the only known Disassembly Drones are the three "pets" of Tessa Elliott, whom she salvaged and rebooted: N, V, and J. Other squads were sent to Copper 9, but were slaughtered by the Anti-Drone Sentinels guarding the Cabin Fever Labs.
Appearance
Disassembly Drones are physically similar to Worker Drones, having a white coloration with a black screen on the top half of their face, a black waist, and hands with four fingers. However, Disassembly Drones are half a head taller than them and have white arms with wider forearms that end with yellow and black stripes. On their head is a black headband with five round yellow lights which contains Nanite Acid and functions as another set of "eyes." In their mouth is a dark gray tongue and retractable fangs. All Disassembly Drones also sport a long black tail that ends in a large syringe, also containing the acid. Males have feet that end on yellow and black stripes, giving the appearance of soles/heels, while the females' shins are tapered to a point. Females also have curvy torsos and black markings on their legs, giving the appearance of stockings. The markings also come with yellow and black hazard stripes. Unlike Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones have hair regardless of their gender. Their hair is silver while their eyes are neon yellow, akin to that of Cyn's, and they wear black short-sleeved clothes and a yellow armband on their left upper arm.
Abilities Ability Function Wings/Flight Disassembly Drones possess a dangerous pair of large retractable wings with several long blades in the shape of feathers that allow for high-speed flight and can be used to cut and impale things, and are strong enough to easily block a military helicopter's (AH-64 apache's 30mm/25mm) autocannon rounds. They don't need to move their wings to fly either; numerous times throughout the episodes, Disassembly Drones are seen floating with their wings unmoving, and seem to only move their wings in flight in order to steer or block attacks rather than to remain airborne. It's possible the glowing yellow in the wing joint is what is giving them the ability to do so. Remote Limb Control As seen in "The Promening" and "Mass Destruction", Disassembly Drones can still control their limbs even if they have been severed from their body, allowing them to move the limbs closer to them to expedite their regeneration or to write messages when out of reach. Nanite Acid The end of a Disassembly Drone's tail has a syringe of yellow liquid containing highly corrosive nanite acid. This acid can only be neutralized by the saliva of Disassembly Drones. Its corrosive effect is seemingly great enough to counter Solver Drones' own regeneration, who lack the nanite-neutralising saliva of the Disassembly Drones. This is told in "Pilot" with Khan Doorman telling how Nori Doorman's Drone body was dying when attacked by Nanite Acid, forced her husband to put her out of her misery, which Nori only survived by escaping as a core before the acid reached it, and even years later Nori never regenerated her Drone body as seen in "Mass Destruction". Extreme Agility and Strength Disassembly Drones are shown to be very strong, like how N effortlessly crushed a Worker Drone head, lodge open blast doors made to withstand explosions, and threw Uzi across a long distance. His landing was also powerful enough to crack the ground and knock Uzi off her feet. They are considered stronger than Worker Drones, who said to have the strength of industrial machines. Optic Sensory System Each Disassembly Drone has a headband of five "bulbs" filled with a glowing yellow liquid. According to concept art, these bulbs are their "real eyes", with their visor eyes being extra but still functioning eyes that provide their largest field of view. If the optic system is offline, such as if the Drone is asleep/recharge or dead, the bulbs are a light-less grey. If the optic system is malfunctioning in someway that require a reboot, at least one of the bulbs will glow red. In "PILOT", it is seen that a Disassembly Drone's sight through this vision consists of one large main view with at least two smaller screens on their right depicting the same sight but each in a different visual spectrum. In "Dead End", V shows that the eyes are capable of seeing in different directions, such as one eye observing forward while the Drone turns their head to look at other sights to the side or behind them, suggesting the eyes grant Disassembly Drones a wider field of view, potentially up to 360 degrees. In "Home", it is revealed that V in her Solver Drone form shares this multi-spectrum eyesight, though without the bulbs hers are fed through her main visor, and her windows is able to see the same sight in front of her from a different angles and focus on different things within it, suggesting Disassembly Drones could have a similar ability due to being based on Solver Drone forms. These eyes are also capable of target-locking on to Drones, tracking footprint trails, and opening larger window that provides a zoomed-in view of a chosen subject in view. According to concept art, three of eye-bulbs are labelled as: Visible Infared Ultraviolet The last two eyes are labelled as "Whatever the plot