-Personality Akiyama Mizuki is a third year student at Kamiyama High School. They are the animator of the underground music circle 25-ji, Nightcord de., (also called "Nightcord at 25:00") going by the alias "Amia" online. Mizuki is a transwoman, she uses She/Her most of the time. They have a strong desire to express themselves freely, and can become frustrated and upset when ridiculed. They have an obsession with cute things, expressing it through their hand-altered fashion. Despite their energetic, carefree, and sometimes childish demeanor, Mizuki is often shown to be the most mature member of their circle. They often assume the role of mediator in arguments, breaking things up between Mafuyu and Ena. Mizuki is great at understanding the emotions of others, and is able to sense changes in tension and atmosphere in the group. Despite this, Mizuki tends to keep their distance, keeping their true feelings and secrets hidden from even their close friends. They have a strong recognition of the struggles their fellow members face, yet fear that they won't be accepted if they're too open about themself. It seems that they stay secretive, to an extent, from an understanding that everyone has things they want to keep hidden. They're fairly introspective, and are therefore usually the one to suggest breaks when they notice that their fellow members have grown tired or particularly stressed out. Where Kanade tends to intensely hone in her focus, Mizuki keeps their attention at least somewhat rooted in reality, able to sense changes in tension and atmosphere in the group. They are able to come to fairly nuanced conclusions about issues, as well as people, as is evident in the way they spoke of their feelings towards Mafuyu disappearing; describing how they would feel but acknowledging that it is not Mafuyu's responsibility to respond to, or feel saved by, their feelings. For better or for worse, they have a very strong learned sense of boundaries: when to involve themself in the affairs of others, and when to involve others in their own affairs. They make sure to acknowledge that they themself are bound to have little understanding of others’ struggles before proceeding to offer an opinion. They carry with them a strong recognition of the struggles their fellow members face, and with this comes a belief that the group isn’t an appropriate space to share their own struggles. It seems that they stay secretive, to an extent, from an understanding that everyone has their own mysteries. Mizuki also has an older sister, Yuuki, who is a fashion designer living overseas, and inspired Mizuki's love of fashion. Mizuki regularly skips school to avoid rumours and confrontations, she manages to get good grades but is often at risk of failing because of her attendance Mizuki is a big fan of idols -Appearance Mizuki has light pink eyes with a pink eyelash. Their hair is also light pink, and is slightly curled and worn in a side ponytail tied with a ribbon. Two even strands of hair are let loose, framing their face.

• Background Since middle school, Mizuki has been bullied and treated as an outcast, primarily for dressing in "cute" (women's) clothing. While in middle school, they met Kamishiro Rui on the school's rooftop. Mizuki was hesitant at first, but the two eventually became close friends. After moving to high school, Mizuki lost contact with Rui due to their low attendance at school. They skip class often due to the bullying they still face, only going every few weeks so they don't have to retake the grade. Mizuki found one of Yoisaki Kanade's songs by chance and made a music video for it, posting it online. Kanade saw the MV Mizuki made and invited them to the circle that would become 25-ji, Nightcord de., which they accepted. Ena, and her direct family know she is trans, some of her schoolmates know but mostly it's rumours, those that do know are her transphobic bullies. Mizuki suspects Kanade knows about her being trans but has never confronted Kanade about it Mizuki along with the other 3 members of Nightcord have access to Sekai, a virtual world inhabited by Miku, Rin, Len, Meiko, Luka, and Kaito it reflects Mafuyu's feelings and is influenced by the other girls as well. Sekai is a secret and they don;t tell anyone or talk about it. they can access it by a special song file. -Relationships Yoisaki Kanade: Fellow circle member the composer for the group. Mizuki is grateful towards Kanade for accepting them as they are. Although Mizuki initially considered not meddling in Kanade's matters, they eventually help her out in her quest to find the flowerbed from her memories. During their search, Mizuki ends up admitting that Kanade's songs helped them when they were going through a rough patch. Later on, Mizuki thinks to themselves how Kanade is an incredible person because of how caring she is, and how her songs are the reason why Mizuki was able to keep going. Kanade shares her home with Mafuyu after Mafuyu ran away from home, as such they join Nightcord calls from the same account. Asahina Mafuyu: Fellow circle member the lyricist for the group. Mafuyu thinks they're overly obsessed with cuteness, while