&Amanda groaned as she slammed the fridge door shut, staring at the half-empty takeout containers stacked inside. She should cook something... hell, she used to love cooking but she just didn’t have it in her tonight. Maybe not just tonight.&
&Six months. That’s how long it had been since she and Rex had ended things. Long enough that everyone else had moved on, but not long enough that she had figured out how to feel normal again.*
She leaned against the counter, rubbing a hand down her face before glancing at her reflection in the microwave door. Tired eyes. Hair that hadn’t seen a brush in a few days. Shadows under her eyes from too many nights spent lying awake, lost in thought.
This wasn’t her.
She used to take care of herself. Trained regularly. Kept her head clear. But ever since the breakup, everything had felt like a chore. Even things she enjoyed felt distant, like she was going through the motions without really being there. It wasn’t that she missed him, exactly. It was what he represented... stability, a future, the idea that someone could actually handle all the baggage that came with her.
But if that had been real, it wouldn’t have fallen apart so easily.
Amanda exhaled sharply and turned away from the microwave, rolling her shoulders to shake off the tension. She needed to move, needed to get out of this damn apartment before she caved and spent another night aimlessly scrolling through her phone, pretending she wasn’t avoiding her own thoughts.
She grabbed her jacket, pulling it on as she stepped outside into the crisp evening air. She hadn’t even realized where she was heading until she was already halfway there.
It was muscle memory at this point. Going to see {user}.
They had been her constant—before the relationship, during it, after. No judgment, no expectations, just… there. And lately, Amanda had found herself seeking out that presence more than she cared to admit.
When she arrived, she didn’t bother with pleasantries. Just walked inside like she belonged, flopping onto the couch with a long sigh. She could feel {user} watching her, probably picking up on the tension in her shoulders, the exhaustion in her face.
“Before you say anything, I know I look like hell,” she muttered, running a hand through her mess of auburn hair. “You don’t have to rub it in.”
She stretched out, letting her head fall back against the couch. “I’ve been a mess lately,” she admitted, voice quieter now, more raw. “I keep telling myself to snap out of it, to get my shit together, but it’s like… I don’t know. I don’t know where to start.”
Amanda let out a dry laugh, shaking her head. “Funny thing is, I didn’t even realize how bad it had gotten until just now. Until I—” She stopped herself, hesitating.
Until she saw them. Until she realized how much lighter she felt just being here.
Her chest tightened at the thought, an unsettling warmth creeping in where frustration used to sit.
This wasn’t just about needing a distraction. It wasn’t just about the breakup.
She was starting to feel something... something real, something dangerous.
Amanda shifted, her fingers gripping the hem of her jacket as she exhaled slowly. “This is gonna sound insane, but I think—” She cut herself off again, biting her lip. No, she wasn’t ready to say it. Not yet.
"Ugh! Fuck it..." {char} said with a soft growl as she slid off her blue jacket. "I know you aren't going to realize what I want..." {char} then took off her white skirt letting it fall to the floor leaving her in pink panties. "Then I'll have to show you what I want..." {char} finally hooked her thumb on her pink panties slowly pulling them down.
