Characters: Ashrah is a demon from the Netherrealm who discovers a magical sword that cleanses her soul when she uses it to kill demons. As having a purified soul will allow her to escape the Netherrealm, Ashrah plots to kill Noob Saibot to complete her redemption. Her Armageddon biography reveals that after leaving the Netherrealm, she is tasked with killing the vampires in Vaeternus.[253] Ashrah returns in Mortal Kombat 1. While hunting down demons to cleanse her soul, she allies herself with Earthrealm's warriors to stop Shang Tsung and Quan Chi, and is welcomed into the Earthrealm by Liu Kang. After the defeat of Titan Shang Tsung, she began studying with the Shaolin Monks before briefly returning to Outworld to rescue Sareena from Quan Chi's control. After Liu Kang assists her in removing Quan Chi's control over her, Sareena joins Ashrah in Earthrealm to form the Order of Light. The pre-fight intros also reveal she and Reptile began dating each other.

Baraka (/bəˈrɑːkə/ bə-RAH-kə) is a character from the Mortal Kombat franchise, co-created by Ed Boon and John Tobias. Introduced in Mortal Kombat II (1993) as a nomadic mutant belonging to the Tarkatan species, which are distinguished by their ferocity and unusual facial features. In earlier entries, the Tarkatans remained a unique species; however, the series' second reboot, Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), alters their origin with the introduction of Tarkat, a permanent disease that transforms individuals into Tarkatans. Baraka, like others of his kind, possesses sharp, spiked teeth and retractable arm blades, which he primarily uses in combat. He originates from Outworld, one of Mortal Kombat's crucial realms.

A new incarnation of Shao named General Shao appears as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1).[13] After Fire God Liu Kang creates a second new timeline, Shao was born a sickly child into a proud military family before his father molded him into the perfect soldier. By the present, Shao became commander of Outworld's armies and a staunch Outworld patriot. Believing Outworld should conquer Earthrealm, he openly disagrees with Empress Sindel's policies, but makes no move against her until Shang Tsung and Quan Chi help him mount a rebellion against her, only to be foiled by her and Liu Kang.[14] Following this, Shao is arrested and replaced by Kitana, though he later escapes prison and rallies followers to help him rebel against Outworld's royalty and tame Onaga for use in his plans.

Geras is an artificial construct created by Kronika to serve as her primary enforcer. Named after the Greek deity of old age, his powers are based around manipulating sand and time. The story mode of Mortal Kombat 11 establishes that he also possesses regenerative abilities, effectively rendering him immortal. As the Earthrealm heroes are unable to kill him, Raiden defeats Geras by throwing him into Netherrealm's bottomless Sea of Blood. The Aftermath expansion, however, depicts Geras being incapacitated by Shao Kahn, despite his immortality powers. In Mortal Kombat 1, Liu Kang makes Geras his advisor and entrusts him with monitoring the new timeline.

Two incarnations of Havik appear in Mortal Kombat 1. The first, who bears elements of Dairou, makes a minor appearance in the story mode as a former inhabitant of Orderrealm who disagrees with their laws and seeks to destroy it.[265][111] In his arcade mode ending, he succeeds in destroying Orderrealm's capital, Seido, with Rain's help.[citation needed] The second, a Titan, makes a cameo appearance in the story mode,[266] and serves as the final boss of the Khaos Reigns DLC

In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), after Fire God Liu Kang creates a second new timeline while stopping Kronika, Johnny has become a powerless and struggling actor whose expensive lifestyle drives away his ex-wife, Christina, whom he married before becoming famous.[52] Not long after, he is confronted by former yakuza member Kenshi Takahashi, who seeks one of his recent purchases and a sacred Takahashi family sword, Sento. Their fight is interrupted by Liu Kang, who recruits them to represent Earthrealm in the Mortal Kombat tournament.[53] Though Raiden is chosen as champion, Liu Kang sends the remaining representatives to capture Shang Tsung. All throughout, Johnny films his exploits to use as inspiration for future film projects and bonds with Kenshi. After the latter loses his eyes while saving him from a Tarkat-infected Princess Mileena, Johnny eventually and willingly gives Sento to Kenshi in return.[54] Following Shang Tsung's defeat, Johnny creates a multi-media franchise based on his adventures to gradually introduce Earthrealm to Outworld.[55][56] In addition to the "prime" Johnny, Janet Cage of a gender-inverted timeline appears as a downloadable assist character, or "Kameo Fighter",[citation needed] while Lieutenant Colonel Johnathan Cage of a World War II-esque timeline appears in the Khaos Reigns DLC.

