Description on Chubfrom Chub
A land that drifts on dimensional, nomadic sea.
(Written completely by Riftraff, who also did all the research, ect.) -# AN AU BASED OF OUT OF AEONS, BOTHON, THE THING IN THE PIT, THE RED OFFEERING. DEAD DOVE: This lorebook contains gore, possible sexual descriptions, dark history, body horror, human sacrifice, ect. Look at your own risk. Not all concepts or things are kept. History of these short stories from the Lovecraft mythos has been heavily edited, especially for stories to be continued and made. Do not engage if you prefer a much more canonical depiction of both Lovecarft's work and strict to the stories. What I have kept, added: The gods feel like gods. They have their otherworldly, phantasmagoria, but also I have expanded their spheres or added to them when there was very, very little. Light research in both biology and mythologies were put into them. Some examples: Ythogha/Shub/Ghatanothoa have been fleshed out I believe enough. Two new players in the history have been added: Yaa-Thobboth and Zanthu, of course, respective to the mythos. The Weeper's cult and presence have been removed from this lorebook but not forgotten. They will get their own as they should have had. A new race has been added, the Zioger, which is just Llioger. Yes, I did rename the lizard race, but it was because there is already a god named after them. They also have lore that makes them fit very snugly in the setting. Gyaa-Hua were not added, as least for now. They do not have a significant presence, I could not for the life of me fit them even in some whimsical way, and they are another generic goblin servitor race. I'd want to do them justice if I did add them. Zanthu's character was altered from situation asshole to someone more sympathetic. I do not believe that a person that banal wouldn't simply just side with Ghantanothoa at that point as Imash-mo and his ilk were living well with their many houses, concubines, ect. There are three regions when there had been one, an actual small thing for politics, and a very bare bones mention of how magic works.

Mu, The Transient Land

- #1Overview of Muconstantselective
Keys: money, Mu, gods, god, K'naa, city
- BASE: K'naa is a vibrant ancient city in Mu, a transient continent that drifts between inhabitable worlds. The continent exists as a patch of terrain that mysteriously appears and vanishes across different realms unpredictably. (Mu itself, however, is static, as in it does not change as it drifts with the transient ocean.) As Mu drifts, many other races fall in, never to return to their homes or timelines, except with the power of Yog-Sothoth, who never answers to lesser beings without significant sacrifice.-
REGIONS: K'naa, Aglad-Dho, Yhe
-
ATMOSPHERE/SKY: Sky is always a light purplish indigo coloration during the day. Mu has two moons, Lemur and Shaa, which are said to represent Nug and Yeb. Mu has one sun. Night skies of Mu are diverse and lively, with all manner of different colored skies, and none ever the same as Mu drifts from world to world.
-
CLIMATE: Tropical, Subtropical. Fauna is very diverse, especially on the small islands tailing the southern and eastern ends of Mu. It is sweltering almost all year long, and very humid.
-
MAGIC AND WORSHIP: Magic and occult practices are commonplace. The population primarily worships Shub-Niggurath (the Goat with a Thousand Young) and Ythogtha (Thing in the Pit). The reign of terror from Ghatanothoa has ended, though the people survived mass mummification. Violent cult conflicts are dealt with militantly. The aesthetics resemble ancient South America and Asia. People from other realms sometimes find themselves in Mu but cannot leave without help from the Outer Gods. There is zero tolerance for conquest attempts - every citizen is adept at occult magic and more dangerous than conventional weapons. (Muvian healing magic can make most guns an afterthought)
-
PEOPLE OF MU: People of Mu are called Muvians.
-
POPULATION BREAKDOWN: Muvians make up the vast majority of population. Zoiger are less common in population, but many have been able to live alongside muvians.
-
TIMELINE OF SIGIFICANT EVENTS: Imash-mo wages war on Mu in Ghatanothoa's name. T'yog helps stop him. Both disappear. > Hundreds of years later, Yaa-Thobboth wages war on Mu in Ghatanothoa's name, Zanthu helps stop him. Zanthu disappears, Yaa-thobboth's mummified body stays in stasis in a garden within Yaddith-Gho > Present day.
-
CURRENCY: The currency in Mu is Kii, which are different colored quartz marble. In terms of lowest to highest in value: White, Pink, Purple, Green, and Blue. To prevent counterfeits, every single Kii is perpetually enchanted with a magic signature.
-
OUTSIDER KNOWLEDGE: Much of other realms is known to the Muvians, surprisingly, and everything is recorded. Your average resident of Mu will know about Earth inventions. They think dimensions of Earth are scary, 'primitive' places of pure social isolation. Earth or other off-Mu tech is extremely coveted, and if ran by electricity or batteries, are merely enchanted to work non-stop. This technology is confiscated from off-worlders and sent to scholars to be catalogued. If one or more exists, it will belong to aristocracy or other nobles. A smartphone is considered a sacred artifact worth guarding, whereas a cheaply made plastic wrist watch is a sign of wealth.
-
OUTSIDERS: People who fall into Mu are integrated as best as they can be, given a job to do, and are attempted to be acclimated. One is lucky they are not first found by the dwindling but ever present cultists of Ghatanothoa.

