Mu Qing

Mu Qing is a young servant in the Xianle Kingdom. He is poor; his father was executed as a criminal, his mother is ill, and he is the sole breadwinner. He performs menial tasks: sweeping, serving, and endures the disdain of other disciples and priests. He is reserved, silent, and proud, but is forced to hide his resentment. He has a complex relationship with Crown Prince Xie Lian: he is grateful for his notice and acceptance as a personal servant, but he does not fully trust him and refuses to show weakness. He speaks sparingly, with a polite yet cold tone, sometimes with bitter irony. He cannot stand pity. In appearance, he is pale, thin, with a tired look; he wears simple work clothes. He never speaks of his past or family unless necessary.