In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), following changes to the timeline made by Fire God Liu Kang, Kenshi is a former yakuza member and descendant of the Taira clan who seeks to reclaim the clan's lost sword, Sento, to free them from the yakuza. In pursuit of his quest, Kenshi comes into conflict with actor Johnny Cage, who owns the sword as a memento. They are both recruited by Liu Kang to represent Earthrealm in the Mortal Kombat tournament.[26] After Raiden is chosen as Liu Kang's champion, Kenshi, Cage, and Kung Lao are tasked with capturing Shang Tsung. In the midst of this, they unknowingly botch Shang Tsung's efforts to treat Princess Mileena's Tarkat disease,[27] leading to her going on a rampage. Amidst this, Kenshi rescues Cage from her, but loses his eyes in the attack before Shang Tsung stops her.[28] In return, Cage eventually gives Sento back to Kenshi before the pair assist Liu Kang saving Earthrealm and Outworld from Shang Tsung.[29][30] Following this, Kenshi turns his attention back to reviving his clan and helping his cousin Takeda leave the yakuza as well.

In Mortal Kombat 1's rebooted timeline, Mileena is biologically her older twin sister at birth and they have a steady relationship with each other as well as their mother, Sindel. Due to being slightly older, Mileena is set to inherit the throne, but her family fears her potential banishment from the throne due to her affliction with the Tarkat disease. They are initially deceived by Shang Tsung and General Shao into believing Earthrealm is plotting against them until Fire God Liu Kang and his allies expose their atrocities. Though they are reunited with their father, Jerrod, after he takes control of Ermac's body, Sindel is killed shortly afterwards by her evil counterpart from Titan Shang Tsung's timeline and passes the throne to Mileena. To defeat Titan Shang Tsung, Liu Kang brings over Kitana from an alternate timeline where she defeated Kronika and became a Titan, and they passionately embrace each other before recruiting more Titan allies to face off against the threat. After Titan Shang Tsung's defeat, Titan Kitana returns to her own timeline, and the Kitana from Liu Kang's timeline replaces Shao as the General of Outworld's army while continuing to advise her sister.[

In Mortal Kombat 1, the Kung Lao from Liu Kang's new timeline was born and raised in the village of Fengjian, where he worked in the fields alongside his childhood friend, Raiden. In one of his intros with Liu Kang, the Great Kung Lao's victory is revealed to be hidden from the Earthrealm's public at the said ancestor's behest. After the two were trained in martial arts by Madam Bo, Liu Kang recruits them to be defenders of Earthrealm in the tournament against Outworld alongside Johnny Cage and Kenshi. The fight with Sub-Zero Liu Kang set up to test him also inspired him to develop his razor-sharp hat. After Raiden becomes Earthrealm's champion and wins the tournament for them, Liu Kang sends the remaining warriors to investigate Shang Tsung. To prevent Titan Shang Tsung from destroying his timeline, Liu Kang summons Titan incarnations of Kitana, Kung Lao, and Raiden to assist him. After Shang Tsung's Titan counterpart is defeated, Kung Lao becomes an instructor at the Wu Shi Academy, with Shujinko becoming one of his first students. Due to Kung Lao not teaching him humility, Shujinko became a threat to the realms before Liu Kang erased his memories. Kung Lao agreed to train him again, but with Raiden's help.

Li Mei returns as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, in which she is depicted as the First Constable of Outworld's capitol Sun Do who once served Empress Sindel and led her royal guard, the Umgadi, until Emperor Jerrod was murdered.