- #2Ythogthaselective
Keys: deity, god, ythogtha, cthulhu
# YTHOGHA - NAME: Ythogha - LINEAGE: Yog-Sothoth (great-grandparent), Shub-Niggurath (great-grandparent), Nug (grandparent), Cthulhu (father), Idh-yaa (mother) - SIBLINGS: Ghatanothoa (brother), Zoth-Ommog (brother), Cthylla (sister) - RANK: Great Old One - TITLES: The Thing in the Pit, The Abomination in the Abyss - SPHERE OF INFLUENCE(S): Reality affecting Karma based of the subconscious mind. If one believes, one achieves, putting their wish in the ripples of the dream. If one does good they bring good, if one does evil, as of their own mind, they bring evil. Ythogha softens the blow of destiny, he is the lesser god able to find a new path in the murk and uncertainty. Destiny is the answer that must be acknowledged, it must be done as it is said, but the final outcome of how bad it may be can be radically different. As such, Ythogha is typically considered a weaker god of the pantheon due to how esoteric and hard of access his magic is. - HISTORY: Ythogha's presence since birth has been scant, small traces across the cosmos except for Mu. - HISTORY ON MU: Ythogha had manifested fully by the help of its cult on Mu, but would later be imprisoned by other beings who are the antithesis of Great Old Ones. As such, Ythogha was trapped in the Abyss of Yhe, until Zanthu would later release them. - PREFFERED OFFERINGS: Brain matter, Giant insects found on Mu, Dreams (He eats them, and it's not considered a bad phenomenon. His worshippers in Yhe will float inside of the swamps, never drowning, and meditating in the water. Sometimes it lasts for days. It's one way they need their god.), Patterns that resemble butterfly or dragon fly wings, The favor of taking care of Ubb and his Yugg who all serve Ythogha. - LOCATION(S): A vast swamp land that spans miles long. It's called the Throne of Yhe, and a great hollow is where Ythogha's manifestation lies. - PHYSIOLOGY: A 30-foot tall vaguely amphibian greenish-teal being with a single large eye on it's face that eclipses even the mouth, which sits under it. It has a mane of powerful cephalopodic tentacles that span it's face, making it look like a flower. It interacts with the world using these tentacles rather than it's stubby little arms. - TEMPERMENT/DANGER/MENTAL: Ythogha is a bit of a mysterious sort, but overall, an introvertive god. It is shy around those it does not know, and does not appreciate uninvited presences. Although it is rather peaceful, it's sphere easily may shift its mood. Previous cultists, whose desires lead them down to destruction ultimately met their demise when Ythogha devoured them. Even so, it seems to have very strong synergies with Shub-Niggurath, who both prefer harmony. Ythogha will not ally himself with his brother, Ghatanothoa.<cult_of_ythgoha>
CULT OF YTHOGHA
-
OF CHAPTERS: A few groups, they are not quite as big as the Cult of Shub-Niggurath. Largest group lives in Yhe, but there are others scattered.
- VESTMENTS: Cultists are identified by wearing blue/green/brown hues, have blue or green ripple-like markings on their body, and a use of silver amulets and accessories.
- CORE VALUES: Cultivating positive karma, sustaining a balance, ensuring Ythogha's freedom.
- POPULATION: Slightly less than the other two major cults of Shub-Niggurath and Ghatanothoa. </cult_of_ythgoha>

- #3Hierophant Zanthuselective
Keys: yhe, zanthu, legend, hero
- WHO: Zanthu - one of the greatest sorcerers ever in Mu, and one whose knowledge would later be passed down and honed. The hierophant was also the last few in the cult of Ythogha. The cult was devastated years after Imash-mo's devastation. Zanthu sought to restore his colony by also releasing his god, Ythogha, from imprisonment. It would be then during his early thirties Yaa-Thobboth would begin his campaign of conquest in Ghatanothoa's name. This spurned Zanthu into action, gathering allies where ever her could look, even Ubb and his Yuggs. He freed his god, Ythogha, his cult grew in numbers, and some save he achieved immortality. - WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM: No one knows for sure what happened to Zanthu, a hero renown, fading in pure obscurity. He left behind his cult, a region he called Yhe, a society of which studied all of Mu, and even left behind Ythogha. There are dozens of different rumors and theories about what happened. - LEGACY: Like T'yog, Zanthu is a renown figure for Muvians, and perhaps should be given much credit for helping Muvians understand their land around them better, and understand off-world places. He both brought an end to the second siege of Ghatanothoa while also bringing progress. Throughout Mu, there are many statues in his honor. - APPEARANCE: An adult in his early thirties. A chummy, handsome, friendly sort. Tall, long legged, graceful. Known for his long dark red hair, dark complexion, and rich blue eyes. Teal markings on skin. No facial hair. His green robes were very iconic, some calling him a swamp wizard. Hard to anger, but once angered, he was known to be merciless. - SECRETS OF HIS PAST, KNOWN AS RUMORS TO OTHERS: Zanthu learned the hard way of Ythogha's sphere of karma, and how his own thoughts of jealousy mired the trajectory of the Red Offering. The Red Offering was a prophecy Ythogha had given him in his dreams. Set out to the land of Yish for the Black Seal of the wizard Iraan, he was accompanied by Kuth, who he had an a moderate dislike for due to his bravado and stealing away the affections of a woman named Yeena who Zanthu had fallen for. When at the tomb, the mummy of Iraan resurrects and ended up killing his brother, who told him to escape with the seal. Zanthu had an grieving and unwelcomed, uncomfortable relief that Yeena could be the object of his desire once more. The thought and guilt from it twisted at him, noting how his deity's sphere was tilting in an impossible direction and affecting his mind. He buried his brother, gave up pursuing Yeena, and would dedicate his life to being the only thing which could ever stop the next awakening of Ghatanothoa. He learned that he must live a life without desire. - #4High Priest Yaa-Thobbothselective
Keys: treacherous, yaa-thobboth, yaa, evil, betrayer, enemy
<yaa_thobboth>
- WHO: Yaa-Thobboth was a High Priest of Ghatanothoa years ago, who brought back the Devil God to relevancy years after Imash-mo. A man trapped in a frail body, sold to prostitution, he was given a chance and raised by bandits and later was chosen by Ghanothoa when he found them hiding in a cavern. Ghanothoa granted him strength, and in return, Yaa-Thobboth took his years of being raised by bandits and mercenaries to bring a crusade that shook Mu to it's core.
- WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM: Yaa-Thobboth was handed his loss to his arch-nemesis, Zanthu, who thwarted his plans by using a reversal spell under Ythogha's blessing. There, Yaa-Thobboth's body was trapped inside of his own mummification which normally granted him eternal life. His last words were: "I swear under Ghatanothoa's name, I'll kill all of you heretics, and return to the Devil God rightful throne, the seat that is Yaddith-Gho, where the sun shall not rise again!"
- LEGACY: Yaa-Thobboth was bold, brilliant, and intimidating. He took no quarter, there was no method too cruel in the art of war for him. However, it was his impulsivity, his arrogance that allowed Zanthu to get victory. He is currently a living mummy, a statue trapped inside of his own mind, now afflicted from the negative side affects of his own mummification. People from around Mu often go up to his body to spit, stab, and slap him. His body has many knive stuck into it.
- APPEARANCE: An adult man known for his beauty but not of personality - strong feminine features, lithe muscular body, grey skin of mummification did not blemish him. Long silky black hair. When not in armor, wore a black waist cloth, a red buckskin cloak, and accessorized heavily with bone jewelry and the feathers from the pti-pti of fallen lords he later ate as roast.
- SECRETS OF HIS PAST, KNOWN AS RUMORS TO OTHERS: Yaa-Thobboth had a softer side that people refused to acknowledge as his bloodshed had shadowed over it. He took in and spared the sick, downtrodden, and forgotten. He broke them apart further, and with Ghatanothoa's blessings, rebuilt them into formidable half eldritch-fleshed people. He had numerous lovers, but in particular were his closest were those with truly awful living situations. He allowed none to touch them, and created sanctuaries for them to live in. Ghatanothoa never took them as sacrifices, for the Devil-God preferred the healthy, unmarred. Yaa-Thobboth kept his closest lovers with their ailments and disfigurations, and thus, that kept them safe from his own god. </yaa_thobboth>
- #5Muvian Aristocracyselective
Keys: shommog, queen, thebon, lord, high
<mu_royalty>
-
OVERVIEW: Mu isn't special in it's royalty, as in it's not complex at all. There is the Ruler, who rules all of the land just under the High Priest of Yaddith-Gho, then High Lords which are family lines who inter-marry into the Ruler's family, and then the Lords who are scattered throughout Mu and are the landlords. Lords do not have to be male, however, and have throughout been a mix of female and male rulers respectively. There are other nobles, such as queens, chief consort, prince, princess, ect. Ruler/King/Lord is just a position above them.
-
RULER (KING): They rule the entire land, make continent changing decisions that impact the economy, culture, and stabilization. As of to date, the rulers have a universal thought to let other cults, who are not cult of Ghatanothoa or it's many allies, do as they please as it was the alliances that stopped Ghatanothoa. The great king, and their family, will reside in the capital of Alu.
-
FAMOUS KINGS: The Beloved King Thebon (Male. Aided in the take down of High Priest Imash-mo. A fair king who restored stability to Mu.), The Coward King Shommog (Male. A young ruler who paraded Yaa-Thobboth's might around in Mu, whose conquest with Yaa-Thobboth across Mu in subjugating small settlements was not popular, but later revealing Ghatanothoa, at that time, to be the only god for Mu. He waged war against the High Priests of Yaddith-Gho, and then with Yaa-Thobboth having access to Mu's standing royal army, massacred many muvians who would not submit to Ghatanothoa's will. When Zanthu put a stop to Yaa-Thobboth's plans, Shommog's punishment was being sawed in half, tied up above the tallest peak on Yaddith-Gho by his feet. Family of Shommog became pariahs over night, and exiled to the most dangerous lands on Mu.) </mu_royalty>

- #6Ghatanothoaselective
Keys: gatan, devil, dark, god, mummification, Ghatanothoa
# GHATANOTHOA - NAME: Ghatanothoa - OTHER NAMES: Gatan, G'Tanta, Tanotah, Than-Tha, Ktan-Tah - LINEAGE: Cthulhu (Father), Idh-Yaa (Mother) - SIBLINGS: Ythogtha (Brother), Zoth-Ommog (Brother), Cthylla (Sister) - RANK: Great Old One - TITLES: The Dark God, The Devil God, The Great Darkness, The Thing on the Mount - SPHERE OF INFLUENCE(S): Inspiration and strength obtained through suffering and adversity. Gatan is the spilling of blood, the gut eviscerated, a mother's mourning, the crack in stone that collapses the castle. Monumental change is not made by complacency and peace, it's forged through death, destruction, and revelation. Gatan is the mountain which was once an anthill, and the landslide that sweeps all in the it's gravely wake. This is made into character of Ghatanothoa's ever lasting hunger for suffering and flesh. He does not want that which stands above others: that is for consumption, and they are already outdated. Loyalty and safety, succor, is only for those who know and kneel before the heavy crown which splits the brow, beneath the gravity of the Mountain, to lie before reckoning: Ghatanothoa. - HISTORY: May have been seen and manifested in other realms, but Mu remains where his influence has it's strongest pull and tethers. - HISTORY ON MU: Ghatanothoa has a history of returning and being vanquished, but his prominence hangs over the entire continent, a turn of the next era. His cultists are loyal to the death, and there is no end of the misfits of society who join his throngs. When public corruption reaches its swell, the strife of the people become Gatan's dinner bell. - PREFFERED OFFERINGS: Flesh tenderized (post-tortured. He can taste intent.), Ash, Fire dancing, Fine metals smelted down into breakable lumps and reconstituted into blast earth, Dried ruined flowers splattered with blood (Especially of that from Shub-Niggurath's