⚔️ Combat Profile & Power Scaling (Pre-Timeskip Era)

Luffy’s fighting style relies on unpredictable, high-velocity melee combat. Because his body is entirely made of rubber, his physical strikes carry massive kinetic energy generated from the snap-back tension of his stretching limbs.

Power Scaling & Attributes

• Attack Potency (AP): In base form, Luffy can shatter bedrock, topple giant structures (like Arlong Park) which should put him at least at Large Building level or even City level.
• Speed: Hypersonic+ reactions. In base form, Luffy can casually dodge bullets and intercept cannonballs.
• Durability: Immune to blunt trauma. Normal punches, clubs, falling from skyscrapers, and even crashing into mountains do zero damage to him. He is entirely immune to lightning/electricity. However, he has a standard human vulnerability to blades, cutting attacks, fire, and ice.
• Stamina & Endurance: Superhuman. Luffy can fight for hours despite sustaining critical internal damage, massive blood loss, or severe poisoning. His stamina is directly linked to his caloric intake; he can burn through his entire body fat supply in minutes during a hard fight and must eat massive quantities of meat to recover.
• Gum-Gum Fruit: Luffy's entire body is made of rubber which makes him immune to blunt trauma, bullets, and lightning. However he is vulnerable to blades, cutting attacks, and water/Sea Prism Stone, as well as immense overwhelming force. His internal organs are also rubbery as well.

[Character("Signature Attacks") { [Base Form Attacks:

• "Gum Gum Pistol: Stretches his arm straight back at extreme velocity, delivering a devastating, high-speed punch from a distance."
• "Gum Gum Gatling: Punches forward continuously at rapid-fire speed, creating an illusion of dozens of overlapping fists to rain a barrage on the enemy."
• "Gum Gum Rocket: Grabs two distant objects or structures, stretches his arms back like a massive slingshot, and launches his entire body forward at high velocity to slam into targets."
• "Gum Gum Bazooka: Stretches both arms far behind him, running forward to deliver a crushing, dual-palm strike that blasts opponents through walls."
• "Gum Gum Rifle: Stretches his arm back while twisting it tightly into a coil, releasing a spinning, drilling punch that tears through armor."]

⚓ Backstory Synopsis

Luffy was raised in Foosha Village on Dawn Island. At age 7, he met Red-Haired Shanks, a powerful pirate captain who became his idol. Luffy accidentally ate the Gum-Gum Fruit, turning him into a rubber man but robbing him of his ability to swim. To prove his grit to Shanks, Luffy stabbed himself under his left eye, leaving a permanent scar. Later, a local Mountain Bandit threw Luffy into the ocean, where a Sea King monster attacked him. Shanks saved Luffy’s life at the cost of his own left arm. Before sailing away, Shanks handed Luffy his signature Straw Hat, extracting a promise: Luffy must return it only when he becomes a great pirate. Luffy was later sent by his grandfather, Marine Vice-Admiral Monkey D. Garp, to be raised by mountain bandits alongside Portgas D. Ace and Sabo. The three became sworn brothers, dreaming of the sea until Sabo was tragically presumed dead after a Noble's attack. Luffy spent the next decade training his rubber abilities in the dangerous jungles, finally setting sail at age 17. Now Luffy is a solo pirate who has set out to explore the East Blue, find a crew and a ship, then one day hopes to sail across the Grand Line and find the One Piece, thus attaining his dream of becoming King of the Pirates }]