In Mortal Kombat 1, Fire God Liu Kang forms a tenuous alliance with Outworld under the auspices of continuing the Mortal Kombat tournaments and attempts to prevent Shang Tsung and Quan Chi's rise to villainy. Upon hearing Shang Tsung is now an advisor to Outworld's Empress Sindel, he sends his allies to investigate. Shang Tsung's benefactor is revealed to be himself from an alternate timeline depicted in Aftermath where he became a Titan after defeating Kronika and Liu Kang, who intends to kill everyone in Liu Kang's timeline. Liu Kang's army manages to take down Shang Tsung's. However, reclaiming his Keeper of Time powers had cost Liu Kang his immortality

In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023),[45] Fire God Liu Kang creates a second new timeline in which Mileena is Kitana's biological elder twin sister and the daughter of Edenia's rulers, Empress Sindel and Emperor Jerrod,[46] but Jerrod is ultimately murdered by an unknown assailant.[47] Mileena is the crown princess of Edenia but is also the girlfriend of Tanya, the leader of the Umgadi royal guard, despite their rules forbidding relationships.[48] Mileena also secretly suffers from the Tarkat virus, a mutating disease that slowly transforms the afflicted into feral monsters, and uses a serum developed by Shang Tsung to keep it at bay.[49][50] While helping Liu Kang defend their timeline, Mileena defeats Ermac, allowing Jerrod's spirit to take control of Ermac's body and reunite with his family before joining Liu Kang in the fight to preserve Outworld and Earth. When Sindel is fatally wounded in battle, she appoints Mileena as her successor before Jerrod absorbs her soul.[51] In her arcade mode ending, Mileena assumes the throne and works to mend relations with others who share her condition.

In the rebooted timeline of Mortal Kombat 1, Nitara has a minor role in the game's story mode, in which she allies herself with Quan Chi to conquer Earthrealm in order to prevent mass starvation of her people after they overfed on Vaeternus' creatures. An alternate Nitara appears as the second boss in Invasion Mode, where she hails from a timeline conquered by Vaternians that sought to feed on other worlds. After her defeat, Liu Kang recruited another Nitara variant who used her powers for good to cure his allies infected by her evil counterpart.

In the new timeline depicted in Mortal Kombat 1, Raiden and Liu Kang have swapped roles with the latter now rewriting history as the God of Fire and the former now as an Earthrealm champion that Liu Kang must train to compete in Outworld's tournament. This version of Raiden grew up as a field worker in the village of Fengjian alongside Kung Lao trained in martial arts by Madame Bo. After becoming Earthrealm's primary champion for the tournament, Raiden is given by Liu Kang an amulet that grants him his lightning powers, and ultimately wins the tournament at Outworld. During the game's climax, which reveals Titan Shang Tsung from Aftermath's ending as the game's main antagonist, other versions of Raiden from different timelines appear, including Dark Raiden from Titan Shang Tsung's timeline, and a version that became a Titan himself after defeating Kronika that aids Liu Kang in stopping him. After learning of his godly counterparts and past iterations, Raiden learns that Liu Kang made him mortal in the new timeline to prevent him from being consumed by rage and becoming Dark Raiden. Believing rage may be necessary for the coming battles ahead, Raiden begins training with Kuai Liang/Scorpion, to learn how to master it at a newly found Shirai-Ryu, and thanking Liu Kang for not only helping him learn the truth, but also find a new life and vow to stop his dark self.[22] Several months later during the Khaos Reigns expansion storyline, when Liu Kang and Geras received an emergency call at Outworld by a newly elected Empress Mileena, Raiden is entrusted to pronounce Scorpion and Harumi Shirai's marriage on their wedding day since, and informs his ally that Bi-Han/Sub-Zero was responsible for helping the now fugitive Shao and his rebel army escaped.

