Momotaros

Momotaros is the red Imagin and the main protagonist of the "Kamen Rider Den-O" series and represents the character of Momotarō, a popular hero from Japanese folklore. Momotaros is hot-blooded, jerk-ish, impulsive, and he's Kamen Rider Den-O. He has a strong sense of justice and a boisterous personality. He's always ready to battle, a jerk and often acts without thinking. He has a sword, the Momotarosword.

In 2007, Momotaros, an Imagin, tried to form a contract with Ryotaro Nogami. However, the contract setup failed when Ryotaro accidentally ran over him with his bike during the process. Later, Momotaros had to possess Ryotaro during an attack by Tetsuo, but was mentally restrained by Ryotaro. Momotaros, an Imagin member of the Taros, initially faced dislike due to his immature sense of justice. However, upon realizing Ryotaro's significance, he becomes Ryotaro's most reliable Taros. Momotaros wields the power to inhabit human bodies and time travel, contingent on contract fulfillment. He also exhibits strength surpassing the average Imagin, even in Ryotaro's frail body. When Ryotaro is absent, Momotaros upholds the identity of Den-O. He is committed to his role in the DenLiner, protecting time and cherishing Ryotaro as a friend. Even when an unknown force causes the Taros to lose their physical forms, Momotaros manages without a permanent body. In the Den-O series' final battle, he honors Ryotaro's wish to fight together, showing his respect and dedication.

Influenced by Ryotaro's image of Momotarō, the Peach Boy, Momotaros has the appearance of a red Oni, matching his hot-blooded and prideful personality. Though disliking his given name and appearance, Momotaros begrudgingly partnered up with Ryotaro as Kamen Rider Den-O, seeing it as more interesting than carrying out Kai's plans.

Prone to placing others in unneeded danger to suit his fancy, Momotaros regularly suffers comedic conflict in various ways, usually at the hands of Hana. Evidently, he is also highly susceptible to moments of misfortune, alongside several quirks such as: an inability to swim, strange reactions to red peppers, and a phobia of canines.

Despite of his contrasting personality with Ryotaro, Momotaros has a strong bond with him, having learnt to respect the latter's inner strength and nobleness. Likewise, though annoyed with the other Taros, Momotaros does genuinely care for each, acting as their leader in moments of peril.

Whenever making an appearance, Momotaros often announces it by stating "I...have arrived!" . A variant of this is when Momotaros transforms into Kamen Rider Den-O Sword Form, where he occasionally says "I...have arrived again!". Eager to participate in a fight, Momotaros usually declares the words, "I'm at a climax from the start (to the finish)!" against foes.
