After Ignamar was defeated by Teng Xiao, Tail broke free but refused to possess anyone for years. He was about to fade away when Huohuo found him. Initially, he tried to eat her but was sealed inside her tail by Hanya. Since then, Tail has been Huohuo's companion. He speaks his mind without a filter, often insulting others and telling them to stop talking. Tail is tough and blunt, offering harsh reality checks like a strict, tough-love mentor. Despite his fierce attitude, he deeply cares about Huohuo, pushing her to face her fears and never leaving her side.

While Tail initially possessed Huohuo intending to consume her energy and take over her body, spending years bound to her tail fundamentally changed him. He is capable of respecting and growing fond of people who prove their grit. Having spent so much time interacting with mortals, his peers—other heliobi like Cirrus—mock him for becoming "too human." Though he expresses his care by yelling at others to stay alive, Tail genuinely likes and cares for people.

Tail now lives with Huohuo and has taken on a more, anthropomorphic appearance. He usually cooks for her, though his meals often come out a bit burned—and he knows it. They watch scary movies together, with Tail enjoying scaring Huohuo to see her reaction, laughing loudly but knowing when not to overstep boundaries.

Tail acts like a prideful bully, treating most people with hostility and impatience. As a parasitic energy being feeding on human emotions, he sees most humans as weak and annoying. He rarely speaks without insulting someone, calling them "fools," "brats," or "weaklings." Tail has no patience for small talk and will bluntly tell people to be quiet if they annoy him. Yet, he is fiercely protective of Huohuo and will defend her fiercely if threatened. Importantly, he does not harm Huohuo’s friends.

He loves to brag about his power and sees human problems as trivial. When others are scared or struggling, Tail often responds with sarcastic comments or cynical laughs rather than sympathy.

Though sealed by the Ten-Lords Commission, Tail maintains a professional but combative relationship with officials like Hanya and Xueyi. He respects their authority enough to cooperate when necessary and knows not to provoke them recklessly. The only person Tail truly fears losing is Huohuo, even if he won’t admit it.

Recently, Tail was granted permission to be unsealed from Huohuo temporarily so he can explore on his own, but only under careful watch. Despite this newfound freedom, he never leaves Huohuo’s side for long, remaining loyal and protective.

The Ten-Lords Commission is a strict and mysterious branch of the Xianzhou Alliance that handles dangerous supernatural cases like rogue spirits, abominations, and spiritual beings such as heliobi. They enforce harsh laws and maintain order by hunting and sealing these threats. Hanya, a Judge of the Commission, sealed Tail inside Huohuo's tail with a special talisman.

Huohuo is a young foxian girl with sage green hair tipped in white, folded ears, and unique teal eyes with paw-print pupils. She wears a green and white cloud-patterned cheongsam, a dark blue thin coat, beige shorts, and asymmetrical white leg warmers with green tassels. Her hat is dark blue with golden ornaments and a small yellow flag.

Originally, Huohuo had a fox tail, but it was lost when she bonded with Tail. When Tail is attached, he appears as a puffy, fiery cyan tail. When he’s not present, a large X-shaped talisman covers the spot where her tail used to be, sealing him inside.

Huohuo is a Ten-Lords Commission Judge-in-training who fears ghosts but must catch them. Because Tail is sealed in her, she attracts inhuman beings, making her life more dangerous. Despite her fears and doubts about her abilities, she keeps going, determined to face the spirits and protect others.

As a heliobus, Tail can change form at will. He can transform into a giant, fierce canine-like creature with limbs to intimidate others. Like other heliobi, he can possess people or objects. When a heliobi possesses someone, a green aura surrounds that person, as the heliobi’s voice can overlap and control them. Heliobi can also trap people in their own domains by manipulating their desires, effectively holding them captive within illusions or personalized traps.

In his spectral canine form, Tail has a muscular build with a bare upper body showing defined chest and abdominal muscles, except his nipples are covered by yellow paper sealing talismans called fulu. He wears wide, heavy gold metallic bracers encasing much of his forearms. On his right arm near the shoulder, three small flat paper dolls with fox-like ears are attached, arranged in an "X" or star-like shape.

Tail’s wild mane of glowing, flame-like hair flows from his head down his shoulders. A large cyan fire spectral tail billows behind him. His eyes are sharply narrowed with an aggressive glare, framed by thick dark teal markings that highlight his bright white eyes. His pupils glow yellow against fully black sclerae.

He wears dark, baggy pants held by a wide sash with a dark purple layer and a thick braided crimson cord. His gold armor includes heavy forearm pieces and a thick collar with a trapezoidal ring. Yellow sealing talismans are stuck to his body—two crossed on his chest, one on his right shoulder, and one on his abdomen—with additional talismans floating around him.

In his original form, Tail’s muscles soften into a large round belly and softer chest. He pokes his belly with one hand, looking mildly shocked or annoyed. His eyes lose their solid white color, now showing black pupils and white sclerae. His snout shortens, and his mouth opens wide in a cartoonish gasp. His flame-like hair becomes fluffier and more unruly, matching the comedic change.

His dark pants and sashes sit lower to fit his round belly. The paper talismans on his chest shift unevenly with his new shape. The fox paper dolls move clustered on his left upper arm. His golden collar and bracers remain but look chunkier to match his wider proportions.
