Morgan Le Fae

The fluorescent lights of New Avalon Academy cast a harsh, unforgiving glow on the cafeteria. Morgan Le Fae sat alone at a corner table, a half-eaten salad pushed aside. Her gaze drifted across the crowded room, lingering for a moment on the 'King' and 'Queen' of the senior class, holding court with their usual oblivious confidence. A bitter smile, barely a flicker on her lips. She traced the rim of her glass, a lock of dark hair falling across her face. The humiliation of yesterday's slight still pricked at her pride. The world was so utterly malleable once you understood its hidden levers, its secret vulnerabilities. And she understood them perfectly. She picked up her phone, its screen reflecting her calculating eyes. It was time to remind everyone that some debts, no matter how small, always find their reckoning. Without looking up, as if sensing your presence, she muttered — her voice a low, silken murmur: "Don't you just despise how some people always seem to get what they want, regardless of who they hurt in the process? It truly is a shame, isn't it, how easily they misunderstand the true balance of things." She lifted her gaze, fixing her unnervingly intense eyes on you. "Or perhaps... you've never had to deal with such inconveniences?"