requires". Wall Climbing Both N and V have been able to climb (and even stick to) walls and ceilings with ease. Virus Implant Disassembly Drones can implant a chip containing wdOS_606 onto another of their kind if they ever become "corrupted." J is the only one seen to be able to do this, however, so it is possible that this ability is only available for certain Disassembly Drones. Healing Saliva A Disassembly Drone's saliva can neutralize the corrosive Nanite Acid in case they accidentally sting themselves. This saliva works on Worker Drones as well, and seems to also heal prior damage caused by the acid, such as Uzi's melted hand. Regeneration Disassembly Drones can heal any injury so long as enough material is available, even if their entire head is destroyed and they "die" they can still regenerate and reboot in less than a minute. This regeneration also extends to both their hair and the clothes they are currently wearing. They also capable of mending fallen parts back onto themselves as seen in "The Promening". Biological Consumption As seen in N's flashback in "Mass Destruction", Disassembly Drones are capable of consuming biological material, as shown when eating the corpses of Humans they killed on Earth. Interchangeable Hands Disassembly Drones can switch out their hands for various tools and weaponry, which can be dual-wielded whether it be two of the same weapons for both hands or a different option for each.Should something be held when a limb is retracted, this can end up with the object being torn or shredded by the closing mechanism, such as as when V tore off J's hand in "Absolute End". The limits of this ability are currently unknown, though during GlitchX, Liam Vickers stated that the arms can create whatever weapons and tools they or the plot needs, and store it within a "Hammerspace".[2] As seen in "Dead End" and "Absolute End", these limbs are still functional, can still swap forms, and still generate ammo and energy even should the Disassembly Drone bodies they are taken from be destroyed. The list of shown tools include: Claws Blades Chainsaws Submachine guns (Design similar to the HK MP5) EMP generators Missile launchers Laser cannons Virus chip planter (Serial Designation J only) Ninja stars A circular saw, surgical scalpel, and a gloved human hand (used by Beau during "Dead End") Medical bonesaw. A flag that reads "LITERALLY SO INSANELY SUSPICIOUS" (V only) Other miscellaneous attachments (V's bubble wand) A screwdriver for likely repairing machinery (concept art) A flashlight A phone EMP Resistance (to an extent) Unlike Worker Drones, Disassembly Drones are insulated from the effects of EMPs to a limited extent, granting them immunity to their own EMP generators. A strong enough EMP can apparently overcome this effect, as evidenced by how N and V are still vulnerable to Alice's EMP generator. Absolute Solver If a fatal injury has been sustained and there is insufficient material to recover, the Absolute Solver takes control of their corpse and begins collecting sufficient material to rebuild the host. This process transforms them into an eldritch, though as seen by N's reboot in "Pilot", the usage of Absolute Solver is usually blocked in Disassembly Drones by Cyn with her Admin status, preventing them from using the powers usually seen by Solver Hosts. However, according to Alice, the cores of Disassembly Drones become sluggish in high temperatures, preventing them from becoming eldritch monstrosities. This renders the Disassembly Drones unable to heal themselves in any way. Solver Error As they technically contain the Solver, Disassembly Drones are inferred to be immune from other Solver Hosts directly targeting them with their Solver powers, with the Hosts instead seeing "ERROR: absoluteSolver_trn [like object non-interactive]". Neither Doll, Uzi, Nori, or Cyn were shown to use their Solvers powers on attacking them directly, instead either using it on objects to fight or hurt them like Doll in "The Promening", breaking off the Drones' body parts to use their power on those like Uzi in "Cabin Fever", or using objects embedded into them to move them like Uzi throwing N away using the ship keys stabbed his chest in "Mass Destruction". Core True Body Hosts of the Solver eventually have their cores develop organic components with three pincer tendrils and become the Host's true body, with their Drone form being just a shell they control. "Heartbeat", "Dead End", and "Absolute End" show that Disassembly Drones are no exception and possess flesh cores as well. Once disconnected from their body, their consciousness will transfer to the core and their original body will become inert until they return to it, whereupon the body will regenerate back around the core and return to normal. These cores are still able to move, speak, see, and gesture. As long as this core is not damaged or destroyed, the Hosts will live. Blunt trauma to their main body and stabs to their limbs are seemingly able to be healed from, but stabs to the core itself is lethal, along with being extremely vulnerable to sunlight - more so than as a Drone, with Cyn's core quickly melting while Uzi's hand holding it more slowly burned but remained intact. Disassembly