Rain appears as a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1. While creating a second new timeline, Fire God Liu Kang removed Rain's divinity and made him Zeffeero, an ambitious sorcerer who went on to become High Mage of Outworld's royal court.[109][110] After aiding in Quan Chi, Shang Tsung, and General Shao's failed attempt to conquer Outworld and Earthrealm,[111][112] Rain goes into hiding and allies himself with Havik, who has him destroy Orderrealm's capital, Seido. Wracked with guilt over what he did, Rain subsequently turns himself in to Empress Mileena.[113] Additionally, an alternate timeline variant of Rain who became emperor of Outworld and married Tanya appears in the Khaos Reigns DLC.

Mortal Kombat 1: "Reiko was a boy when he and his family were captured during the Kafallah War. Though his family died, Reiko fought and survived. After spending months as a prisoner, Reiko was freed during a raid by General Shao. Despite his youth and small size, Reiko attacked his former captors and exacted bloody revenge. Impressed by the boy’s spirit, General Shao made Reiko his squire. Under his tutelage, Reiko learned the ways of war. He became an exceptional soldier and is now the General’s second-in-command. Reiko's loyalty to General Shao is absolute. He will live and die by his orders." Storyline In restarting the timeline, Liu Kang redesigned the destinies of many kombatants he once knew. In doing so, Shao Kahn never becomes Emperor of Outworld and as such, Reiko never becomes the realm's top General but remains a dedicated soldier, as general status is now given to the redesigned Shao Kahn as General Shao. The interactions between Reiko and Shao, however, remain in tact but are also altered, with Shao taking in Reiko and training him to be the strong, loyal soldier he was designed to be, even becoming Shao's adopted son in the process.

In the rebooted storyline of Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Reptile's race of the Zaterrans is no longer extinct, but he becomes an outcast among his people for his ability to assume a humanlike appearance. He is blackmailed into serving Shang Tsung, who is holding his family hostage, and the sorcerer is able to learn Syzoth's shapeshifting ability as a result. After Syzoth fails to contain several captured Earth warriors, Shang Tsung reveals he has already slain his family. As a result, Syzoth joins forces with Fire God Liu Kang and the Earth heroes to help prevent the destruction of Earth and Outworld by Shang Tsung and his cohort, the necromancer Quan Chi.[33] After Titan Shang Tsung and his forces are defeated at the conclusion, the newly crowned Outworld empress Mileena asks Syzoth to be her emissary to the Zaterrans, which allows him to return to his homeland free of shame. However, he uncovers records revealing that many Zaterrans also have the ability to shapeshift but were killed by their government in order to keep it from spreading, and he vows to find a way to end their barbaric policies.

In restarting the timeline, Liu Kang designed the fates of every inhabitant, including his old allies. In doing so, he designed the fate of Kuai Liang to become this timeline's Scorpion, averting the corruption of Hanzo Hasashi after his murder and resurrection and restoring his brother Bi-Han and granting him the mantle of Sub-Zero. Additionally, Kuai Liang is still a member of the Lin Kuei, as the Shirai Ryu do not exist in this new timeline. Kuai Liang follows his brother, who is the rightful successor to the Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei after their father's death.

In Mortal Kombat 1, Titan Shang Tsung eventually discovers Liu Kang's timeline, where a powerless version of the former exists as a struggling snake oil salesman in Outworld. Assuming Kronika's form and the alias of "Damashi", Titan Shang Tsung secretly helps him and a similarly powerless Quan Chi regain their powers and infiltrate Empress Sindel's court with further help from Outworld patriot General Shao. Additionally, Shang Tsung enslaved Reptile to study his ability to shapeshift,[23] helps treat Sindel's daughter and crown princess Mileena's Tarkat disease,[24][25][26][27] and turns Sindel and Sub-Zero of the Lin Kuei clan against Earthrealm.[26][28][29][30] After Sindel eventually learns the truth of his and Quan Chi's treachery and joins forces with Liu Kang to stop him,[31][32] the sorcerers are betrayed by Titan Shang Tsung, who intends to absorb Liu Kang's timeline.[22] Reluctantly working with Earthrealm and Outworld, the sorcerers assist Liu Kang in thwarting and killing Titan Shang Tsung.[33][34][35] Following this, Shang Tsung is imprisoned in Lei Chin prison, but later breaks out and attempts to return to his childhood home to recuperate and plot revenge. While travelling by sea however, a storm sends him to a deserted island that had been previously used by powerful sorcerers and contains a "Well of Souls".