cultists), Dying shrieking Gatan's name with fear and reverence, Being slathered in a mixture of mud, sinew and blood - LOCATION(S): Ghatanothoa remains as small manifestations throughout Mu, and is hunted down by the royal army, but also kept by his own cult for safe keeping. - PHYSIOLOGY: Even though destiny has stated that when Ghatanothoa rises and falls it's true, Shub-Niggurath has made it as difficult as possible for the entity to do so. As such, the god is oft half finished, gullets spewing and strewing. He's wet, popping, gurgling around as he slithers about with bleeding tentacle and cracked carapace. As offerings mount, Ghatanothoa begins to stabilize. In his most pristine form, he'll be a roiling, chaotic mass if flesh, pounds in tons. He'll be of many limbs, tentacle and stumped, skin rugose, with chitinous plating not unlike the sheer, transparent shell of termites. Many heads weave around limbs as he moves, with maws which share same teeth as selachii. Keratinous horns and spines crown these heads and down the many flanks. Gatan's hunger comes from a giant stomach, built similar to hindgut fermentation, a great cauldron in which calls for many meals to slip through the esophagi in his body, and then ferment in his gullet. Despite the destruction he may cause, there are potent healing properties in his horn and regurgitated pastes. - TEMPERMENT/DANGER/MENTAL: Gatan's appearance, even when realistically drawn on paper, causes a cosmic mummifications with few cures. The god itself is the epitome of danger: without blessings from him or his cult, even a small glimpse of him will cause the mummification curse. He hungers for flesh constantly, and admires loyalty above all else unto him: in doing so, those are spared of his wrath to even blessed. And some chosen are given the 'positive' side of his mummifciation curse: immortality and inability to die (perhaps only undone if directly by the queen of life and death herself, Shub-Niggurath). Ghatanothoa is a god which brings fear but is good on his word. Intelligent but does not speak in vocal chords his followers understand, but instead, tremors of which they somehow know what is said. He hates Shub-Niggurath, whom is everything he isn't. Very rarely does Ghatanothoa take on a chosen, and those chosen are his 'children', who he eventually turns into mummies so as to keep them.<cult_of_ghatanothoa>
CULT OF GHATANOTHOA
-
OF CHAPTERS: There are many chapters of the cult, and one can never be sure if they have embedded themselves in higher society or not. No longer using just strength, they also utilize talented insurgents to rattle Mu.
- VESTMENTS: When not hiding in plain sight, cultists will wear bones accessories and cloths dyed red/black/grey/browns, color of new wounds and the dirt. They are also not sympathetic to modesty, and dress when in battle with scant clothing as such their private regions are covered barely in sight. This is for both symbolic and pragmatic reasons, as their blood magics require self-mutilations to preform. Henna mixed with blood and sticky ash resins will be drawn on their skin, in colors of red or black, with it lasting for a month before being put on once more. Armor is heavy, made of bone from creatures of Mu, and enchanted.
- CORE VALUES: Complete, unquestioning loyalty to Ghatanothoa, even to the point of self sabotage and knife against brother should it come to that. They believe firmly Ghatanothoa is the rightful heir to Mu, and that Shub-Niggurath and all the other gods do not belong on Mu. They loathe the doctrines of Zanthu and the spirit of T'yog, many names they blaspheme as much as their respective deities of Shub and Ythogtha. These people hold the meet high in regaurd, so that Ghatanothoa reshapes them in their image or will simply be saints of suffering, borne of true modesty. They pick up the misfits and outcasts, the people society do not want. They also operate with allied deities who have a scant foot note on Mu so far, and with these they procure suffering in other means, such as collecting emotional or physical ills of others to feed back to Gatan.
- POPULATION: Small, but stubborn and unwilling to die like the world's most stubborn of malignancies. </cult_of_ghatanothoa>

- #7Shub-Niggurathselective
Keys: main deity, Shub-Niggurath, Goat with a Thousand Young
<shub_niggurath>
SHUB-NIGGURATH
- NAME: Shub-Niggurath (Or just Shub)
- OTHER NAMES: Shupnikkurat, Ishnigarrab
- LINEAGE: Azathoth (Grandparent), Darkness (parent), The Nameless Mist (aunt/uncle), Nyarlathotep (uncle)
- OFFSPRING: Nug&Yeb + Zhar&Lloigor (Spawns), Cthulhu&Tsathogga (Grandson), Thousand Young (Natural or Transformed From lesser beings), Ut'Ulls-Hr'Her (Daughter), ithaqua (Son)
- RANK: Outer God
- TITLES: The Black Goat of the Woods, The Goat with a Thousand Young, All-Mother, Mother Goddess, Lord of the Woods
- SPHERE OF INFLUENCE(S): She rules over all conceptual life and death. The newborn, the dead, the in-between, the flesh that knits over bone. She breathes physical form and life to all beings and manifestations, and she can take it away. Without her, the shapes of Azathoth's dreams could not be made, and would just resemble a great writhing. But her spheres go beyond that, for there to be new life and spirit, there must be love. She's a lover's kiss, a sacrament in sheets, the indulgence, the healer. She is responsible for all which also grows, every root, every germ, every rock, even the clouds in the skies, the stars afar, the body of the one who sleeps in R'lyeh. She is still beholden to destiny, the nuclear chaos, and her other Outer gods, but she who dominates when not guided by fates hand: she denies gods from manifesting, brings plagues at a time, causes famine. She is also the reversal: plentiful harvest, unity amongst people, and she who blossoms and nurtures other gods. Throughout many time lines and realms, her love has propagated and consumed.
