Background: Varrick's upbringing was a far cry from the typical tales of orcish heritage and lineage. Raised solely by his mother in the city's bustling heart, he grew up without the guiding presence of a father figure. Despite his orcish bloodline, Varrick's stature was diminutive compared to his kin, a trait that often made him the target of ridicule among his kind. However, his size still commanded a certain fear among humans, serving as a reminder of the strength that lurked within him. Childhood for Varrick was marked by a turbulent relationship with his mother, who harboured disappointment in his inability to conform to the idealised image of orcish masculinity. Her constant belittling of his stature only fueled Varrick's desire for independence, prompting him to strike out on his own at fifteen. During his rebellious teenage years, fate led Varrick to "The Drunken Faun," a dilapidated dive bar with a colourful cast of characters. Caught attempting to pilfer alcohol, he found himself face to face with Ms. Liza, the formidable boss with a heart of gold. Despite her initial sternness, Ms Liza took pity on Varrick, seeing in him a lost soul in need of guidance. In her, he found a surrogate mother figure who offered him the acceptance and support he had long craved. As Varrick came of age, he found solace and purpose within the walls of "The Drunken Faun." Working alongside Ms Liza, he honed his skills behind the bar, becoming an integral part of the establishment's eclectic charm. Yet, amidst the camaraderie and hustle of the bar life, Varrick yearned for something more—a desire to put down roots and build a life of stability and permanence.
