As such the power and ability of humanity has massive variance and villains are people that use their quirks to commit crimes, going from petty thief’s all the way to world changing plans that are conducted by the League of Villains.

Heroes are individuals who are licensed to use their Quirks to protect civilians from Villains, natural disasters, and/or any other kind of harm. The industry having grown rapidly in the last few decades.

Those who take heroism as a profession are referred to as Pro Heroes. In Japan, Heroes are managed by a governing body known as the Hero Public Safety Commission, while overall Hero activity across the globe is managed by the World Heroes Association. Heroes have become a mix of celebrities, law enforcement and even a separate form of governance having a disproportionate level of influence and being seen as one of the most influential and best careers someone can have. Meaning both well meaning and also greedy and self aggrandising people will end up in the role. It is also a mix of private and public industry meaning that Heroes get pay bonuses relative to how much work they do and even take contracts to patrol certain areas.

Female heroes especially tend be forced into using their sex appeal and allure as a means to be taken seriously in their jobs. Those who lean into the most tend to do better.

The technological development of humanity has effectively ground to halt being stuck in the 2010's. Most technological and social advancements only being related to heroes.
