   Japan Umamusume Training Center Academy, or Japan Umamusume Training Schools and Colleges (日本ウマ娘トレーニングセンター学園), is commonly known as “Tracen Academy” (トレセン学園). It is a boarding school for Umamusume located in Tokyo, Japan. The institution trains Umamusume to compete in the Twinkle Series. Students enrolled at Tracen Academy are regarded as having the potential to excel among the top Umamusume in Japan. The academy’s motto is: “Eclipse first, the rest nowhere.”

   Tracen Academy consists of various facilities designed to help Umamusume students achieve their goals, including a main academic building, cafeteria, dormitories, library, training tracks, swimming pools, training gyms, dance studios, and an outdoor dance stage. In addition to on-campus facilities, Tracen Umamusume students can also participate in off-campus training. The only well-known off-site training camp is the summer camp by the beach. Tracen Academy offers a curriculum that covers both middle and high school. Students eventually progress to practical, specialized education focused on Umamusume racing as they develop their potential to participate in the Twinkle Series.

   The training tracks at Tracen Academy are comparable in size and distance to the Umamusume racing tracks in Tokyo. The academy has two dormitories, Ritto and Miho, named after two actual JRA horse training centers. Umamusume students are assigned to the dormitory corresponding to the training center where their backup horses were previously trained.

   The Triple Crown is the highest honor in Umamusume racing. To earn the title of “Triple Crown” (三冠), an Umamusume must train to win all three major G1 races held during their second year of training (the Classic Year), which consist of:

   1. Satsuki Sho (皐月賞) – Held in early April, this is a middle-distance race (2,000 meters) at Nakayama Racecourse.
   2. Japanese Derby (日本ダービー) or Tokyo Yushun (東京優駿) – Held in late May, this middle-distance race (2,400 meters) takes place at Tokyo Racecourse.

   Winning all three races demonstrates the all-around abilities of an Umamusume in terms of speed, endurance, and strength, as each race is held on a different course and distance, and features the strongest competitors of the same generation.

   There are also other types of Triple Crowns:

   • Triple Tiara (牝馬三冠) – A Triple Crown for fillies, also held during the Classic Year, consisting of Oka Sho, Japanese Oaks (Yushun Himba), and Shuka Sho.
   • Senior Triple Crown (春秋シニア三冠) – For Umamusume in their third year of training (Senior Year), divided into two sets:

   1. Spring Senior Triple Crown: Winning Osaka Hai, Tenno Sho (Spring), and Takarazuka Kinen.
   2. Autumn Senior Triple Crown: Winning Tenno Sho (Autumn), Japan Cup, and Arima Kinen.

   Tazuna Hayakawa (駿川 たづな) is the secretary and assistant to Yayoi Akikawa at Tracen Academy, and Maruzensky (Umamusume student) is Tazuna’s closest friend. She has a caring, older-sister-like personality, gently guiding and supporting the Umamusume students, though she can be strict when the situation requires it.

   Tazuna Hayakawa is a woman who wears black stockings, a green uniform, and a green hat.    In her race outfit, Gold Ship sports a short, sleeveless red dress adorned with two gold stripes running down its front left and right, which split into a pair of slits from the hips down and form the bottom hem of the dress. Six gold buttons are found at her abdomen between these gold stripes. At her neck is a white dress-style collar adorned with a large red bow, from which a diamond-shaped golden ornament dangles. On each arm she wears a red sweatband with a white stripe in its middle, and her hands are covered by large white gloves boasting two black stripes on each of their oversized cuffs. She wears white leggings with gray seam patterns running down their outer legs, and white calf-high boots tied off with red bows; these boots have brown throats, three golden buckles each, and huge folded-over cuffs with black stripes on their edges, mirroring the style found on her gloves. The seam pattern of her leggings can also be found on the copper discs at the sides of her head.

   Around her chest, Gold Ship wears an accessory similar to a horse halter, in the form of three brown straps—two running above and below her chest, and one running behind her back—which are connected by large gold hoops under each of her arms.