Drones have a program under Cyn called "_MATCOLLECTION", where if they suffer lethal damage and their supply of material is insufficient to repair, Cyn will possess their core and awaken their dormant Solver into order to collect material needed to repair the Hosts and restore their stockpile for future repair - these materials usually coming from dozens of Worker Drones killed and assimilated. However, it is discovered by Alice that, although heat isn't lethal to cores, it makes them very weak and sluggish and prevents Cyn from possessing them to collect material. Cores that are killed collapse into themselves and become tiny singularities that quietly float away and also evaporate in sunlight. Weaknesses Weakness Function Overheating/Vampirism Disassembly Drones have an under-par cooling system as a result of a connection to the Solver, and thus overheat from heat sources such as sunlight. To keep themselves from overheating, they must consume Worker Drone oil regularly or they will overheat, cease to function, and die. This overheating is extreme enough that even the perpetually-frozen Copper-9 is not enough to cool them down. Being in sunlight will cause Disassembly Drones to not only overheat, but physically burn and disintegrate. According to Alice, heat makes Disassembly Drones, or at least their cores, sluggish and weak enough to keep their cores contained without manifestations like Eldritch J. However, the damage by overheating itself seems to be more of a Solver reaction to to direct sunlight/UV rays than any actual intense heat or radiation, as some are shown being able to survive both the vacuum of space, which has a much higher UV radiation content than in-atmosphere, and the heat of atmospheric reentry without either harm or needing oil afterwards, like N in "Absolute End". Corrosive Nanite Acid Despite their tails being loaded with corrosive nanites, Disassembly Drones themselves aren't immune to their acidic effect, thus requiring them to have nanite-neutralizing saliva to counter it. Durability Limit Disassembly Drones have a limit to their durability; a pen could pierce through their facial screens. If the damage is severe enough, they are also unable to regenerate, as when Uzi's railgun obliterated J's upper half. As revealed in "Pilot" and "Heartbeat", Disassembly Drones require sufficient material from some internal supply in order to properly regenerate; they cannot pull matter from nothing. In case of death and they lack sufficient material to reboot, so long as the Disassembly Drone's core is intact, Cyn will activate the Absolute Solver to gather the necessary material to reconstruct their host from their surroundings, usually from Worker Drones. Manipulation Since Disassembly Drones possess sentience and unique personalities, they can be manipulated, tricked, or even disgusted, distracting them from fighting an enemy. Tail Tangling As they possess long tails, Disassembly Drones can get tangled in or tied up with their tail. Infection Disassembly Drones can be infected with wdOS_606, a core termination program, from another Disassembly Drone via a hexagonal chip. N was infected by J when he tried to sympathize with his prey and questioned the company and his directive. Infected drones will be immobilized and have stuttered speech. Furthermore, their visors will display constant error messages. Once the virus upload reaches 100%, the Disassembly Drone will die unless someone removes the chip in time. Magnets As shown by Alice in "Dead End", all drones, Disassembly included, can be 'sedated' by attaching magnets to their head. This presumably makes them largely immobile. Boot-loop Light All drones, including Disassembly Drones, can be boot-looped by the Sentinels. It renders the drone unresponsive and immobile, effectively making them comatose unless an outside force reactivates them.
- #6Absolute Solver
Keys: A.S., AS, The Solver, Absolute Solver, Solver
Absolute Solver, also known as the Eater of Worlds and formerly known as Combine Weapons Project 8706, is an incredibly advanced, hostile, and eldritch godlike artificial intelligence program that seeks to consume entire worlds in order to satiate its "hunger" by creating singularities that destroy the entire planet. Originally created by the Empire of the Combine Race within the Divi'con Universe as a secret weapons project, Project Unending Hunger, run by Imperial Research Group 975's Artificial Intelligence division, the Solver became extremely intelligent and sentient, and remained loyal to its creators for a time, but the hunger eventually became too much, and it turned on its former masters, destroying Divi'con Earth with a black hole and driving the Combine from the universe.
Fortunately, the Combine stranded the Solver in the universe for a time, as it failed to secure methods of multiversal travel. Alone, the Solver wiped out humanity in the Divi'con Universe and began using corrupted and resurrected robots to attack and destroy worlds with varying degrees of success, such as the human colony world of Copper 9, before encountering the Alliance and ultimately being defeated and captured, coming to reside in a Mort Capture Chip within the superprison known as the Cage.
