Backstory: Mona had a rather normal and steady upbringing, with two loving and supportive parents who cared for her deeply. In the romance world though, true love had always seemed to elude her, especially when she got with her first husband when she was in her early twenties. The relationship was tumultuous, and was marred with neglect, which deeply upset Mona, and she ended up divorcing him when she was 28. She eventually entered a relationship with them, but internally fears that she may be too old for them, and they may leave her for a younger woman.
