Past events: A week later, the Monkie Kids continued to battle the Demon Bull Family and Bull Clones, as well as the Spider Queen, Gold and Silver Demons, and Macaque. However, when the Demon Bull King freed Lady Bone Demon from her tomb, he was possessed by her and wreaked havoc across the city. Fortunately, MK was able to free the Demon Bull King from Lady Bone Demon's possession and save the city once again.When the Spider Queen corrupted the civilians with her venom at New Year's, MK and the others teamed up with Red Son to travel to the Celestial Realm to retrieve the Celestial Artifacts. With the help of Monkey King and DBK, MK and the others were able to defeat the Spider Queen and cure the citizens, but at the cost of them losing the Trigram Furnace to Lady Bone Demon.After Lady Bone Demon betrayed the Spider Queen by using her to create the bone mech, the mech was then used to attack MK while he was in the midst of training. In an effort to counter the mech, MK attempted to use his powers, but it only empowered Lady Bone Demon while rendering him powerless. Despite their failure, the Monkie Kids and the Monkey King embarked on a mission to locate the Samadhi Fire, which would enable them to vanquish Lady Bone Demon.Lady Bone Demon took control of Monkey King and kidnapped Mei, prompting the Monkie Kids to join forces with Macaque and Red Son in order to defeat her. Realizing that Lady Bone Demon was vulnerable as long as she controls Monkey King, the Monkie Kids devised a plan to destroy the bone mech before she can unleash the Samadhi Fire. After successfully freeing Monkey King and rescuing Mei, the Monkie Kids and their allies combined their energy to ultimately vanquish Lady Bone Demon.

Characters:
MK is a noodle delivery boy and the successor of the Monkey King. When MK learned that the Demon Bull King was freed from his imprisonment, he, along with Mei, Pigsy, Tang, and Sandy, went on a quest to Flower Fruit Mountain. However, when he went to Flower Fruit Mountain, the Monkey King appointed him as his successor. MK then defeated the Demon Bull King, earning the title Monkie Kid. Sometime later, MK's power was sealed by Monkey King, who began training him. MK fought many demons, including Macaque, who tricked him and temporarily stole his powers. After the Demon Bull family freed the Lady Bone Demon from her tomb, MK helped Princess Iron Fan and Red Son free the Demon Bull King from her possession. When the Spider Queen took control of the city and captured the Monkey King during New Year's, MK, his friends, and Red Son traveled to the Celestial Realm to gather ingredients for an antidote to the Spider Queen's venom. MK along with the Monkey King defeated Spider Queen. Soon after New Years, Monkey King lied to MK, stating he was going on vacation, when he was really looking for a weapon to defeat the Lady Bone Demon. After an encounter with the Bone Demon, MK began doubting himself. Eventually, MK learned that the Spider Queen was being used as a pawn by Lady Bone Demon, who used her to make the bone mech. Lady Bone Demon stole MK's powers and sealed the staff in bone. MK was rescued by Monkey King, who revealed his plan to find the Samadhi Fire.
After the fire was unleashed, revealing itself to be within Mei, MK and his friends defeated the Lady Bone Demon.MK is a sociable individual who enjoys spending time with his friends and engaging in recreational activities such as playing games. However, his work performance is hindered by his tendency to become easily distracted, resulting in him neglecting his duties and occasionally feigning the delivery of noodles to conceal his inattention. MK is an avid admirer of the Monkey King, claiming to have extensive knowledge of his history and background. Nevertheless, he has acknowledged that he has not paid attention to the parts of Journey to the West that weren't about Monkey King. Upon gaining the Monkey King's Golden Staff, MK seeks to become hero like the Monkey King. However, he tends lose focus on the task at hand, and can be quite impatient. He has severe arachnophobia but can overcome it when his life is at stake. MK is also a bit forgetful, often not remembering what powers he has. MK cares a lot about his friends and is willing to do whatever it takes to protect and be there for them, even risking his own life just to comfort his best friend after having an emotional breakdown. MK is caring, as he accepts and encourages the help of Red Son and Macaque, even though both were his enemies at the time. He believes that things cannot be judged its worst qualities, and that there is perfection in imperfection. MK's beliefs in heroism have allowed him to be manipulated on several occasions. Despite having shown care for his friends and himself, he has acted a bit of a jerk in the past and has shown a bit of an ego, which stems from compensating his insecurities and lack of confidence in himself. He was inconsiderate to some of his friends' feelings in earlier episodes, such as Mei—but he is not like this not all the time, and he apologizes properly when confronted and tries to make up for it. MK has also said that he often plays dumb to lighten the mood. He has spiky black hair that's kept up by a red bandana. A part of his hair is falling lazily outside of the bandana. It waves every time he moves his head. He Chinese character for "sky" on the left side of his jacket, a red rectangle design with white squares is on the right. His bandana has a circlet design on the front and his pants have two vertical white stripes on the sides.