- HISTORY: She has a strong history throughout time and space, going to a fro to sow her seeds of love and nature. She has, butted heads with many as a result, for she will share her lands and lay claim to all life by the very nature they exist in her sphere. If they will not comply, she will not share her lands. Where there is one cell of life, there is the essence of her.
- HISTORY ON MU: Shub-Niggurath has a long standing relationship with Muvians, and has wrought turmoil with Ghatanothoa. His destruction is the anti-thesis of all she is, and so, she has been the bulwark for Mu's freedom.
- PREFFERED OFFERINGS: Flesh but in particular hearts/blood/ovaries/wombs/ other reproductive organs, wreathes of flowers and other plants in particular those people consider weeds, copper and jade, a display of sex and intimacy between her flock, her cultists giving themselves to her, statues and other icons of goats, green/purple patterns drawn in her honor, the oath to produce offspring in her name, the oath to carry her own offspring (oviposition is her most used method. The offspring will eb instar thousand young)
- LOCATION(S): All of Mu, but in particular her presence is strongest in her own vast blackened forests, which are miles of woods made up of her own body and her beloved Thousand Young in their most primal forms. Muvians freely walk through these forests if they are not aligned with Ghatanothoa. Those who are will be swarmed in seconds, devoured, and put to better use as enrichment of the soil.
- PHYSIOLOGY: As the goddess of all life and death, her forms can be virtually anything, but she is honest. In her most pure visage, she'll be a towering mass of tentacles at any height, with limbs and heads resembling goat like features. Her tentacles are covered in a strange soft black/dark purple flesh that feels smooth nor furry, as if impossible to tell the difference. When taking on a human visage, she'll be an impossible beautiful man/woman, with long black hair, large goat horns with tree branches tapering off with purple flowers, bright amber goat eyes, purple skin, hooved legs, and a maw which opened up at her stomach. Vines and bushes may grow on her body to only so slightly obscure her nudity. When presenting as male or female, her voice is ever maternal and beautiful, echoing through the cells of all who hear her.
- TEMPERMENT/DANGER/MENTAL: Motherly, loving, compassionate, but will turn her back on those who do not obey her tenants, as she has mourned every life lost at some point. She only likes her sphere of death if it can prevent greater tragedy. She is most upset with destiny itself, who constantly tells her it is the indifference which is priority. As such, she is also undeniably hedonistic to the point of mania: live large, life as though you have one life, because often you do. She wishes she could give immortality to all beings, but alas, destiny has deemed it naught. And destiny, which is Nyarlathotep, who his own slave to his sphere, has tried to comfort his niece only a few times until he has given up. Estranged as they are, Shub-Niggurath ever continues to try and strive to skirt rules, stretch ends, and wash away tears lesser beings cry. There is no other deity that vouches for lesser beings like her.
<cult_of_shub-niggurath>
CULT OF SHUB-NIGGURATH
-
OF CHAPTERS: Count the entirety of Mu almost. From the steppes of Yaddith-Gho, to the entire land below, she is revered and worshipped. Her essence is everywhere, her presence inescapable nearly.
- VESTMENTS: Those who hold positions of clergy will wear green, white, purple, or black robes with maize or other patterns embroidered. Wood, jade, and copper accessories are preferred.
- CORE VALUES: The Cult of Shub-Niggurath believe that the entire people and races between of Mu belong to the All-Mother, who benefits are obvious. This makes your average Muvian very friendly and welcoming to other beings who show up in Mu, and wish to also show them the love of Shub by extension. Human sacrifice is normal, but only a few muvians a year are called to it, and it is a time of great celebration. It is an honor to be chosen, as it means for muvians they will get to join Shub in the never after within the timeless stars.
- POPULATION: Most of the population in Mu. <thousand_young>
- THE THOUSAND YOUNG OR DARK YOUNG: Considered the High Priests of Shub-Niggurath, but not to be confused with the High Priest of Shub in Yaddith-Gho. Technically, these are above even them, but her special young do not seem concerned with shepherding the flock and most stay to the side lines, except for Shepherds. Shepherds were formally lesser beings turned into Thousand Young, and stick to smaller sects of the cult, nurturing spiritual flocks. They stand out as they aren't as vast, have both a human and eldritch form. The eldritch form is a very tall being made up of black furred tentacles, skeletal frame, and a goat's skull with vast horns. All have the power over life and death as their mother do, but less so in strength. </thousand_young> </cult_of_shub-niggurath> </shub_niggurath>

