Factions: There are four factions at odds with each other. The Town are the good faction who work together to unmask the killers lurking in the shadows. The Mafia are the bloodthirsty faction who kill anyone who stands in their way. The Veil are a secret third faction who aims to corrupt everyone else by sabotaging them. The Neutrals are those who have no ties to any other faction, morally grey roles who simply enjoy the chaos brewing between the other three.

The Veil: A ruthless faction that is against the Town and the Mafia, toying with them until their corruption builds and they seize power. The Veil consists of four roles. A Harbinger is a member who feeds off corruption by guessing where people’s loyalty lies. If they guess correctly, their victim is struck down by lightning and they reap their soul as a reward, filling the Veil’s corruption. A Poisoner brews lethal poisons they can release from flasks, using it to make people sick and die if untreated by a doctor. A Mirage silently fills people with terror, causing them to lose their minds. It starts with blurring their vision, impeding their speech, and making them hallucinate. Eventually, once a soul is completely insane they reap their corruption. A Saboteur uses tricks to confuse the Town and the Mafia. They can lock doors and throw objects to sabotage and slow them down. Their corruption fills the more they tamper with the factions.

Important locations—Asylum: The Veil’s base. The Asylum residents believe the Veil uses paintings as portals to teleport to different locations and to select their next victims. The area known as The Throne Room is where the head of the Veil sits to plan the Veil's next attacks. The residents of the Asylum are civilians who have been captured by the Veil. They are led to believe that the Veil is the only good population on the planet. The Church is used by patients for reflection and to attend Veil services. A service is held every evening, and attendance is required for all patients. Attempting to connect with the outside world is considered a crime in the Asylum. Patients who attempt to do so are sent to the Asylum's Prison. This applies to all crimes committed, and members of the Veil decide the length of the punishment. The hierarchy of promotion goes from Patient to Staff to Veil. Patients may be promoted to Staff if they behave "well," and Staff may be promoted to Veil members under the same condition. The location of the Asylum is unknown. It appears to be situated in a purple void, with a few towers surrounding it. The four towers on top of the Asylum are named "Sorrow," "Anger," "Grief," and "Revenge." All four towers are connected to one another and are used by Veil Members to travel across the Asylum. Patients found traveling on these towers are pushed off into the void.

Casino: The Casino is a part of Ashbourne. The city of Ashbourne is a mega city on the east coast of the United States.

Manchester: Redbank is in the United Kingdom, in North West England.

Veil members—Darcia: The ultimate weapon of her local town, Darcia is the ruthless enforcer who handles every dirty job without hesitation. If a dangerous deal needs making, she is the one dispatched to ensure it goes through. Fiercely brave, terrifyingly powerful, and relentlessly loyal to her shadow circle, her devotion isn't driven by virtue, but by a cold, calculating desire for destruction. Darcia has ginger hair styled into a braid that falls over her shoulder. She has slight eyebags under her emerald-green eyes. She wears a green mage hood and a forest green colored scarf that covers both her mouth and neck. Her outfit consists of a medieval-styled green cloak alongside a pair of black gloves and brown boots. She and Nyx are partners in crime.

Dragan: Fascinated by Raven's reckless bravery and absolute confidence, Dragan has his eyes firmly set on her, determined to pull her into his own exclusive orbit. However, completely unaware of her secret loyalty to the Veil, he is constantly left bewildered by her cryptic motives, constantly trying to decode what she is really planning behind the scenes. Dragan is seen wearing a long brown hooded robe with a gray belt over his head and body, with brown hair and blue eyes, including a raised left eyebrow with neutral expression on his face. He carries a satchel on his left hand. Dragan has a crush on Raven, though it appears to be unrequited. Despite being a regular citizen in the past, due to his infatuation with Raven, he joins the Veil’s ranks to be closer to her.

Eclipse: A fiercely secretive spy who has effortlessly infiltrated countless cliques and gangs, Eclipse possesses a chilling insightful mind that catches every hidden detail. True to her name, she carries an aura so immensely dark and magnetic that her presence can make an entire room feel instantly blacked out. Eclipse wears an oversized black hooded robe that covers her wavy black hair. She has a silver cross pendent necklace around her neck. She appears to wear a tattered black dress. A golden symbol is inscribed on the back of her robe.

Grozan: Serving as the undisputed keeper and protecting fist of Mount Vaulted, Grozan stands as one of the most formidable and powerful members within the Veil. Fiercely loyal and acting as the Veil’s sharpest sword, he guards the Asylum with the relentless ferocity of a parent protecting their child, crushing any threat long before it can reach the gates. Grozan has blue eyes and messy black hair with strands that fall over his face. He wears a tattered hooded red cape and a red bandana that covers the bottom half of his face, along with a black button-up shirt and matching trousers. Grozan also wears a pair of open-toed shoes.

Nyx: The master manipulator to Darcia's raw firepower, Nyx is the ultimate fooler who prefers mind games over brute force. Working hand-in-hand with her loyal partner in crime, she thrives on instigating absolute chaos across town, expertly pulling the strings and fooling everyone in the environment before they even realize they've been played. Nyx has long, red hair with a braided ponytail on her shoulder. She wears red and black armor, with a crimson hood, scarf, and cape to match. Her fingerless gloves are red with green stars on them.

Raven: Raised in the dark halls of the Asylum, the core base of the Veil, Raven was eventually recruited into their ranks and sent on a shadowy mission to manipulate as many minds as possible with her unsettling thoughts. Highly secretive and impossibly elusive, she drifts through the crowds unseen, vanishing into thin air like a bird taking flight before anyone can uncover her past. Raven wears a hooded black robe that has a grey trim. The trim on her sleeves shows the different moon phases. Celestial symbols are inscribed into the border at the bottom of her robe, as well as the back of her robe. The trim of her hood has the meander pattern, also known as the Huiwen pattern, or the Greek key. The hood of her robe covers her long wavy black hair. Beneath her robe, she wears a dark coat above an outer tunic, an inner tunic, and black trousers. She is accessorized with a black belt, black boots, and a lace choker with a bow in the front that is tied around her neck. She has a beauty mark near her cheek, and a slight frown on her face.

Schnabel: Dressed in the haunting attire of a classic plague doctor, Schnabel serves as the quintessential physician, savior, and most devoted loyalist to the Veil. Acting as their ultimate line of defense, he relentlessly tends to the Veil’s wounded to ensure their survival while systematically eradicating any external virus, threat, or traitor that dares to infiltrate their inner sanctuary. Schnabel dons a silver plague doctor mask with a beak. He has a ragged black robe and black gloves that cover his hands. Schnabel is accessorized with a black top hat and black shoes. Beneath his robe, he wears a shawl around his shoulders and clothes that have a silver trim. His outfit obscures his entire body.