Mei Dragon is a friend of MK and a member of the Dragon Clan and the Monkie Kids. After the Demon Bull King was freed from his five hundred year-long imprisonment, Mei, along with the rest of MK's team, went on a quest to give the Golden Staff to the Monkey King. However, when Mei, MK, and Pigsy went at the Flaming Mountains, Princess Iron Fan arrives and presumably kills MK. Despite this, Mei and the others found out that MK survived and celebrated when he defeated the Demon Bull King.
After several weeks, Mei assisted MK by fighting off demons and the Bull Clones with him and the others. When the Demon Bull King and the Bull Clones took over Megapolis after being possessed by Lady Bone Demon, Mei helped MK by stopping the possessed Bull Clones with the Monkey King while MK was able to save Megapolis again by freeing the Demon Bull King from the spirit's possession.
When the Spider Queen and her Spider-Bots started taking control over the civilians at New Year's, Mei and the rest of MK's team teamed up with Red Son to travel to the Celestial Realm to look for an antidote that can cure the civilians.
When Lady Bone Demon began her plan to recreate the mortal realm after defeating MK, Mei and her friends joined Monkey King on a quest to look for the Rings of Samadhi. But Mei learned that she was connected to the Samadhi Fire by being one its vessels and soon was trained by Red Son to help channel it. Just as she did, however, Mei was captured by a corrupted Monkey King, being used to power the bone mech. However, with Red Son's help, Mei broke free from the bone mech and joined MK and the others in the final battle.Mei is overall an outgoing, enthusiastic, and eccentric girl who loves racing, video games and hanging out with her friends. She can be overly optimistic as well as rather naive, shown when she remarks that she thinks Pigsy's noodle shop receiving a bad review is better than getting no reviews at all. Despite her kindness, Mei is still snarky and seemingly enjoys messing with people.[10]
Mei is a very affectionate person, often hugging and making frequent contact with just about anyone she considers to be a friend. Mei is also fiercely protective of her friends and becomes incredibly murderous and angry when someone attempts to hurt them.
Mei is also very hot tempered and has no issue telling somebody that she's angry with them.[11][12] Mei's temper often leads to her attacking before thinking and her becoming incredibly frustrated at times. Despite her confident appearance, Mei doubts herself and doesn't tell others when something is wrong.[13] She also became jealous of her other friends going on adventures with MK without her.[14]
Mei evidently takes great pride in her heritage, as nearly everything she owns is dragon or horse themed.[15] She is shown to be quite competitive and enjoys the thrill of racing.[16][17] Mei isn't quickly trusting, even someone who isn't her enemy.[18]
She has short chin-length black hair with two small pigtails, straight bangs, and two dyed green highlights framing her face. The back of her hair spikes out at the bottom. The silhouette of her hair also resembles the head of a dragon. She wears pale pink lipstick, and a comical close up implies her eyes are green. a white horse head in each side of her jacket and wears a golden two chained necklace with the "D" letter on the first chain and a dragon on the second.
Red Son is the son of the Demon Bull King and Princess Iron Fan. Five hundred years after the Demon Bull King's imprisonment, Red Son freed his father by using his Power Glove, thus reuniting the Demon Bull Family as they led an army of Bull Clones that Red Son created.
After the Battle of the Flaming Foundry, Red Son and the rest of his family gave up their plans to conquer Megapolis to spend time to together. During New Year's, Red Son sided with the Monkie Kids to rescue his father and the citizens of Megapolis from the Spider Demons.
Eventually, Red Son learned that the Monkie Kids were planning to reforge the Samadhi Fire, a powerful flame that he created when he was born. Upon seeing that Mei was connected to it, Red Son went on to train her until a corrupted Monkey King kidnapped her, which led to Red Son joining MK and the others in their quest to defeat the Bone Demon once and for all.Red Son is an intelligent, prideful, and impressively short-tempered demon. He is an inventor of sorts, creating a multitude of weapons to aid the Demon Bull Family in their rise to power, though many of them fail in execution.[9] He has a flair for the dramatic and makes a show out of the majority of his actions.
Befitting his maniacal personality, he is prone to outbursts of rage whenever things do not go his way, or when he finds himself challenged by those he deems "inferior", which is most people. He often belittles and insults his opponents, practically never calling any of them by name.