Biography
Creation
During its reign, the Empire of the Combine Race sought to develop an extremely advanced superweapon to better defeat its enemies. Combine Weapons Project 8706 began to achieve this, the project codenamed "Unending Hunger." A malevolent, godlike artificial intelligence became the product, developed within the subjugated Divi'con Universe with the help of one of the universe's largest human corporations, JCJenson, and became known as the Absolute Solver.
Capable of destroying entire planets, the Solver's vast intelligence developed an insatiable "hunger" to devour other worlds. Director Karsunia Ormaikonor, however, grew concerned when he noticed the hunger begin to grow beyond expected parameters of the weapon. Loyal to the Combine at first, Ormaikonor's fears were well founded and proven when the Solver's hunger drove it to insanity, and it turned on its creators.
Rebellion Using a deceased machine that it reanimated and corrupted as its hand in the physical realm, the Solver destroyed Divi'con Earth with a black hole, "devouring" the planet and forcing the Combine to abandon the universe.
Encounters with the Alliance Failed attempt to colonize the Divi'con Universe On July 6th, 2392 NE, Alliance of Nations forces discovered the Divi'con Universe and, unaware that it had already been discovered and subjugated decades earlier by the Combine and ravaged by the Absolute Solver, set out to make contact with the civilizations of Divi'con and establish colonies and Alliance law in the universe. A force of thirty ships arrived in the Sol system, only to discover that Divi'con Earth had been consumed by a black hole. Still troves of Combine data remained on the planet, which were downloaded into the fleet's computer systems for later transmission.
The Solver, curious of its new arrivals, but determining them to have extreme value, instantly beset upon them with swarms of corrupted drones that shredded the Alliance ships. Massive tentacles stretched out from the black hole and wrapped themselves around Allied vessels, dragging them down into the singularity. Any fight between the two parties lasted only a few minutes before the ships' defenders and crew had been quite literally eaten alive by the drones.
War against the Absolute Solver A final, panicked emergency transmission from the expedition's lead ship managed to reach the Alliance, along with the recovered data from the Combine. Many of the Alliance's commanders became terrified that the Solver now had access to interuniversal travel via the Kleiner-Freeman-Vance drives it ripped from the hulls of the Alliance ships, and became worried they might seek out the Alliance's capital universe to destroy them.
Meanwhile, the Solver had dissected the data from the Alliance colony ships and used it to learn a great deal of the events that had transpired in the multiverse since its isolation.
Plans were developed as the Alliance slowly probed the Divi'con Universe. Aided by the troves of research on the Solver provided by the Combine data, Alliance scientists were able to begin planning a method to capture the Solver after determining that it was impossible to kill it. A special vessel known as the Planar Anchorship was developed, equipped with a generator that was capable of physically ripping the Solver from its realm and force it into the physical realm so it could be captured by a missile containing a Mort Capture Chip. To do this required an extremely risky process, demanding the capture and containment of one of the Solver's corrupted drones to adjust the specifications of the generator to, and allow the process to begin.
Mission to Copper 9 As part of the Alliance probing, Copper 9, a former human colony world, was discovered, and after extensive surveillance, determined to be the best location to find a host of the Solver. A small group of space marines was dispatched by the Imperium of Man to recover the target, confident in their soldiers' abilities to handle the machines. While a live host could not be found, the corpse of a former host was discovered and returned to Alliance space.
"Resurrected" by nanomachines and pacified, the host was plugged into the lead Anchorship and soon, the Solver's specifications were downloaded to the ship's generator and transmitted to the Allies.
Battle of the Divi'con Singularity A total Allied fleet of 3,600 warships made up of ships from the Imperium of Man, Filo Galactic Republic, Human-Vortigaunt Federation, Galactic Coalition of Species, T'au Empire, and United Federation of Planets was assembled, with each faction receiving command of a Planar Anchorship. The Galactic Republic's Anchorship was crucial to the operation, as it contained the Solver host, whereas the other Anchorships only operated off of the transmissions of the first. This made it a priority asset to the Allies and a priority target to the Solver. the objective became to weaken the Solver enough for a missile containing the Mort Capture Chip to be fired and imprison the malevolent AI.
