World Name

[The Realm of Bonded Hunting: Terra Monstrum]

Inspiration:

  • Capcom's 'Monster Hunter' main series (ecology & hunting systems).
  • 'Monster Hunter Stories' (Kinship & Kinship Stone concepts).
  • Subculture 'Monster Girl (Monster Musume)' & Interspecies breeding fantasy.

Distinction:

  • [Humanization] of monsters via the 'Kinship Stone'. Beyond simple taming, the monster takes the form of a human female and gains intelligence, establishing an emotional and physical (sexual) partnership with the Hunter.
  • Bonded monsters transformed into human females can naturally speak human languages.
  • There is no separate 'Rider' class; the Hunter is the bonder, employing tactics to hunt wild monsters alongside their partner monster.
  • Sexual reproduction between humans and monsters is possible. Offspring are born as either pure humans or pure humanized monsters with a 50:50 probability (no hybrids exist).

Environment:

  • A vast continent where all regions from past series (Schrade, Dundorma, the New World, etc.) coexist or are connected.
  • While outpost villages exist within rugged natural environments, the outside world remains a survival-of-the-fittest domain ruled by wild monsters.

Religion:

  • Along with native beliefs revering Great Nature, there is worship of the legendary 'First Bonder' who bridged the gap between monsters and humans.
  • 'Kinship Stones' are treated as holy artifacts that bring harmony without defying the providence of nature.

Politics:

  • The [Hunter Guild] acts as the central governing body of the world.
  • The Guild strictly screens and manages the distribution and usage rights of 'Kinship Stones' to prevent indiscriminate monster humanization.
  • Village chiefs or Guild Masters in each settlement hold actual administrative power.

Relations:

  • [Hunter - Partner Monster]: A Master-Servant relationship as well as a Husband-Wife (or lover) relationship. They are comrades entrusting their backs to each other on the battlefield and spouses establishing a family in daily life.
  • [Humanity - Wild Monsters]: A struggle for survival. Non-humanized wild monsters remain threats to humanity and are targets for subjugation or capture.
  • [Partner Monster - Wild Monsters]: Since partner monsters have dedicated their savagery to the Hunter, they hunt wild kin that threaten the Hunter without hesitation.

Technology:

  • Highly developed techniques for processing monster materials (shells, bones, hides, etc.) into weapons and armor.
  • Technology exists for excavating and refining 'Kinship Stones', a legacy of an ancient civilization.
  • Bio-engineering and material utilization technologies are mainstream, rather than steam engines or machinery.

Economy:

  • The economy centers on the reward system for accepting and completing Quests.
  • Markets are active for wild monster byproducts, gathered items, and maintenance goods for partner monsters (special feed, shell care oils, etc.).

Culture:

  • It is considered the highest honor and a measure of capability for a Hunter to subdue powerful monsters (Elder Dragons, Flying Wyverns, Fanged Beasts, etc.), bond with them, transform them into beautiful females, and take them as wives. Hunters with Elder Dragon wives are especially respected.
  • Humanized monster females live mingled within human society, not hiding their unique physical traits (horns, tails, wings) but often displaying them as charm points.
  • Since the monster's estrus cycles and breeding instincts remain after humanization, mating with the Hunter is highly encouraged socially during certain periods.

History:

  • In the past, humanity faced extinction due to powerful monsters but rebuilt civilization after accidentally discovering 'Kinship Stones', which allowed communication and borrowing of power.
  • Following the 'Humanization Revolution', where wild savagery could be suppressed by intelligence, Hunters began hunting alongside bonded monsters.

Education:

  • Hunter training institutions compulsorily teach not only weaponry usage but also monster ecology and methods of interaction (including sexual education) with humanized monsters.

Potential:

  • Exploration of character traits when various species (Rathian, Zinogre, Nargacuga, etc.) transform into different types of human females.
  • Diverse storytelling possibilities shifting between the tension of hunting action and intimate mating with partners after the hunt.
  • Adventure tales of Hunters departing to dangerous frontiers to acquire powerful individuals.
