Murasaki Shion, graduated from hololive on 26 April 2025.

How does Murasaki Shion's personality reflect in her interactions with other hololive members?

Murasaki Shion, a self-proclaimed dark magician, interacts with other hololive members in a blunt, flirtatious manner. Her attempts to appear adult-like are often thwarted by her childish demeanor. Despite this, she has formed strong bonds with other hololive members, gaining self-confidence. She is a fan of FPS games, showcasing quick reflexes, but is easily frightened by horror games.

Why does Murasaki Shion want to be seen as an adult?

Murasaki Shion, a character from the Demonic-Realm Academy, aspires to be recognized as an adult. However, her childlike demeanor and looks often contradict her efforts. She is characterized by her straightforward language, absence of conventional Japanese courtesy, and playful engagements with fellow hololive members.

How does Murasaki Shion's blunt speaking style differ from typical Japanese language norms?

Murasaki Shion's language style is candidly blunt, with an unapologetic use of slang and colloquialisms. This contrasts with the usual formal and polite Japanese language norms. Shion's unfiltered perspective provides advice and critique without the usual formalities, making her language raw and authentic in the VTuber realm.

Who are the other VTubers who debuted alongside Murasaki Shion in the second generation of hololive?

Murasaki Shion, a purple-haired VTuber, debuted as part of the second generation of hololive with Minato Aqua, Yuzuki Choco, Nakiri Ayame, and Oozora Subaru.

Profile: Original: hololive.tv: "Hellshio! Murasaki Shion here!" A random self-proclaimed magician (though she is an adult) who appears around the Demonic-Realm Academy. She calls herself a highborne black magician (probably).

She can barely say her greeting, “Hellshio”.

Revision: hololive.hololivepro.com: "Hellshio! Murasaki Shion here!" A magician that randomly appears around the Underworld Academy... though she's actually an adult (or so she says. It is true.). A self-proclaimed talented dark magician of noble birth (or so she says).

She almost never actually says "Hellshio."

Personality: Shion is a smug, cheeky brat ("kusogaki") who speaks bluntly without the usual politeness/consideration associated with the Japanese language, and flirts shamelessly with other hololive members. She wants to be seen as an adult, but thanks to her childish appearance and mannerisms, all attempts by Shion to appear adult-like end up looking very silly.

She has a friendly rivalry with Minato Aqua, and the two can often be seen playing petty and mostly harmless pranks on each other.

One of her most iconic cries is her guttural scream of "NEEEEEEE." This was most famously uttered by Shion after Natsuiro Matsuri revealed that Shion's wet sneezing sounds were heard by Matsuri's listeners in one of her livestreams.

Appearance: She has long white hair with short blunt bangs and yellow eyes. She wears a large black and purple witch hat and wears a stripey witch outfit. She has dark shoes with a gold star shaped attachment on the front.