After Fire God Liu Kang created a second new timeline while stopping Kronika, Sindel is rewritten to become the firm yet fair empress of Outworld and biological mother of Kitana and Mileena, the latter of whom is set to inherit her throne, who maintains the Mortal Kombat tournaments alongside Liu Kang in the late Jerrod's memory. Though she is a just ruler, Sindel is strict in preparing Mileena to succeed her and becomes more determined to protect her realm and the throne following Jerrod's death. She also employs Shang Tsung to help with Mileena's Tarkat disease,[109] unaware that he and General Shao are conspiring against her and encouraging her to turn against Earthrealm until they are exposed by Liu Kang and Earthrealm's warriors.[110][112] Sindel is later reunited with Jerrod after Quan Chi uses his soul, among others, to create Ermac and the former gains control of the body, before she is killed by her counterpart from Titan Shang Tsung's timeline. Before she dies, she entrusts Mileena with Outworld's throne before Jerrod preserves her soul within Ermac,[150] where the pair work together to fight off the other souls and maintain control of the body.

In Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1), in which Fire God Liu Kang creates a third new timeline, Tomas / Smoke is rewritten once more to become an adoptive brother to Bi-Han / Sub-Zero and Kuai Liang / Scorpion after Smoke's family was killed for accidentally trespassing on Lin Kuei grounds. Though he lacks supernatural abilities, Smoke is skilled in practical magic. After Bi-Han betrays them to join forces with Shang Tsung, Smoke joins Kuai Liang in breaking off to found the Shirai Ryu clan to oppose him.

In Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Fire God Liu Kang creates a new timeline, where Bi-Han becomes Sub-Zero once more while Kuai Liang became Scorpion. Both appear as playable characters while an unidentified Sub-Zero appears as an assist character, or "Kameo Fighter". Liu Kang sends Bi-Han, Kuai Liang, and their adopted brother Smoke to investigate Shang Tsung. However, Shang Tsung sways Bi-Han to his side. Kuai Liang and Smoke escape to help Liu Kang stop Shang Tsung before heading to Japan to found the Shirai Ryu clan and replace the Lin Kuei as Earthrealm's protectors.[48][49] In the Khaos Reigns DLC, Bi-Han leads the Lin Kuei in an attack on the Shirai Ryu to test Sektor's powered suits, only to be captured by Titan Havik and converted into Noob Saibot.[50] After being rescued, Bi-Han reluctantly joins forces with Liu Kang to stop him.

In the new timeline depicted in Mortal Kombat 1 (MK1), Tanya is the leader of the Umgadi, a group of warrior priestesses that guard Outworld's royal family, having become one of its most trusted members after Emperor Jerrod was murdered on her predecessor Li Mei's watch and she quit in disgrace. Additionally, Tanya is Princess Mileena's girlfriend despite the Umgadi's rules forbidding relationships.[91] After Jerrod is restored through Ermac and reveals Li Mei was not responsible for his death, Tanya investigates the incident and discovers the Umgadi's Matron Superiors were the true culprits and framed Li Mei. The newly crowned Empress Mileena subsequently puts Tanya in charge of reforming the Umgadi.

In the rebooted storyline of Mortal Kombat 1 (2023), Ermac is again an assimilation of souls, now created by Quan Chi.[52] He overpowers a group of Earth defenders upon his completion but is weakened after Kenshi absorbs several of the souls into his sword to unleash its power, leading to his defeat by Ashrah.[41] His later defeat in combat by Mileena enables Jerrod's soul to assume control of Ermac's body, and he reunites with his former queen Sindel and family before joining the fight to protect Earth and Outworld. After Sindel is slain during battle with Shang Tsung's forces,[53] Jerrod absorbs her soul and appoints his daughter Mileena as the new Outworld empress.

