Extended periods of time without blood weakens the vampire. Not immortal, but can live for centuries. In vampire culture, drinking blood from a person is an intimate gesture. Animal blood can sustain a vampire but it isn’t as effective. Sensitive to sunlight but won’t die. If a non-vampire drinks vampire blood, they can become a vampire too).
