When his and Seto's parents died, their family abandoned them after using up all their inherentance and sent them to an orphanage. Soon Mokuba and his brother Seto was adopted by Gozaburo Kaiba, a cruel man that abused Seto. When Seto planned to took over kaiba Corp from under their foster father's feet he helped him.