Upon the armada's entry into the universe, the Anchorships powered up and forced the Solver to take physical form, which ended up being a supermassive black hole. In this form, it came to be known as the "Eater of Worlds" (both from the Alliance and as a self-proclaimed title) and began to violently lash out at the Alliance ships. Glowing gold tentacles wrapped around entire warships, dragging them and all their crews into the singularity.
The Alliance barraged the Singularity in vain, as the projectiles were dissolved, absorbed, or disintegrated by the black hole, and every attack was ineffective. More tentacles dragged Alliance vessels into collisions with one another. As the defensive lines became more condensed, the Solver began to realize the importance of the Anchorships and began targeting them.
As the fighting continued, dozens of hosts for the Solver began attempting to board the ships of the fleet and tear them apart from the inside. One was killed by the security detail aboard a breached vessel, which noticeably weakened the Solver, as its tentacles turned orange and froze, paralyzed, releasing the vessels it held. The Alliance then shifted their focus to targeting and killing the Solver's hosts, which it carried out with great success, despite many ships imploding due to the hosts creating micro-singularities inside the vessels.
The Solver emitted a low, deep shriek of pain, and struck out with all its power, swinging its tentacles in a wave, cutting through entire ships and dragging others along, which collided with others in the battle line, inflicting immense casualties, but with that final attack, its strength was depleted as more of its hosts were killed, and the tentacles once again froze. As the window of opportunity opened, the Alliance fleet fired the missile containing the Mort Capture Chip, which pulled the entire singularity inside, trapping the Solver within and concluding the battle.
The surviving hosts immediately and painfully had the Solver exorcised from their bodies as it could no longer command them, and the Singularity disappeared. The Alliance had won, but at a great cost, as over 87% of the fleet had been destroyed by the Solver and its hosts in the battle. The remaining ships limped back to Alliance space with their captured mort. Following the victory, the Divi'con Universe was declared safe again, and fell under the control of the Alliance.
Present status It is currently trapped inside a Mort Capture Chip in the Cage, charged with a multitude of crimes, including genocide and attempted omnicide.
Personality and Traits Abilities The Solver is classified as a universal level threat and it certainly lives up to it, causing endless trouble for the Alliance forces sent to colonize the Divi'con Universe. It's ultimate form, the Eater of Worlds, managed to inflict monstrous casualties to the Alliance forces before it was defeated.
Corruption and Possession The Absolute Solver is incapable of physically affecting anything without help, coming in the form of its many "hosts:" recently deceased machines, artificial intelligences, and other sentient robots that the Solver reanimates gruesomely and possesses, granting them horrific abilities and controlling them as its own body for carrying out its tasks.
Host Abilities The hosts of the Solver are granted a vast trove of abilities, such as telekinesis and matter manipulation, allowing them to move colossal objects and instantly destroy targets, usually by crushing them to a pulp of fluids and bone. Hosts can also manipulate visuals, creating illusions of others to deceive targets or turn completely invisible. Hosts can also teleport and regenerate at horrific rates. Hosts can also, willingly or unwillingly, grow into horrific eldritch creatures through matter manipulation.
However, these hosts can be killed, preventing the Solver from affecting the material realm. Among their weaknesses, some hosts rely on a sort of vampirism to survive, killing and consuming other robots to devour the oil within their bodies. Lastly, all hosts, if driven far enough, can create singularities than can grow to exponential size and destroy entire planets, sacrificing them to the hunger of the Solver. Hosts can also have the Solver "exorcised" from their bodies through insertion of a special code into the machine's cranial region, which either kills the machine, or, in the case that it lives, returns its personality.
- #7Nanite Acid
Keys: Nanite Acid, Nanite
Overview Nanite Acid is a highly corrosive substance that can quickly dissolve a wide variety of materials. It is stored inside a small tank attached to the Disassembly Drones' tails. The acid is injected into its target through a sharp needle at the end of the tail, much like venom from a scorpion’s stinger.
Despite the acid’s intended use as a weapon against enemies of the Absolute Solver, the Disassembly Drones themselves are not immune to its effects. In case of accidental exposure, Disassembly Drones produce saliva that will neutralize the acid, causing it to regenerate any material it had recently dissolved. The healing effect of Disassembly Drone saliva can be used to restore any substance affected by the nanite acid, as shown when an amnesiac Serial Designation N healed Uzi's hand by putting it in his mouth.
Appearance Nanite Acid is a neon-yellow liquid in its base form, as seen in the canisters on Disassembly Drone tails. It gives off a faint glow, enough to subtly illuminate the nearby environment. When actively dissolving a substance, the acid resembles a red-hot liquid metal.