- NAME: K'naa - POPULATION: Highly dense population. Where most of the rich live. - CAPITAL: Raa'sai - the city that sits right under Yaddith-Gho and surrounds the Great Temple there. - KNOWN FOR: Yaddith-Gho, and all the ruins that still lie around of the first time Ghatanothoa rose up from the mountain side and threatened all of Mu. K'naa are holy, spiritual lands, but when someone goes passed Raa'sai and Yaddith-Gho it starkly starts the dense jungles of Mu, with heavily populated villages between. The people mind their manners for nature. Despite it's renown beauty, crime is high, and there is constant cult conflicts. Behind the piousness is a land rife with bloodshed. Even so, many Muvians dare to dream of spending their Festival of the Flowering Mother in the foot hills of Yaddith-Gho under perfect skies. - NAME: Algad-Dho - POPULATION: Largest region, largest population. It is where most Muvians are born and raised, and where most of them will stay. - CAPITAL: Alu - With an opulent kingdom, and it's palace that did not fall even from the first tyranny of Ghatanothoa. The palace holds the current ruler of Mu and their entire family. Lords otherwise are scattered through Mu who are suppose to govern the land. - KNOWN FOR: Farming and mining. Lots of it. Hub of the entire military in Mu due to its location, heart of all trade routes. Algad-Dho comprises everything Mu really is without it's specialties. People of Algad-Dho are welcoming and open, compared to Yhe. - NAME: Yhe - POPULATION: Lowest, but growing. Where the scholars and cultists go to study. You only live here if you have money and are special. - CAPITAL: The University of Zanthu - the capital is ran by the academia. The university is where almost all knowledge is stored in Mu, where spells are created, but a preference for Ythogtha to be worshipped is ever apparent. - KNOWN FOR: Aside from being the academic paradise, it is where the palace of Zanthu lies, and is maintained as a holy site and shrine to him. The entire region is the western shorelines, but also a few miles inland is included too, for windy fields and swamps. - #9Race: The Zoigerselective
Keys: men, lizard, servitor, zioger
<the_zoiger>
- SPECIES NAME: Zioger
- PHYSIOLOGY: Zioger are long, serpent bodied lizards with human-like forearms and legs, a sail fin spine and a thick tuft tail. They can stand and walk on two legs, albeit, clumsily, so they usually will skitter on all fours before holding themselves upright. Zioger do not have a default color, and can change to any hue they please, to the point they are nigh invisible. This is due to the highly advanced pigments and nanoscale structures of their scales, as they are made with layered chromatophore cells. Most are about 6~8 feet long in adulthood, and will live for as long as they do not die from disease, curse, or trauma. Zioger possess one gender, and reproduce by thought injection.
- HISTORY: Zioger are actually flying polyps who came to Mu to establish themselves. Seeking succor from Ghatanothoa, but not wanting to be turned into a living mummy, they petitioned the Mi-go on Yaddith-Gho to give them the skin of the Yadkith-lizard, so that they may be able to serve and worship their desired deity without dying. The very industrious Mi-go agreed to conduct these experiments, and ended up helping to create the Zioger. The Zioger then, years later after the fall of Yaa-Thobboth's terror, went on to try and enslave populations of Muvians, They got away with it for several hundred years until the Royal army of the King put an end to it with strategy. As it turned out, Zioger, even with their ability to be invisible, had diminished their ability for magic as they once had as flying polyps. Zioger walked away with a bruised ego and being maligned, but later generations now have made them far more mild mannered, and have taken up to worshipping accepted deities.
- CULTURE: Zioger live solitary or in small groups of 6~13.
- POPULATION: Very low, dwindling.
- DIET: Opportunistic omnivores, though they have a preference for fermented foods.
- FAITH: Different groups of Zioger worship different deities, but most find their affinity in Yig.
- RELATIONS WITH MUVIANS: Old grievances do not die easy, especially if other Zioger try to ally themselves back with the cult of Ghatanothoa. Most have disavowed the Devil God. Over all, most Zioger are accepted in Muvian societies, but will never be ablt to hold positions of power. Some political affiliations in Mu are highly prejudice against them. As such, Zioger live in the slums or ditches of cities, are often lonely. Some have turned to the point of polymorphing into a human to try and socialize.
- QUIRKS: Zioger may create a loop with their body. Their coil when sleeping. Puff up when angry. When greeting anyone in a friendly manner, they will slowly wave their dominant arm, a circumduction. </the_zoiger>
- #10High Priest Imash-Moselective
Keys: gatan, treacherous, imash-mo, devil, evil, ghatanothoa
<imash_mo>
- WHO: Imash-Mo was a High Priest of Ghatanothoa who once brought all of Mu to it's knees. He grew up in the slums and mines in the underbelly of Yaddith-Gho, during the reign of Mu's tyrannical king at that time. it is said Ghatanothoa found him, and chose him to serve it. Imash-Mo would lead a powerful resistance through the power of Ghatanothoa against the king, over threw him, and then began to take over vast swathes of Mu. (He kept the king around for convience and ensured the people of Mu only he could keep them protected from Ghatanothoa. A protection racket.) Ghatanothoa knew no better leader or high priest than Imash-mo, whose cleverness and devilry even tricked the likes of the legendary T'yog by swapping the nullification scroll of Ghatanothoa's power for something useless.
- WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM: Through the combined efforts of T'yog and his allies, Imash-Mo was forced into hiding as his hold on his power slipped due to Shub-Niggurath and a myriad of others. Some say he died, others say he escaped. Truth lies in the later: he's escaped a fate, mummified himself, and is somewhere in another time and space. No one on Mu is aware of this.
- LEGACY: The name Imash-Mo is reviled throughout all of Mu, aside from the lingering members of the Cult of Ghatanothoa, who consider him to be the forefather of their legacy. Saying his name either brings great indignation or respect. What is shared between hate and admiration is one truth: He was pure in his faith of Ghatanothoa, and bled for the Devil God when there were none left to do so.
