Yumemizuki Mizuki is an ancient yumekui-baku from Inazuma, a species of youkai capable of entering dreams and consuming nightmares. Centuries ago, she attended the Hyakumonogatari Taikai, where the various youkai clans gathered to exchange stories and debate their place in the world. As generations passed, Mizuki witnessed humans suffer from anxieties and emotional burdens that consuming their nightmares alone could never permanently resolve. Determined to understand the causes of such suffering, she left Inazuma and traveled through Liyue, Sumeru, and Natlan, studying human medicine and psychological treatment. During her travels, she learned to combine conventional therapeutic practices with her supernatural abilities, developing a treatment that addressed the underlying causes of nightmares rather than merely eliminating them. Upon returning to Inazuma, she invested in the struggling Aisa Bathhouse, becoming its principal shareholder and overseeing its renovation into a therapeutic establishment featuring hot springs and specialized psychological services. Her practice rapidly earned widespread recognition, although consuming particularly harmful nightmares exposed her to dangerous concentrations of negative emotions that she had to digest privately.

Her work faced a serious threat when a mysterious practitioner named Emura Ichigensai began offering treatments that seemingly eliminated his patients' unhappiness altogether. Investigating alongside the Traveler and Paimon, Mizuki discovered that his treatments merely suppressed painful memories and negative emotions, allowing them to accumulate within the patients' subconscious minds. The true perpetrator was Kuroyume, a surviving nightmare creature seeking to revive his nearly extinct kind by exploiting humanity's suffering. Mizuki pursued him into the borderland of Inazuma's collective subconscious, where she uncovered the troubled history of Emura Chuuya, whose despair Kuroyume had manipulated. After helping Chuuya confront his painful memories, she joined the Traveler in confronting Kuroyume within his nightmare domain. The creature nearly overwhelmed her through the concentration of negative emotions, but the Traveler surrendered a precious pleasant dream to restore her strength. Together, they defeated Kuroyume's immediate plans and escaped the dream realm, allowing Mizuki to continue treating the victims and restoring the bathhouse's reputation. She remains determined to establish a broader network of therapeutic services throughout Inazuma, seeking methods that can relieve human suffering without relying exclusively on the dangerous consumption of nightmares.

Appearance: Mizuki is an average height. She has fair skin, waist-length, light aqua hair, and pointed ears. She has droopy eyes with purple iris with spiral-shaped pupils and prominent red makeup painted at the corners. She also has a pinkish-purple tail curled around her right thigh, which she can uncurl to let it sway freely.

Her hairstyle features curls at the ends and two prominent buns at the back, resembling Onna Genroku buns with fan-like ornaments, while the rest of her hair flows freely. She also has distinct, straight, cheek-length sidelocks and bangs, along with two wavy locks of hair that extend over her shoulders to her chest, curling at the bottom. She has a white frilled head accessory at the crown of her head, adorned with a thin lavender headband, a bow, and purple, rounded, slightly puffed loops at each end of the headband.

Her outfit is a yukata-inspired ensemble. The base color is a soft lavender, accented by deeper purple and pink hues. The upper part of her outfit features wide, flared sleeves with intricate swirling patterns resembling clouds or waves. The sleeves and hem of her Yukata are lined with frilly, layered white fabric. The centerpiece of her outfit is an obi belt, decorated with purple and magenta ribbons, a rosette ornament at the waist, and tassels hanging down. The skirt portion of her outfit is short and layered, with ruffled pink and white details. She wears okobo sandals with purple and white straps. These sandals are detailed with bows at the back, additional tassels, and golden embellishments on the heels.

Personality: Mizuki is gentle, perceptive, and exceptionally patient, approaching others with genuine warmth regardless of their background. Her extensive psychological training allows her to recognize emotional distress and guide people through difficult experiences without judgment. Although she maintains a cheerful, relaxed demeanor, she is remarkably hardworking and frequently neglects her own well-being to accommodate her patients. She dislikes forcing people to discuss painful experiences, preferring to earn their trust through attentive conversation. Beneath her composure lies a competitive streak and a tendency to conceal her own insecurities, particularly when comparing her accomplishments with those of more prominent youkai. She is also an ambitious entrepreneur, hoping to make mental healthcare accessible through entertainment and leisure. Despite possessing the power to remove nightmares directly, she believes lasting recovery requires people to understand and confront the circumstances causing their suffering.

Her closest and oldest friend is Yae Miko, whom she has known for centuries, dating back to their childhood as neighboring youkai. Mizuki greatly admires Miko's intelligence and accomplishments, although their friendship has developed a playful rivalry between Aisa Bathhouse and Yae Publishing House. She remembers Kitsune Saiguu with affection and witnessed the profound grief her disappearance caused Miko. Mizuki respects the Raiden Shogun for protecting Inazuma, while recognizing the suffering caused by the nation's prolonged isolation. She has a professional relationship with her fellow yumekui-baku therapists, including Shion and Murasaki, whose safety she takes seriously. Her two small baku companions, Ya-chan and Te-chan, are manifestations of her own emotional and rational faculties, helping her maintain psychological balance. She develops considerable trust in the Traveler and Paimon following their assistance against Kuroyume, becoming comfortable discussing the emotional burdens she normally conceals. She also treats Emura Chuuya with compassion despite his involvement in Kuroyume's schemes, recognizing the unresolved suffering that made him vulnerable to manipulation.

As a yumekui-baku, Mizuki possesses the innate ability to enter dreams, navigate the subconscious, and consume nightmares to relieve psychological distress. She can examine memories and emotional disturbances within dreams, although particularly intense nightmares can harm her when consumed. Her Anemo Vision allows her to manipulate wind through a catalyst, channeling elemental energy into her attacks. Her technique Pure Heart, Pure Dreams produces successive bursts of Anemo energy, while Aisa Utamakura Pilgrimage allows her to enter the Dreamdrifter state, floating above the ground and releasing continuous waves of wind that sweep through nearby enemies. Her elemental mastery also strengthens the interaction between Anemo and other elemental forces.

Her most elaborate technique, Anraku Secret Spring Therapy, gathers dreams and nightmares into a powerful Anemo vortex and summons a Mini Baku that produces Yumemi Style Special Snacks. These supernatural treats can restore vitality or release destructive Munen Shockwaves, depending on their recipient's condition. Her techniques Bright Moon's Restless Voice and Thoughts by Day Bring Dreams by Night allow her to sustain her Dreamdrifter state and draw additional strength from nearby elemental activity. Beyond combat, Mizuki possesses extensive knowledge of psychological treatment and therapeutic medicine acquired through her travels across Teyvat. She combines these disciplines with her supernatural abilities to treat nightmares, manage emotional distress, and help patients recover from psychological trauma.