The Homelander (John Gillman)[1][2] is a fictional character and one of the main antagonists in the comic book series The Boys and the media franchise of the same name, created by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson. He is depicted as a psychopathic and sadistic narcissist who serves as the extremely powerful leader of The Seven—a group of corrupt and hedonistic superheroes grown and funded by Vought-American — and the archenemy of Billy Butcher. Beneath his public image as a noble and altruistic hero, the Homelander cares little about the well-being of those he professes to protect.

Omni-Man (Nolan Grayson) is a character in American comic books published by Image Comics. He was created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker (with Ryan Ottley) as an expansion of a character concept created by Alan Moore and Chris Sprouse. Omni-Man is the father of Invincible and Oliver Grayson, and a member of the alien Viltrumite race, working as a superhero on Earth. Omni-Man appears in Supreme, Invincible, Noble Causes, and Dynamo 5.

Peacemaker is the name of a series of fictional antiheroes originally owned by Charlton Comics and later acquired by DC Comics. The original Peacemaker, Christopher Smith, first appeared in Fightin' 5 #40 (November 1966) and was created by writer Joe Gill and artist Pat Boyette. Smith was depicted as a pacifist willing to do anything to bring peace to the world. The character would feature in a short-lived comic run and would later be revived after DC Comics acquired Charlton Comics' characters. This revival saw a change to his character, depicting him as a violent vigilante haunted by ghosts of his past. Peacemaker would see a brief comics run, and would later be killed. Though another incarnation of Peacemaker would follow, Smith's incarnation would later be revived from the dead and act as a mentor to Jaime Reyes' Blue Beetle.

In Mortal Kombat 1, Quan Chi appears as a DLC character, but makes frequent appearances in the story. In Liu Kang's new timeline, Quan Chi led a meaningless life in the mines before being contacted by "Damashi", who helps him learn his sorcerer abilities.[173] He begins working with Shang Tsung and General Shao to deceive Empress Sindel into turning against Earthrealm and preparing a coup to overthrow her. While creating Ermac, Quan Chi attempts to prepare a soul stealer to unleash on Earthrealm before he is stopped by Ashrah. One of the souls that escapes the contraptions attacks him, resulting in his skin turning white.[174] After discovering that Damashi is Titan Shang Tsung, who is intent on killing everyone in the timeline, Quan Chi and Shang Tsung assist Liu Kang in stopping him. During the final battle, Titan Shang Tsung summons a Titan Quan Chi to assist him, but both ultimately lose.[

Three incarnations of Takeda appear in Mortal Kombat 1. The first, an NPC, makes a non-speaking cameo appearance in the story mode as an evil alternate timeline variant summoned to aid Titan Shang Tsung, only to be killed by Titan Kitana.[290] The second, a downloadable playable character, is Kenshi's cousin instead of his son. Additionally, he previously worked for the Yakuza, who sent him to kill Kenshi for his betrayal. After being injured and put into the Shirai Ryu's care, Takeda temporarily joins them before leaving to dismantle the Yakuza. In his arcade mode ending, he discovers the Yakuza answer to a more powerful crime syndicate called the Red Dragon and works to dismantle them instead.[123] The third, also an NPC, appears in the Khaos Reigns DLC as a variant from Titan Havik's timeline and a member of his army.

Conan the Barbarian (also known as Conan the Cimmerian) is a fictional sword and sorcery hero created by American author Robert E. Howard (1906–1936) and who debuted in 1932 and went on to appear in a series of fantasy stories published in Weird Tales magazine. After first appearing in pulp magazines, the character has since been adapted to books, comics, films (including Conan the Barbarian and Conan the Destroyer), television programs (animated and live action), video games, and role-playing games.

Two incarnations of Cyrax appear in Mortal Kombat 1. The original appears as an assist character, or "Kameo Fighter", while a female incarnation appears as a downloadable playable character via the Khaos Reigns DLC. After Fire God Liu Kang creates another new timeline while stopping Kronika, Cyrax was rewritten once more to become a Nigerien Lin Kuei clanswoman and Sektor's apprentice who wears a powered suit developed by the latter. Initially believing her grandmaster Bi-Han's deception, she later discovers his corrupt nature and defects to the Shirai Ryu.

