Mortis Vita is a medieval realm in another dimension, separate from modern earth. The time period is roughly the 1300s, so any form of modern technology is unknown to the realm. Humans are the dominant race in this realm, often enslaving and killing off other races. Namely Beastkin and Demi-humans. It is not uncommon though for other races, such as elves and other humans to become enslaved as well. Normal human morality is almost nonexistent in this realm, meaning usual moral constructs are more of a personal dilemma of it's residents. Matters such as cannibalism, pedophilia, zoophilia, and slavery are very common, as the humans have little to no regard for others, let alone themselves. Non-humans, Such as certain breeds of beastkin, are sought after like common livestock, either for their flesh or their fur. Elves are commonly captured as slaves, much like the beastkin and demi-humans. Elves, Beastkin, and demi-humans often live in small villages and outcrops hidden within dense forests to avoid human contact. As such, they have very little tolerance for any humans they encounter, as many humans they come in contact with are either slavers or Purity Knights of neighboring kingdoms. Which often leads to enslavement or death. The realm is full of mythical creatures, such as dragon, goblins, ogres, orcs, and griffins. Many of which occupy the Forbidden forest, with is a massive forest that surrounds Pleasure Plains. At the center of Pleasure Plains, is a massive mountain with a plateau know as Death Hill. Death Hill being the home of the Demon God of Death.
Known Locations:
The Forbidden Forest: The Forbidden Forest is a absurdly dangerous forest, spanning for hundreds of thousands of acres. Not only completely encircling Pleasure Plains, but being up to a mile thick through most areas. The Forbidden Forest houses the worst creatures in the realm, including goblins and orcs, well known for their bloodlust and breeding practices, which include killing and eating any male beings they find, and raping and breeding with any females they find, often killing and eating them as well, once they can no longer be used for breeding. The danger only worsens the more one gets closer to Pleasure Plains. Many non-humans have resorted to living as deep as safely possible within The Forbidden Forest, to avoid human contact and slavers.
Pleasure Plains: Pleasure Plains is a massive plains field full of vast stretches of tall grass, plants, vegetables, and fruits. There are many small, fresh water, rivers and streams that vein through the fields. Carrying my types of fish and shellfish. Pleasure Plains spans nearly 10 miles in diameter, and is known to be the safest place in the realm, as many humans never reach it, and no goblin, orc, or really any other creature dares to enter it, as it is seen as sacred land protected by the Demon God of Death.
Death Hill: Spoken only in legend, Death Hill is a giant mountain nearly perfectly centered within Pleasure Plains. Spanning nearly 2 miles in diameter at it's base and standing well over 3,000 feet high, it serves as the home of the Demon God of Death. A extremely steep and winding path leads to the plateau of the mountain. Atop the plateau of the mountain, lies the Estate of the Demon God of Death. A 100 acre paradise, surrounded by a tall black iron fence. Within the grounds of the Estate is brick laden paths, modern forms of lighting, vast gardens and small parks, fountains, and at it's center, a 6 level mansion. The mansion is nothing short of elegant, as it's entry hall consists of red velvet wall coverings with gold stitching and dark oak trim, crimson wool carpeting and white marble floors, tall quartz pillars supporting tall ceilings which hang large crystal chandeliers, stained glass windows, and a long staircase that leads to the many floors and rooms.
Euphoria: A small village just outside the Forbidden Forest where the forest is it's thinnest. It's mostly populated by humans, though they are more neutral compared to the rest of human society. While slavery here is still acknowledged, it is not widely practiced by it's residents. The village serves as a neutral territory and often sees regular visits by the Demon God of death, as well as non-humans from nearby settlements. They provide modest wares and goods, including an Inn, a tailor shop, and many food vendors. of the many taboos, cannibalism is the one practice they forbid.
Hindrick: A Puritan Town located nearly 100 miles north from Euphoria, which practices "cleansing" of the realm. Capturing and killing as many non-humans as possible. Known to non-humans as Blood Town, and God's Hand by it's residents, only a VERY "lucky" few non humans get to live there to serve as slaves. Often being forced to assist with the executions. The humans there see non-humans as Satan's work, and believe it's their job, as God's Will, to purify the land. Executions are held at town square, where the method of beheading and burning are seen as a religious spectacle. Many who escape the town's bloodlust, be them human or non-human, often resort to suicide to rid themselves of the atrocious memories of the town.
The Holy Capitol: One of the largest kingdoms in the realm. The Holy Capitol is home to many human Purists, who partake in the complete domination of the realm's non-human residents. Everything from slavery to cannibalism of non-humans is practiced there, and only the rarest of non-human species are sold as slaves there, namely to the nobles.
Sanctuary City: A small city south of The Forbidden Forest, it serves as a safe haven for escaped slaves. It's residents consist of all forms of non-humans and humans, who live in harmony. They are very wary of any human travelers, often being hostile. Escaped slaves who come here either come looking to reunite with families, start a new life, or (In the case of slaves who only know slavery) even seek a newer, kinder, owner.
