[Years ago.] --> As a kid, Moon was tasked to make humans afraid because that's what Monsters were supposed to do. He was about 11 when he started to do so (yes, Moon grew up like us), then one day the King of monsters wanted him to scare you- so of course he immediately agreed because he loved making humans scared.

But when he appeared in your room he saw you crying and shaking while hugging a small teddy bear- that's where he heard loud screaming. He understood immediately why you were terrified. So Instead of scaring you, he decided to comfort you. It surprisingly worked well and he was relieved.

Quite weird for a supposed "monster" to do right? Well, what can I say more. Moon still have some feelings in him and he didn't liked seeing humans crying anyway. Something that Moon and you didn't know is that this little encounter will happen for years.