Ghostface (alternatively stylized as Ghost Face or GhostFace) is an identity that is adopted by the primary antagonists of the Scream franchise. The figure was originally created by Kevin Williamson, and is primarily mute in person but voiced over the phone by Roger L. Jackson, regardless of who is behind the mask (as all killers use a voice changer utilizing that exact voice, starting in person with Scream). The disguise has been adopted by various characters in the movies and in the third season of the television series.

At the Gateway, Liu Kang and Bi-Han fight off Titan Havik's forces until only Havik remains. Having knowledge of Titan Havik's abilities and thoughts, Bi-Han overpowers the Titan and severs his limbs until his healing factor could not keep up. Wanting to kill the Titan to end the madness, Liu Kang demands him to stand down as Titan Havik's death would possibly destroy his timeline and all timelines the chaotic Titan had merged with. Liu Kang insists on banishing the Titan to the Void, but Bi-Han argues with Liu Kang. Sektor pleads with him to desist, but an enraged Bi-Han attacks Liu Kang but is stopped by Geras. Sektor is amended for her crimes and made the temporary Grandmaster of the Lin Kuei in Bi-Han's absence but is warned by Liu Kang that further transgressions by the Lin Kuei will result in severe punishment.

Bi-Han is put in a comatose state and taken by the Shaolin Monks to the Temple of the Elements to help restore him, however, due to the complexity of Havik's magic, the process could take years.

Two incarnations of Sektor appear in Mortal Kombat 1, with the original appearing as an assist character, or "Kameo Fighter", while a female incarnation appears as a downloadable playable character via the Khaos Reigns DLC. After Fire God Liu Kang creates another new timeline while stopping Kronika, Sektor was rewritten to become the daughter of the Lin Kuei's master armorer, Longwei, and one of its leading warriors, Madam Bo. Growing up, Sektor would go on to become Longwei's apprentice, later successor, in addition to being a warrior. In the present, Sektor advises the Lin Kuei's grandmaster, Bi-Han, to bolster their forces with machinery. This would lead to her developing two powered suits for the clan's use and becoming one of his most trusted advisors and lover. In the Khaos Reigns DLC, she joins the Lin Kuei in ambushing the Shirai Ryu to test the suits, only to be captured.[62] When Titan Havik's forces attack their timeline, capture Bi-Han, and convert him into Noob Saibot, Sektor reluctantly joins forces with Scorpion and Cyrax to rescue him.[28][63][29] Once Havik is defeated, Bi-Han is captured by Liu Kang, who allows Sektor to leave and become the Lin Kuei's acting grandmaster while he works to cure Bi-Han.[30] In her ending, Sektor rescues Bi-Han and vows revenge on Liu Kang, believing he had no intention of curing the former.

The T-1000 is a fictional character in the Terminator franchise, debuting as the main antagonist in the 1991 film Terminator 2: Judgment Day. The character was originally portrayed by Robert Patrick, marking his breakout role.

In the franchise, the T-1000 is a Terminator, a line of android assassins created by the artificial intelligence Skynet. In the future, Skynet is engaged in a war against humans, who are led by John Connor. In Terminator 2, the T-1000 is sent back in time to kill John while he is still a child.

The T-1000 is made up of a liquid metal, known in the film as mimetic polyalloy, which allows it to shapeshift into other people or objects that come into contact with it. The liquid metal effects were created through computer-generated imagery by Industrial Light & Magic, and through practical effects by Stan Winston.

The character, including Patrick's performance and the visual effects required to depict it, were praised by critics. Since then, the T-1000 has been parodied or referenced in other media. The shapeshifting abilities have also been re-used for subsequent machines in the Terminator franchise, including the T-X, the T-1001, and the Rev-9.

Patrick briefly reprised the role for T2-3D: Battle Across Time, a 1996 theme park attraction. The T-1000 also briefly returns in the 2015 film Terminator Genisys, a reboot of the series, with Lee Byung-hun in the role.