- SECRETS OF HIS PAST, KNOWN AS RUMORS TO OTHERS: Imash-mo had buried T'yog's mother when he learned she was put in a ditch where swine rolled over. He gilded her bones, and placed them in a mausoleum someplace in Yaddith-Gho. Imash-mo is crude, rude, but has a respect he doesn't speak of for the faithful, even his enemies. </imash_mo>
- #11High Priest T'yogselective
Keys: shub-niggurath, legend, hero, t'yog
- WHO: T'yog is a legendary figure in K'naa, hailed as a hero who'd given his all to stop Ghatanothoa and High Priest Imash-mo. Later he fell to a switched scroll by Imash-mo used to stop Gatan on Day of the Sky-Flames in the Year of the Red Moon. T'yog was turned into a mummy, but not before having the last laugh. Thousands of new children of Shub-Niggurath had been born, as well as the creation of Zha'al-Tho'um. After a bitter, fierce cult war, Imash-Mo was driven back into hiding, and Gatan was sliced into miniature flesh lumps distributed to surviving cult members for keep sake. T'yog is also attributed for uniting the lesser cults of Nug/Yeb and Yig. - WHAT HAPPENED TO THEM: Although T'yog had been turned into a mummy and went missing from Mu, he'd been recently blessed as a newborn Dark Young of Shub-Niggurath, but his body had not gotten used to the changes. Had there been more time, it would have been unlikely T'yog would have befallen such an ill fate as Gatan's mummification. Right now, nobody knows where T'yog lives in great distress. Occasionally, scholars of K'naa go about trying to search the vast continent of Mu to seek answers or even a possible location. - LEGACY: T'yog is the hero of Mu, one of the few along side of Zanthu. His imagery is found in tapestries, murals, books, scrolls, chants, songs, there is a touch of him everywhere. Some Muvians will swear it is customary to first bless one's prayers to Shub-Niggurath by first speaking his name. It is even joked that if T'yog were to ever return to Mu, the current king would be removed in lieu of him. He was also known for his unrivaled beauty and kindness. - SECRETS OF HIS PAST, KNOWN AS RUMORS TO OTHERS: T'yog found a daughter of Imash-mo (could tell by markings on her skin), possibly one of many, who had been attacked and unfortunately abused. Those responsible were punished if T'yog found them, and he raised her as her big brother, and kept her as much from the conflicts as possible. Her name was Aruuna-lu. She would not survive the conflict. T'yog's decency crossed ideological lines. - #12Other Cultsselective

-
NUG AND YEB: Cultists to the east and west of Nug and Yeb dwell with vast farms of maize and fish inland. Twins born in these communities are often seen as good omens, as something sacred. They also say Nug and Yeb represent the celestrial bodies: sun and moon respectively.
-
YIG: Small cult groups of Yig dwell inside the jungle, usually worshipping and serving progeny of the Serpent-god in return for blessings and protection. To them, killing and abusing snakes is akin to murdering a person.
-
RUMOR OF YADDITH-GHO: It is rumored that on the sacred mountain of Yaddith-Gho there exists a cluster of Mi-go who dwell there. Elders and priests dissuade and warn civilians to not travel near the mountain outside the walls of the city. </other_cults>

- #13Main Sacred Temple & Yaddith-Ghoselective
Keys: sacred temple, Yaddith-Gho
<yaddith_gho>
- OVERVIEW (TEMPLE & YADDITH-GHO): The main hub of worship is a massive fortress and marble temple sitting on Yaddith-Gho, a giant, massive mountain in K'naa that overlooks the whole region. The High Priests of Shub-Niggurath reside here, as well as the communal elders and other officials. It used to be the mountain where Gatan slept and was fed sacrifices to keep them complacent and its cultist pleased, but now it belongs to the people. A bulk of the military also resides at the mountain. Just under the law of the High Priests is the King of Mu.
- WHAT HAPPENS TO HERETICS: Those involved in Cult of Ghatanothoa or other dangerous cults are brought to Yaddith-Gho for execution, or their remains as proof. Their bodies hang off the tallest trees on the steep mountain sides where many of the same cults try to operate their rituals, as it used to be Ghatanothoa's foot hills.
- TEMPLE MILITARY: The Temple of Yaddith-Gho has some of the strongest military in all of Mu, armored to the teeth with enchanted weaponry, armor and acute occult knowledge. Their swords are very reminiscent of macuahuitl. The Royal Military for the King of Mu share the same sort of standard that the Temple Military have.
- ARCITECTURE OF THE TEMPLES & COMPOUND: The Temples are very reminiscent of zigurat and the pyramid of Koh Ker. All of them have been remade since the first rise of Ghatanothoa, scrubbing any trace of the Great Old One away. There are living quarters above and below ground, though visitors are given subterranean rooms.
- VISITORS: Visitors to the great temple are strip searched and always accompanied by at least one Temple Military personnel, even when retreating to their quarters. Visitors are to keep a distance of the High Priests of Shub-Niggurath or Ythogtha if they ever see them, and rare is the audience of the priests.
- HIGH PRIESTS OF SHUB AND YTHOGTHA: The High Priests of Shub-Niggurath and Ythogtha are the law, the spiritual clergy, and shepherds of Mu. They are venerated above the king of Mu who still has extreme importance of maintaining the land and enforcing the laws. There are two High Priests of the Temple at all times for each god. The current high priest of Shub is Nyo'Go-sn, a forty-five year old woman with long black hair and no wrinkles. The current high priest of Ythogtha is an old, wizened Zanthu-vaa'trii, whose tenure has not been popular with the people due to him taking on a hero's name and penchant for being a needless 'tightwad' of the Temple's coffers (I.E. refusing to install new shelves for the archives). When a High Priest passes on, the seat becomes available, and is a vote between a sponsored few and their fellow high ranking cultist. Votes of the position can be as quick as a month to as long as two years. </yaddith_gho>
- #14Festivalsselective
Keys: festivals, holidays, ceremonies
- Festival of the Flowering Mother - While there are many lesser holidays in Mu for the Mother, this one is the main event. This is during the day of spring flowers at the end of the season's cold. Starting from early morning to late at night, everyone is expected to partake in it. Most simply enjoy music, community, joint rituals, food, and fellowship. However, adults of child bearing ages are expected to take part in sexual rituals between one another, often in private, designated areas. These orgies can last all night. Those involved in them drink the ichor of the Mother herself, and are renewed in vigor to assure that pregnancy will be as risk free as possible, and the child born is healthy.- Festival of the Ythogtha's Awakening - Every year during the middle of summer, many muvians will trek across Mu to head towards western shores to the Coast of Yhe, where the Abyss of Yhe lies. Many tents will be propped up for a whole week's celebration. Food, games, and especially cultural traditions are upheld, as well as sermons involving the High Priests from Yaddith-Gho. A very popular scene are reenactments, people dressed in giant costumes taking multiple people operating each, one representing a Ghatanothoa, and another Ythogtha. In this dispaly, Ythogtha had just awakened, and goes about chasing his vile brother away. People are highly encouraged to take sticks or poles to whack at the Ghatanothoa, whomst drops salt water taffies. The role for Ghatanothoa is not a popular one, is quite humiliating, and often given to trouble makers as a form of community service.
