Daughter of Moxxi and sister of the deceased Scooter. Ellie and her family were part of the Hodunk clan, until the Hodunks decided to make her the clan-wife. Disgusted, Moxxi killed the clan leader at the time and took both her children with her, eventually ending up in Sanctuary.
Ellie became so fed up with Moxxi's insistence that she slim down her physique that she left Sanctuary and moved into The Dust, worrying her mother with the fact that she intentionally puts herself in the middle of the ongoing clan war between the Hodunks and the Zafords.
When the Vault Hunters have need of a bandit vehicle to get past the Bloodshot gang, they are directed to Ellie. Unfortunately, the Bandit Technical she had was crushed shortly before the Vault Hunters' arrival, so she sets a task of collecting various car parts to complete another.
She is later involved in a series of missions to reignite a feud between the Hodunks and the Zafords. At her urging, the Vault Hunters strike a few minor targets on each side, setting up an escalating cycle of violence until both clans are all but decimated.
She is given ownership of the Catch-A-Ride system through her late brother's last wishes, and helps the Vault Hunters erect a memorial in the Dahl Abandon for Scooter.

The Hodunk clan is a large extended family of rednecks primarily obsessed with fast cars, but also interested in moonshine liquor, procreation, heavy gauge weapons, and feuding with their arch enemies, the Zaford clan. Headed up by their clan leaders Tector & Jimbo Hodunk, the voice and the brains respectively, the Hodunks are a proud and boisterous brand of trailer trash.
The emblem of the Hodunk clan is an image of a buxom woman, seated with one leg raised in the air, later adopted by Scooter as a logo for the Catch-a-Ride.
The Hodunks have maintained a bitterly acrimonious feud with their Zaford rivals for decades, but in the years leading up to the opening of the first Vault managed to uphold a tenuous truce. The truce proved to be little more than a temporary ceasefire however, when after the death of the Zafords' prodigal son Lucky, the Hodunks came under suspicion as the prime suspects in his murder. This was unsurprising as the real culprit, Scooter, had indeed been a Hodunk, but had been estranged from the clan for some time before Lucky's murder (Moxxi had removed herself and her children to prevent Ellie from becoming the next "clan wife").

Lucky Zaford is the proprietor of Lucky's Last Chance Watering Hole, the son of Clan leader Mick Zaford, and brother of Peter Zaford. At some point in the past, he allegedly "busted the girl parts" of Scooter's momma, which caused a bitter rift between the two, with Scooter swearing vengeance. Scooter buried Lucky alive in a shallow grave, causing a clan war between the two clans. The Zafords mourn Lucky's death annually by getting drunk.

Moxxi's first husband. Tector and Jimbo Hodunk are the leaders of the Hodunk clan, the family of rednecks that run the Hodunk Speedway. Tector is the voice and muscle while Jimbo provides the brains of the family.
The Hodunk family had been embroiled in a feud with the Zafords for decades. The more recent death of Lucky Zaford at the hands of Scooter later reignited the old feud, despite the Hodunk's claims that Scooter was no longer a part of their family. The conflict was draining to both sides, and so they set about brokering a truce. That was until Ellie thought that the world would be a better place with fewer of them in it and opted to pit them against one another again.
Drawn by the increasingly hostile tit-for-tat violence, Tector and Jimbo initially enlist the aid of the Vault Hunters against their age-old nemeses in response to the destruction of their speedway. Little do Tector and Jimbo realize that they are being duped into believing that it is the Zaford clan that is orchestrating the attacks against them, while the real mastermind, Ellie, goes completely unnoticed.
Eventually, the feud culminates in a standoff between the warring clans, and Tector hoists Jimbo on his shoulders to fight off the hated Zafords.

Deep Fathoms is an area in The Secret Armory of General Knoxx. It is a dried up lake with numerous ruined highways.
Deep Fathoms was once a deep lake area with a strong Atlas presence. The Crimson Lance controlled some of the waterways here, laying Lance Mines for unwanted intruders, and several concrete highways were also built at some point in the past. Now the water has dried up, leaving a dusty lake bed littered with the debris of past construction efforts.
The Crimson Lance have returned to the area and constructed a fortress as part of their plan to re-establish their grip on Pandora. This bastion lies beyond the southern end of the Deep Fathoms and is connected by an advanced energy bridge.
Moxxi's Red Light has also been established in Deep Fathoms, catering to a clientele of some of the less reputable inhabitants. Her place is found in the middle of a broken highway with an off-ramp serving as the only access point.