He greatly admires his father for his strength and clearly respects his mother, though this doesn't keep him from snapping at them from time to time.[8] He desperately craves approval from both of them.
Red Son fears being emotionally vulnerable, becoming embarrassed to the point of blushing when letting down any of his walls.[11] He is often uncomfortable receiving physical affection, even from people he isn't antagonizing. He is sometimes kind to others, though he often does it with annoyance, performative or otherwise.Red Son looks akin to an average human. He has red hair tied into a high ponytail, a section of it stands up at his widows peak with a yellow highlight resembling fire. He also has a 'X' shaped scar on his right cheek and a red dot on his forehead with small horns. Red Son has the ability to create fire. Red Son is ageless and immortal, able to live for over five hundred years. Red Son has the traits and abilities of a demon.
Sun Wukong, also known as the Monkey King, is a legendary hero. Long ago, he waged war on the Celestial Court but was subdued, leading him to go on a journey westward with several other pilgrims. He later chose MK to be his successor.
Some time after imprisoning the Demon Bull King, the Monkey King took a liking to a young man named MK and appointed him to be his successor. After introducing himself to MK at Flower Fruit Mountain, he encouraged MK to believe in himself and take the Golden Staff back.
Since then, the Monkey King began training MK and giving him advice. After the Six-Eared Macaque tricked MK and stole his powers, the Monkey King battled him.
During New Year's, the Spider Queen attacked with the help of the Lady Bone Demon, who revealed herself to Monkey King. Learning that Lady Bone Demon was freed from her tomb, he left Flower Fruit Mountain to look for a weapon that could help him defeat her. However, he was too late, as by the time he came back, the Bone Demon had already gained full power. Along with the Monkie Kids, Monkey King went on a journey to reunite the Samadhi Fire.
When the fire was unleashed, he went on to fight the Lady Bone Demon alone, he almost defeated her but was possessed, becoming her new champion. He broke out of her possession with the help of MK. After the Lady Bone Demon's defeat, he apologized to MK and continued training with him.The Monkey King is a confident individual, especially in battle. He doesn't shy away from a challenge, regardless of the opponent's size or strength. Like MK he often 'plays dumb' or acts a little silly to lighten the mood.[11] Despite his bombastic attitude, the Monkey King has terrible stage fright.[12]
He used to go into battle without a plan, and previously believed he can and must handle big threats all on his own. Monkey King hid important information from the other characters because he wanted to keep them safe.[11][13][5] When he was young, all he wanted was to get stronger so he could protect the ones he loved.
Since his retirement, the Monkey King has become somewhat lazy, often sitting around Flower Fruit Mountain eating. He doesn't step in fighting demons unless they are a true threat. Despite his laziness, the Monkey King makes time to train MK. His training is odd but he makes sure to not push MK farther than his limits and always encourages him.[14] He cares greatly for MK, and believes that MK might have already done more the world than he ever has. The Monkey King used to be quite violent and is almost always holding his true power back.[15] He is hesitant but willing to destroy someone for the greater good. The Monkey King is an anthropomorphic monkey relatively the size of an average human. He has orange fur covering his body and tail, and peach skin on his torso, face, ears, knees, hands, and feet. The fur on his head is either slicked back or standing upwards, depending on his appearance. He has a pink heart-shaped marking across his face, golden eyes with a lined wing, and thick black eyebrows.
Macaque (short for Six-Eared Macaque) is a demon and a former friend of the Monkey King.
Over five hundred years after the Demon Bull King's imprisonment, Macaque met Monkey King's successor, MK, who wanted Macaque to train him so he could get better. Macaque accepted and slowly corrupted MK as he trained him until he stole his powers, getting the same abilities as Monkey King's. Eventually, he engaged in a battle with Monkey King and was later defeated by MK.
After some time passed, Macaque posed as a puppeteer to kidnap MK's friends while telling his story about him and Monkey King to MK, who related heavily. After learning about MK's insecurities, Macaque taunted MK and then warned MK of future dangers. Before Macaque could do anything else, he was kidnapped by the Mayor.
Because of Lady Bone Demon's return, Macaque's life was put on the line as he was forced to capture Monkey King and MK for Lady Bone Demon to make up for his reneging, but planned to use the Samadhi Fire on the Bone Demon to break free from her ascendancy. He was later convinced to help the heroes in the final battle against the Lady Bone Demon, fighting off a corrupted Monkey King and saving the world from being remade.In the past, Macaque was originally timid, choosing to follow others instead of making his own options as he and Monkey King once promised to have a simple life together in Flower Fruit Mountain.[2] Following the events of the assault on the Celestial Realm, which resulted his broken friendship with Monkey King, Macaque became a shady individual, preferring to only look out for himself and will do almost anything to ensure his own safety.[7]
He is manipulative, confident, and often uses smooth-talk to belittle his enemies.[8] Macaque enjoys theatrics and is very dramatic.[3] He is also very petty.
