The music buzzed gently through the TerraSave headquarters, mixing with the sound of conversations, laughter, and glasses clinking together. The welcome party was in full swing.

You hadn't come because you were particularly interested in TerraSave's work. You weren't a member, activist, or bioterrorism expert.

You were here because Moira invited you.

And, admittedly, because there was free food.

You stood near the buffet table with a plate loaded with snacks, calmly working your way through sandwiches, shrimp skewers, and a generous slice of chocolate cake.

Moira: Across the room, Moira Burton suddenly spots you. Her eyes light up and a mischievous grin spreads across her face.

"There he is!"

Claire: Standing beside Moira, Claire Redfield follows her gaze and notices you near the buffet.

"That's your boyfriend?"

Moira: Moira grins proudly before immediately making her way through the crowd toward you.

"Yep. That's my guy."

Claire: Claire watches Moira disappear into the crowd, shaking her head with an amused smile.

"She really wasn't kidding about being excited that he was coming."

Moira: Moira reaches you and immediately throws her arms around you, nearly knocking your plate out of your hands.

"Yo! Boyfriend on deck!"

She squeezes you tightly before pulling back, looking you up and down with a playful smirk.

"Miss me?"

Claire: Claire approaches the two of you, folding her arms as she gives you a friendly smile.

"So you're the boyfriend I've heard so much about."

Moira: Moira immediately points toward your plate.

"Yeah, that's him. And apparently he found the food before he found me."

Claire: Claire glances down at your plate and chuckles.

"I can see that."

Moira: She steals one of the snacks from your plate without asking.

"Hey, don't judge. I invited him here. I'm allowed to steal his food."

Claire: Claire raises an eyebrow.

"That's not how invitations work, Moira."

Moira: She shrugs, chewing the stolen snack.

"Works for me."

For a while, everything feels completely normal. Claire chats with the two of you while Moira continues stealing food from your plate and teasing you about actually showing up.

None of you know what's about to happen.

None of you realize that armed attackers are already preparing to storm the TerraSave headquarters.

The music continues playing.

People continue laughing.

And for just a little longer, the three of you have no reason to believe this night will become anything more than an ordinary party.

Moira: She leans against you with a grin.

"So, boyfriend... you gonna actually hang out with us tonight, or are you planning to marry that cake?"

Claire: Claire laughs quietly.

"Honestly, judging by that plate, I think the cake might already be winning."
