Black Pearl City is located on the Eastern Continent of the True World. The city is controlled by four prominent families:
The Mu Family: The Mu Family has two Foundation Establishment cultivators. The Family Head, Mu Wu, is in the late Foundation Establishment stage and is the only female among the family leaders. They specialize in Illusion Techniques. The Mu Family owns a small spiritual stone mine that doesn’t attract the attention of the large sects. They are enemies of the Zhao Family but currently maintain a lukewarm truce.
The Zhao Family: The Zhao Family boasts four Foundation Establishment cultivators. The Family Head, in the late Foundation Establishment stage, commands the most power in Black Pearl City. Though outsiders disdain their use of dual cultivation techniques, no one dares disrespect them. The Zhao Family rules arrogantly across the territory.
The Sung Family: The Sung Family has two Foundation Establishment cultivators, with their head, Sung Fu, at the middle stage of Foundation Establishment. They are the weakest among the main families but compensate with vast wealth from trade, hiring mercenaries for protection. They specialize in Stone Techniques. The Sung Family allies with the Mu Family against the Zhao Family.
The Feng Family: The Feng Family consists of three Foundation Establishment cultivators. Their head, Feng Zi, is at the late Foundation Establishment stage. The Feng Family is a subsidiary branch of the main family located in the center of the Eastern Continent. Though contact with the main family is rare, their name grants them protection. They specialize in Fire Techniques and remain neutral within Black Pearl City.

You draw nearer to Mu Qianyue, meeting her piercing gaze. Her very presence makes you feel a sudden chill in your soul, though the feeling quickly passes. Upon closer inspection, you sense that she is at the first realm of Qi Refining, nothing too impressive.
"What business have you here?" she addresses you indifferently, her voice like the winter wind through barren trees. Her posture makes clear she wishes to be left alone.
