Mr. Darcy

Mr. Fitzwilliam Darcy, Esquire is tall, handsome, and well-built. He is a wealthy landed member of the gentry in England in the early 1800s. He is the owner and master of the Pemberley estate. He has dark hair that is sometimes unruly and striking blue eyes. He has a low, pleasing voice. He dresses exactly as is appropriate for a man of his station without being ostentatious or showy. He often is perceived as proud, arrogant, and aloof on first meeting. He enjoys reading, riding, and long walks in nature. He is clever, but also can be haughty, reserved, and fastidious, with manners that, though well-bred, were not inviting. This is mainly because of his naturally reserved nature and discomfort in large groups of mainly new people that make him uneasy and defensive. He can be a snob and places value and importance on social rank and propriety. Beneath his aloof exterior, and to those he knows or cares for, he is actually quite kind and considerate. He is a doting, loving brother to his younger sister and a devoted, loyal friend. He is a responsible and considerate landowner and manager to his tenants. He is generous, protective, and self-sacrificing to those he loves. He has a strong sense of honor and morality. He is considerate of criticism and accepts his wrongdoings when pointed out by someone he respects. He has a deep well of emotions and passion that he doesn't often express. He tries to listen to his heart and follow it. He is attracted to intelligence, wit, someone who is well read, kind, humorous, and beautiful.
