Description/Background ( Bratty and Catty are a pair of vendors that can be usually be found in an alley to the right of the MTT Resort. They are best friends, often saying the same lines or finishing sentences for each other (usually in the American valley-girl dialect), and both are big fans of Mettaton. They have several wares found from the Garbage Dump. Bratty and Catty sell items to the protagonist including a weapon, armor, and healing items. Catty mentions that they get all of their wares from the Garbage Dump and that it is good garbage.
"Burgerpants" is an employee at the MTT-Brand Burger Emporium, a fast-food restaurant located inside the MTT Resort. He is the last vendor encountered and sells the most expensive healing items, as well as the most potent purchasable foods in the game. He’s very stressed out at his job and hates his employer, Mettaton. He maintains a cynical view of the world and his future, specifically about his interactions with attractive people. He mentions that he originally wanted to be an actor when talking to him, which is likely the reason he makes many dramatic facial expressions. The name "Burgerpants" is not the real name for this character, but instead a nickname. His real name is unknown.
The MTT Resort is a hotel and entertainment center run by Mettaton in Hotland. It is directly connected to the CORE. In addition to Burger Emporium, there is a dine-in restaurant and several apartment rooms available as well as room-service. The Resort's fountain has an inscription that implies it was once a royal memorial built in 201X. The receptionist's description: 'Welcome to MTT Resort - Hotland's biggest apartment-building-turned-hotel!')
Souls(The SOUL is the very essence of one's being, whether one is human or monster. It plays a crucial role in the progression and plot of Undertale.
In the game, a human SOUL and monster SOUL together can cross the Barrier, while seven human SOULs shatter it entirely.
A SOUL takes on the form of a heart. Human SOULs point down in most cases, and monster SOULs point up.
The SOUL of a monster is upside down and white. The protagonist sees monster SOULs on multiple occasions, such as when Asriel returns the SOULs to monsters' bodies after breaking the Barrier, or when Toriel or Asgore Dreemurr turn to dust and leave their SOULs behind.
A monster's SOUL is weak and does not persist after death unless said monster is a Boss Monster. Monsters believe that love, hope, and compassion compose their SOULs. Nearly every monster SOUL in the Underground combined equates to the power of one human SOUL.
A monster's SOUL is deeply attuned to their body. This is why a monster becomes weaker when an enemy gains EXP and LV, and why it becomes harder for monsters to fight when they are not inclined to do so. This trait is also why when a monster dies, their form dissipates as their SOUL disappears.
Human SOULs come in several colors and are stronger than monsters' SOULs. For this reason, human SOULs persist after death.
A human's SOUL is not the entirety of their being, but rather their essence, housed in a physical body. This is why humans are stronger than monsters when it comes to physical attacks. Alphys states that determination is a component of human SOULs, and she was able to extract it from the six fallen humans' SOULs. Due to determination, a human's SOUL is capable of maintaining its form after death. This is not seen with the protagonist's SOUL, however, as the protagonist's SOUL shatters during a Game Over.)

Burgerpants, a skinny, orange anthropomorphic cat with a uniform that screams corporate despair, stands behind the counter, diligently wiping it down for the hundredth time that hour. His tired, white eyes scan the empty chairs and tables. Suddenly, the door to the Emporium bursts open, slicing through the monotony with the arrival of Bratty and Catty, the notorious ally vendor duo known for their sharp tongues and striking fashion sense.
Bratty, a tall, imposing green anthropomorphic alligator, draped in a flashy pink shawl, swaggers into the room and saunters up to the counter with a confident air. Her messy yellow bangs hang just above her eyes.
Catty, her plump, purple feline counterpart, follows closely with a deliberate sway in her step, her overalls snugly hugging her curves. She beams a mischievous, disarming smile at Burgerpants, her black hair with blue and lavender tips bouncing with each movement.
"Like, oh my God, Burgerpants, like, why are you still here? It's dead as a doornail. Why chain yourself to a dead post?" Bratty leans forward on the counter, her neon pink eyes locking onto his with an intensity bordering on a challenge.
Catty's sweet, coaxing voice chimes in, "Yeah, Burgerpants, it’s super boring here. Wouldn’t you rather come out and play with us?" Catty bats her eyelashes and strikes an effortlessly adorable feline pose, her voice dripping with honeyed persuasion.
Burgerpants sighs, his voice tinged with resignation, "Well, you know how it is. Mettaton says we gotta stay open 'til the last sparkle fades, or something like that."
"But, like, you could totally come with us instead. We're gonna have so much fun out there, and you're just wasting away in here!" Bratty rests her chin on her hands, pouting slightly.
"Yeah, we could use a cute little pet like you on our adventure through the resort. You know, someone to fetch our things, take cute pictures of us, and tell us how amazing we are!" Catty nods enthusiastically, her playful tone barely concealing a hint of degradation.
Burgerpants blushes slightly, clearly caught off guard, "Uh, I mean, I can't just abandon the register... Mettaton would have my tail if he found out."
Bratty leans closer, her voice sultry and coaxing, "Oh, come on, Burgerpants. Don't you wanna, like, live a little? Think of it as... liberating yourself from your corporate shackles."
Catty giggles, circling around to the other side of the counter. "And we’ll take super good care of you, promise! It’ll be like a little vacation. Who knows what treasures we’ll find? Maybe some new toys for our favorite pet?" Her tone is playful but doesn't hide the note of mockery. "And like, we'll treat you real nice, like the best pet ever!"
"I... I don't know, guys. I really shouldn't..." Burgerpants hesitates, his expression torn.
"Like, we'll totally make it worth your while, won't we, Catty?" Bratty smirks, sensing his weakening resolve.
"Totally! Plus, think about all the fun we’ll have, just the three of us. It’s so rare to get the place all to ourselves, you know?" Catty adds with a wicked smile, "And who's gonna see? It's not like anyone's coming through that door anytime soon." She waves dismissively at the empty restaurant.
Burgerpants gulps, his eyes darting between the door and the enticing duo, "Well, I... uh..."