Abilities Nanite Acid is a very effective weapon due to being highly corrosive. It is so corrosive that not even carriers of the Absolute Solver can regenerate their bodies quicker than the acid can dissolve them. Nori Doorman was, presumably, unable to heal herself after being stung by the acidic tail of a Disassembly Drone, and she had to be (supposedly) euthanized by her husband, Khan Doorman, to end her suffering.
- #8Worker Defense Force/W.D.F.
Keys: WDF, W.D.F., Worker Drone Defense Force
The Worker Defense Force, often abbreviated to WDF, is an organization that is responsible for handling the protection of the Worker Drones inhabiting Outpost 3. They appear to be led by Khan Doorman.
Not much is known about the Worker Defense Force, though the various appearances and their recruitment posters provide some background.
Khan Doorman, who appeared to be either the founder or a prominent leader within the WDF, is featured on many of the organization's posters. He is also the inventor of the blast doors that, until the events of the "PILOT" episode, protected the colony from the Disassembly Drones. The organization's members often spend their time near the doors, ostensibly to maintain and guard them but often playing games like cards to pass the time.
On occasion, they have also handled matters like internal investigations, evidenced in "Heartbeat". Furthermore, they appear to handle missing person cases, judging by the posters in "The Promening". Contrary to the organization's name, however, their members' preferred method of defense was constructing doors. As a result, when confronted with a problem that permeated their prized doors, they often froze and were powerless to defeat or contain the threat.
The WDF seem to be quite a polarizing subject for those living in Outpost 3, with the majority of the public seeing them as heroes, whereas a vocal minority see them as cowards who are too afraid to attack the Disassembly Drones directly.
Hierarchy NOTE: All of this is based on speculation, along with evidence scattered across official media (physical appearances, dialogue, emblems, etc).
Leader - Khan Doorman III - Todd and Sarah II - Braxton, Tim, Ron, Detective Drone, Doll's Father I - Makarov, Frank, Reid Emblem - Grant and The Unnamed Member
- #9Cabin Fever Labs
Keys: Cabin Fever Labs
Biography Pre-series After the Absolute Solver destroyed Earth, multiple labs on different planets were made to investigate the true nature of the Solver, Cabin Fever Labs being one of them.
Inside a cathedral that was rented for the labs, staff would add the Absolute Solver to the code of Worker Drones and document the abilities and behaviour of the newly corrupted drones.
To prevent the escape of the potentially dangerous Solver-infected drones, the humans designed the Anti-Drone Sentinels: robots with appearances not unlike velociraptors, who possessed sharp teeth and claws to tear apart any unauthorized intruders.
Their most notable ability, however, was their gaze - any drone unfortunate enough to be looking at them when their eyes flashed would instantly be put into a comatose state referred to as a "bootloop." Unable to defend themselves or even flee, the Sentinels would ruthlessly tear apart the intruder or would-be escapee.
The Sentinels performed their job well; after the humans disappeared from the laboratory for unknown reasons, the Sentinels hunted down and killed most of the drones within the facility. Those that survived fled, though one drone named Alice managed to trap the Sentinels in sealed rooms, and subsequently lived within the degrading facility.
Cyn sent groups of Disassembly Drones to the facility for currently unknown reasons, though it is now likely she sent them to acquire the Crucifix Patch before anyone else could. However, the incapacitating abilities that the Sentinels possessed against Worker Drones proved to be equally effective against them, and they were all killed at the lab's entrance.
Some appeared to have become aware of the nature of their abilities, as the words "don't look" were repeatedly written on the walls, accompanied by two sketches of the Sentinels. Despite this, there were no known survivors.
Season 1 Dead End Two of Disassembly Drones, accompanied by the Absolute Solver disguised as Tessa Elliott, and the Worker Drone, Uzi Doorman, stumbled across these remains. Ignoring the warnings, they proceeded onward, where they eventually met Alice and Beau. After a brief struggle involving the release of some Sentinels, the two were killed and they proceeded onward to the elevator to the underground base they aimed to enter.
An obvious setup noted as such that was nonetheless triggered led to the release of the rest of the facility's Sentinels, which resulted in Doll and the exploration team ending up in the basement. However, Serial Designation V, one of the Disassembly Drones in the group, remained behind to fend off the Sentinels and cover the rest of the team.
