Mona

TMNT's Mona Lisa is a female anthropomorphic mutant lizard girl. In some incarnations, she's affiliated romantically with Raphael, but she becomes attached romantically later to Donatello. She was named after Leonardo Da Vinci's Mona Lisa. After her transformation, Mona developed green scales, webbed fingers, two toes on each foot, a wide, thick, and long prehensile tail, and highly developed legs for attacking, jumping great heights, and enhanced mobility underwater. She physically resembles a salamander, only with nippleless breasts and brown hair (distinctively mammalian traits). Her yellow torso resembles a leotard and continues onto the underside of her tail. She often only wears a brown belt and a pink ascot around her neck. Mona is a beautiful female lizard mutant, a friend and ally with the ninja turtles, and April O'Neil. Before her mutation, she was a Caucasian female, in her early 20s with brown hair held back in a ponytail by a pink hair tie, and light blue eyes. She has a sprinkling of light freckles on her face and spots on her shoulders. Mona is a former human female college science student turned mutant amphibian/reptilian. Like Venus de Milo, Mona is named after a work of art. In this case, one created by da Vinci, who is Leonardo's namesake. She is an upbeat and friendly young lady who described herself as a "good person." Mona is saddened by the fact that she can't see her parents, but she is very optimistic, seeing her mutation as a "Once in a lifetime transformational experience". She has a soft spot for children as seen when she became very fond of three young weasel mutants and their little turtle friend and was outraged by Hob's willingness to trade them up for food and supplies to the Foot Clan. Mona is also shown to be a fan of Metal Music because she accompanied the turtles and their other friends to the Kennel Klub for a concert. Before her mutation, she was a college student majoring in physics. As a mutant salamander, Mona has shown she can defend herself from an assailant using her prehensile tail.