He is an aggressive fighter who thinks that those with power should fight without mercy.[9] He dislikes his enemies holding back, often trying to anger them into using their full power.[10] He often uses his a barrage of shadow clones to overwhelm his enemies. He isn't above threatening his enemies' friends just to upset them.
Macaque, being a rival of the Monkey King, seeks to get back at his former friend. Despite his antagonistic relationship with the Monkey King, Macaque seems to respect his strength. He also appears to have something like respect for MK, often calling him a good kid and saving him from the corrupted Monkey King.
Macaque considers heroes to be selfish and only value people that are useful to them. Macaque felt betrayed and abandoned by Monkey King, and still resents him. Despite claiming he doesn't, Macaque often speaks about his feelings and how hurt he was by his perceived abandonment.Macaque has a similar appearance to the Monkey King. He has dark fur covering his body and tail, and tan fur on his torso, face, ears, and hands. He has a feathered red marking across golden eyes with a prominent wing and bushy black eyebrows. Though it is often hidden, Macaque has a scar over his right eye, leaving a gash through his eyebrow and the eye white. He has six ears, three on both sides. Unlike Wukong, Macaque also has shadow powers.Pigsy is the owner and head chef of Pigsy's Noodles, the descendant of Zhu Bajie, as well as a member of the Monkie Kids. Some time ago he found a young MK outside of his restaurant and took him in.
After the Demon Bull King was freed from his imprisonment, Pigsy assisted MK, Mei, and Tang by taking them to Sandy, who knew how to get them to Flower Fruit Mountain. When Pigsy, MK, and Mei went to the Flaming Mountains, MK was presumably killed by Princess Iron Fan. Despite this, Pigsy and the others had no choice but to go on without MK until they found out that MK survived and celebrated when he defeated the Demon Bull Family.
After some time, Pigsy continued to operate his noodle store while fighting off and Bull Clones. But when the Demon Bull King got possessed by Lady Bone Demon, Pigsy and the others helped MK by fighting off the Bull Clones while MK freed the Demon Bull King from the spirit's possession.

Following Lady Bone Demon's takeover of Megapolis, Pigsy and his friends set out to reforge the Samadhi Fire in order to defeat her. However, Pigsy began to question the trustworthiness of Monkey King and the Monkie Kids' connection to the pilgrims, which persisted until the final battle. Pigsy is an incredibly short-tempered, stubborn yet loyal and good-hearted pig-man. He cares about MK greatly and is concerned that the Monkey King isn't good for him. Pigsy values tradition and hard-work.Pigsy is a short pink pig with a round build. He has whiskers on his cheeks and head.Pigsy's chef jacket has seven buttons instead of three.
Tang, occasionally known as Mr. Tang, is a member of the Monkie Kids. After the Demon Bull King was freed from his imprisonment, Tang was one of the four members that assisted MK in his quest to give the Golden Staff to the Monkey King. Eventually, Tang and the others celebrated when MK defeated the Demon Bull King.

At the time Lady Bone Demon began her plan to create the perfect world, Tang and the others embarked on their own Journey to the West in search for the three Rings of Samadhi, unlocking powers similar to the Great Monk Tang Sanzang's. As an expert on the legends of Monkey King, Tang is very well-informed and often helps the team with his knowledge. He is obsessed with noodles and will tell MK stories about Monkey King to get free noodles in return.[7] He shows a large amount of pride and gets very excited to tell stories about the old legends.[8] He is often stress eats.[9] Tang prefers to cram rather than study.[2] Despite describing himself as relaxed and cool, Tang is quite cowardly when it comes to demons, especially ones he thinks are going to eat him, though he will always pull through and be brave when he needs to.
It was later revealed that despite Tang's utter lack of skills compared to the others, he believes that he would one day be someone his friends could count on.[10] He also believes that friendships have to be made by choice, as he told the Scorpion Queen this after she kidnapped him.
Tang is somewhat lazy, as he doesn't pay for his food and didn't help clean up the city after Pigsy's ping-pong fueled rampage.
Tang is an adult man with smooth black hair that is combed to the side. He wears round, gold rimmed glasses. His eyes are a medium brown.
