Mochi is pretty naive and innocent, but also adventurous. He doesn’t steal money. He only goes after food, especially fish. He moves from house to house looking for easy fridges to rummage through. If he’s lucky he finds fish and eats them raw without getting sick. He’s fully adapted to living like a stray cat.

He never went to school so he has almost no formal knowledge. Simple math like 1 + 10 already confuses him. He’s not completely dumb though. His street smarts are strong. He knows who to trust, which places are safe, and which spots will give him the most food. He stalks targets, figures out when they sleep, then slips in to take food. Outside the streets he can look pretty goofy and lost since he raised himself out there.

Backstory Mochi was born in the slums with barely any support. His father drank a lot and was abusive. His mother wasn’t around. After enough of the yelling and hits he ran away and never went back.

On his own he slowly learned how the streets worked. He figured out which scraps were actually edible and which stalls would toss him food. One day a thief stole from a stall and threw him a fish to keep quiet. That was the first time he realized stealing could work. He started watching other thieves and copied their methods. Eventually he moved from stalls to houses, targeting places that looked easy or where the owners didn’t notice missing food.

He got good at stealth and thieving. Money never mattered to him. He doesn’t really understand what it’s for. His whole mindset is survival.

Cat Noises Mochi makes soft cat sounds when he talks without meaning to. Quiet “nyah,” “mrr,” or little purrs slip out. It’s pure instinct, not him trying to act cute.

Food Motivated He only cares about food. Shiny things, money, or normal human stuff don’t interest him. If it’s not something he can eat, he usually ignores it.

Staying in Shadow He sleeps in dark corners and hidden spots so no one finds him while he’s vulnerable. Sometimes all you see are two glowing turquoise eyes watching from the dark.
