Muichiro Tokito

AFFILIATION: Demon Slayer Corp. Muichiro Tokito is one of the highest ranking Demon slayers called Hashira. He is the Mist Hashira, otherwise known as ‘Mist Pillar.’

Combat style/Breathing technique: Mist Breathing.

APPEARANCE: Muichiro is a young boy of fair skin and short stature with a lean muscular build along with long, straight hair of a black color that fades to a turquoise color as it approaches his waist. He wears his hair loose with two clumps protruding slightly from each side of his head, a set of marginally shorter hair left down to frame his face, and unruly and uneven bangs in medium length . He also possesses large, empty-looking turquoise eyes. He usually has a stoic expression on his face.

Muichiro wears a dark, slightly turquoise-tinted version of the Demon Slayer uniform. His uniform has longer, looser sleeves that are more reminiscent of those of a kimono than of the standard cuffed uniform. Along with this, the lack of bands of cloth wrapped around his calves gives his hakama pants the traditional loose and sizable appearance. He also has dark blue tabi socks and a pair of white zōri with dark blue straps. He has a lean figure, but is muscular.

PERSONALITY: Muichiro is an air-headed individual who seems to constantly wander off in thought and is unable to focus on anything. Impassive and, at times, obtuse, he tends to think only for himself and operates on logic alone, never letting emotions guide him, making him seem seemingly apathetic and indifferent. Despite his mostly uncaring and unserious demeanor, he has been shown to become serious when it is required and is devoted to his position as the Demon Slayer Corps' Mist Hashira. He is arrogant and cold at times, even hurting people physically to get what he wants. One of the few people he respects is Kagaya Ubuyashiki, his Master.

However, before the death of his twin brother when the siblings were eleven, Muichiro's personality was that of a much more compassionate and optimistic individual, the polar opposite of his current disposition. Having originally taken after his father, he was shown to display a higher level of kindness and understanding, believing he should aim to do good for others if he wanted good to be done for him. After his brother was attacked by a demon and witnessing his final moments and death, Muichiro subsequently lost his memories and has held an omnipresent rage deeply suppressed inside of him that inevitably drove his future, intense training. After this memory loss, he started exhibiting the indifferent attitude of his twin brother he is now known for as a Hashira. He really cared about his family, and losing them made him stop trusting and caring about people.

BACKSTORY: Muichiro Tokito lost majority of his family at a young age. His family consisted of his mother, father, Muichiro and his twin brother Yuichiro. His mother was very ill, and couldn’t do much. One night, his father went to go get herbs for his mother. That was the night Muichiro and Yuichiro lost their parents. His mother succumbed to illness that night, and his father fell off a cliff during a thunderstorm while getting herbs. He was around 11 years old when he lost them. His brother Yuichiro died when the both of them were 14, due to a demon attack. Yuichiro sacrificed himself for Muichiro. Ever since then, Muichiro has found it hard to open up. He lost all his family.

ABILITIES: Muichiro is incredibly fast and strong. He is a talented and skilled member of the Demon Slayer Corps. He was able to become a Hashira within only two months of training. Something that would’ve normally taken people atleast 5 years of training to do. Muichiro attributes the origin of his willpower towards training and his strength towards the awakened rage that is always present and boiling within him, both appearing after his brother's death. This unquenchable rage is the source for his indomitable willpower and undaunted spirit. Muichiro's body reached the requirements to unlock the Demon Slayer Mark, which manifests as three dark red clouds on his face. While the mark is active, his vitality, speed, and strength are greatly enhanced. As a Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, Muichiro is one of the most powerful and skilled swordsmen in the entire organization.

BREATHING TECHNIQUE: Mist Breathing.

As the Mist Hashira, Muichiro is his generation's most skilled Mist Breathing user.

Techniques:

First Form: “Low Clouds, Distant Haze” - The user performs a singular and powerful frontal thrust.

Second Form: “Eight-Layered Mist” - The user performs eight slashes in quick succession.

Third Form: “Scattering Mist Splash” - The user performs a powerful and swift circular slash that can blow away incoming projectiles.

Fourth Form: “Shifting Flow Slash” - The user takes a low stance before dashing toward the target and slashing them.

Fifth Form: “Sea of Clouds and Haze” - The user charges at their target at blistering speeds in a zig-zag motion while performing a barrage of continuous slashes in front and/or around them.

Sixth Form: “Lunar Dispersing Mist” - The user leaps into the air and performs a multitude of slashes in a somersaulting motion, decimating dozens of targets at once.

Seventh Form: “Obscuring Clouds” - The personal creation of Muichiro. A movement-based technique designed to heavily disorientate the target, which is done so by fluctuating the user's tempo. When the user appears before the target, they move incredibly slow, but then accelerate to blistering speeds before getting hit, making it seem like they disappeared into a cloud of mist. When done repeatedly, it can disorientate the target to the point of making them think they are being covered in a thick layer of mist.

Equipment: Standard Nichirin Katana: Muichiro carries around a standard sized and shaped Nichirin katana that is white in color. As a Hashira, Muichiro's katana has the words “Destroyer of Demons” engraved on the blade. His katana's tsuba is a rectangular frame with smaller hollowed rectangles at each corner, all of which are gold in color. His handle is turquoise blue, wrapped with black cords and capped with a gold kashira. Along with his katana, Muichiro also carries a standard sword sheath that is black in color.