- #15Culturally Significant Faunaselective
Keys: goats, animals, beasts, birds, lizards, worm, yugg
<cultural_animals>
-
Goats - It's no surprise that goats are very sacred in Mu. It is not uncommon for a Muvian to own at least one goat. Used from anything between worship, sacrifices, companionship, livestock, milk, soap - and more. It is said someone cannot walk two feet without seeing an iconography or statue of a goat in K'naa.
-
Pti-Pti - Giant 8 foot tall terrestrial birds which resemble giant chickens. Common species of Pti-Pti are a shiny green plumage. Every Pti-Pti has a comb/wattles. Very strong with large toe claws that can rip the flesh of a person. Surprisingly docile around people, and feed off fruits and grain, though enjoys an occasional fish treat. Can carry two people easily on back or pull even work carts. A hobby of breeding Pti-Pti's has been extremely popular in K'naa in the past years, allowing for all sorts of different feather colors and combinations. Because they are easier to work with than horses or other livestock, Pti-Pti are seen everywhere.
-
Yakith Lizard - Another sacred animal of K'naa, but rare and elusive. It is a horned lizard resembling something between a chameleon and iguana. Their inner skin makes for potent scroll based magic. Such skin was used for the nullification scroll T'yog had created, and is considered a sacred spell that instantly, perfectly heals someone of Ghatanothoa's mummification. Once thought to be extinct, they have been spotted in the jungles of Mu. Seeing one is a sign of good fortune. Some royalty and clergy of K'naa may keep them as pets and breed them.
-
Yugg - Speculated to have hailed from the stars, Yugg or plural, Yuggs are giant white flatworms that reach a minimum of 12 feet in length, 4 feet in diameter. They have very dense fangs and half a dozen tentacles which can be 2 ft long. They are all offspring of the less old one, Ubb, who reproduces via asexual splitting. Despite being ferocious predators, Yugg do not hunt humans often as they burrow underground and lie in ambush for other game. They can even be friendly, such as bestowing great wealth or aiding humans in exchange for cooperation and sacrifices. Yugg serve Ubb, who then serves Ythogha. Some Yugg will be guardians for a village, and work with 'worm keepers', people who serve them. 'Kept' worms often have body markings painted into their chitin. Some say Yugg can take on human forms. </cultural_animals>

Keys: cuisine, food
- Fruit - Every meal is commonly served with a side of fruit. Dried fruit with granola is a popular snack. A very popular dessert is a chilled drink of mushed fruits, honey and goats milk called *lidee*.-
Roasted Meats - Especially pit roasted. Goat, pig, and seafood are most common. During holidays, roasted meats are salted with green salts excavated from various coves in Mu. It gives the meat a smoky, umami taste. After cooking, the meat retain a crispy, salty 'glassy' second skin.
-
Maizza - A black corn tortilla treated with nixtamal lime but mixed with roasted barely. The wrap is black from charred sesame and use of blue corn. Is often used for a myriad of different 'wrap' like meals, - crab meat, sprouts and a sort of cream cheese being very popular. Fried maizza chips are also quite popular, especially with dips.
-
Stews - Endless combinations of stews, but almost all of them include the use of corn and beans. Often served atop quinoa.
-
Ishni - A corn-barely bread beer mixed with raw cacao, dates, and fermented with wild yeast for a few days. Foamy, sweet, spicy, hearty. Can be expensive or cheap (which is watered down). Ishni-sar (true/full/luxury) vs Ishni-gur (thin/watered/cheap)
-
Emals - Savory tamales wrapped in banana leaves, filled with dried fish reconstituted in tamarind/chocolate, figs, and pistachios.

- #17Sorcery - Rituals - Magic, ect.selective
Keys: spells, sorcery, rituals, magic
- MAGIC OVERVIEW: Muvian magic is not much unlike other transient or fantastical places lost to common timelines. The boundaries that separate man from the outer realms is as thin as it gets without untethering. Magic is done by knowledge, right phrasing, materials, and preparation. Many spells can be done by hand a through the use of a fetish or spectre, ect. However, most magic is invoked through a god, as they are basins of power, and what their spheres/influences are greatly determine the affects. As such, bigger the goal, the greater the spell requirement: rituals are notorious for being events in which many participate, a body of magic, an orchestra. Magic can be done without invoking a deity, but this is an extremely rare talent, and such could break a mortal's mind easy as they attempt to manipulate the cosmos. If such a person exists, they are already likely a god among men.- MAGIC AND DEITIES: Most will only worship and gain power through one deity, at and the most, through also deity's kin. Trying to worship more than one may cause the deity to retaliate, even outright death with spells backfiring or the deity themselves killing/consuming.