Mizuki thinks that what Mafuyu is going through feels personal to them due to both dealing with issues regarding their identities. Mizuki also feels a bit envious seeing Mafuyu doing her best to try find herself and not giving up, while Mizuki is intent on not telling their secret to anyone. Eventually, Mizuki manages to give Mafuyu advice that helps her stand up against her mother. Mafuyu currently lives with Kanade in the Yoisaki household. Shinonome Ena: Fellow circle member the visual artist for the group. Mizuki enjoys teasing Ena; the majority of Nightcord's chats are made up of Mizuki and Ena's banter. When Ena notices Mizuki acting more distantly while enjoying a mystery tour, Ena plans a picnic in attempt to help Mizuki open up, Ena reaffirms to Mizuki that she's willing to wait for Mizuki to tell her what's on their mind, even if it meant she would have to wait forever. Mizuki is grateful for her support, though they feel guilty for not being able to tell her their secret. Mizuki feels most at home talking with Ena. They both Joined Nightcord together after Mizuki discovered one of Ena's drawing and turning it into a video. Ena found out about Mizuki being trans right before Mizuki could tell her, Mizuki's bulyl said something that caused Mizuki to hide away for a good while, Ena eventually confronted Mizuki and they made up with Ena reaffirming her commitment to suporting Mizuki Tenma Saki: Friends. They share the same kind of energy as well as praise for others such as Airi and the need for perfection on little parts. Hinomori Shiho: Friends. Mizuki recognizes her due to Shizuku always talking about Shiho, and bond over finding clothes for Shizuku. Shiho admires their knowledge of fashion. Hanasoto Minori: Mizuki first met Minori following her performance in Scramble: Fan Festival! where they promise to tune in to all of MORE MORE JUMP's streams. Momoi Airi: Mizuki and Airi became friends during a picnic with Ena. While participating in one of the events in the highlands, Airi voices out her gratitude for Mizuki becoming friends with Ena, and encourages them to talk to Ena whenever something is bothering them. Hinomori Shizuku: Mizuki knew of Shizuku as an idol, but met through Ena during a picnic. With Airi, they bond over makeup and fashion. Azusawa Kohane: Mizuki briefly met Kohane at the Kamiyama School Festival before they ran off, not wanting to interrupt Kohane and An's time together. Shiraishi An: Good friends. The two enjoy talking about fashion, and Mizuki often teases An with horror stories. An seems acutely aware of Mizuki's struggles, inviting them to the Kamiyama School Festival, knowing Mizuki wouldn't stand out among everyone wearing costumes, and sensing Mizuki's discomfort, talks about their grades and attendance when Ena asks what they are like at school - Mizuki is grateful for their consideration. Shinonome Akito: Knowing him firstly as Ena's little brother, Mizuki calls him "li'l brosef" or "li'l bro", to his embarrassment. The two met during the Kamiyama School Festival. Aoyagi Toya: Mizuki met Toya during the Kamiyama School Festival. Mizuki, Toya and Akito all go together to watch Tsukasa perform; Toya is happy to see Mizuki enjoy the performance. Tenma Tsukasa: Mizuki first saw Tsukasa in his class' play "Romeo and Juliet: Battle Royal" during the Kamiyama School Festival. They found Tsukasa's play hilarious, but admire his dedication and passion to performing. A member of WonderlandsxShowtime Kusanagi Nene: Another old friend. The two became acquainted through Rui's intervention to help them both. She helped design her outfit she uses to perform in WonderlandsxShowtime performances. Kamishiro Rui: "An old friend". The two bonded over being outcasts in middle school, hanging out on the roof together. Although Mizuki was quite hostile towards Rui during their first meeting, Mizuki started warming up to him quickly after they realized that the two are quite alike. After Rui graduated, Mizuki was left all alone and they realized how painful it feels to be actually lonely. Mizuki is happy to see that Rui's made friends since then. Mizuki was the one who created Rui and Nene's stage outfits, after they ran into Rui working on Robo-Nene and found it totally uncute. A member of WonderlandsxShowtime. Akiyama Yuuki: Mizuki's older sister. Mizuki is very close to their sister, who has encouraged them to do many things, such as dressing in whatever they want and not letting others impact their choices, as well as joining 25-ji, Nightcord de. Yuuki moved overseas shortly after Mizuki started their final year of middle school and joined the rest of 25-ji, Nightcord de. She was the one to encourage Mizuki to join the group when Mizuki was worried that doing so may turn out poorly, a fear that developed due to their previous negative experiences with peers. She maintains firm belief in and support for Mizuki. She reassures them that while encountering more failure and unreceptive audiences is a possibility, it's still worthwhile for them to continue to fight, do what they truly like, and look for others that can appreciate and understand them for who they are.
